Don't buy this software!

What was Warner thinking? Installed it on my kids computer...tried to run it...it said I was using a copied disk?? Huh? So I did a 3 gig+ full install and guess what, you still need the disk in the drive. It still said I was using a copied disk, which I wasn't. So I called...you know, the 20 min. wait thing. I was told it was because of the copy protection within the program detecting a burning program on my computer...such as Nero, etc...and you have to uninstall any type of burning program to run this crap. It will not let you run it if you have some capability to copy it?? Let me get this straight, they expect you to reconfigure your computer so you can run this thing? They are dictating what other programs you have on your computer? Are they insane? Hollywood out of control. I finally got the program to run and guess what, it is poor software anyway...not worth anyone's time. Leave this one on the shelf. junk.

Could Not Use

I read previous reviews about not being able to run the program because the computer recognized it as a copied disk. I thought this couldn't possibly happen on my high tech computer... I WAS WRONG... Even though I purchased a legitamate copy, the program still would not let me run it.... BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!

Like S.Boyer, I am having the trouble of not being able to play a legitimately purchased computer game because I also have a copying program on my computer. I also spent AT LEAST 20 minutes (on 2 different occasions) with customer support and both times was told I'd be getting an email with instructions on generating some report to submit to them - by the way, I'm still waiting for those emails. I finally got the report to run on my own and submitted it via email, but am now told it's incomplete. Since I don't even know exactly what the report says, I may never get the situation resolved! I am so disgusted with the whole thing and wouldn't recommend purchasing this game even for computer whizzes who might be able to figure out how to run it! I just don't think it should be this much trouble to play a game!

TOTALLY UNSATISFIED

I am extremely unhappy with this product. It is defective. I gave it as a Christmas gift to my daughter and was very disappointed to learn that it does not work.

This is an item that I purchased from Amazon.com that I am not satisfied with. I cannot install the game on my computer to play it. I had a relative try to install it on her computer and she also could not install it to play. She believes that it could be a damaged disk, and that I should pursue getting a refund or replacing it with another copy. I hope you can help me with this. Thank you for your support. Could be better

We played this in a team format with another couple. We tried the "buzz in" version; we won't do that again. The "buzz in" keys were the "s" and the "c", a little close together considering there is a whole keyboard to use.

In order to score a point a player has to be "in control"; meaning that they won the last question. If a question is answered incorrectly the player loses a point. This sort of scoring caused the game to last over 3 hours!

Some of the trivia is ridiculous (What color shirt was Ross wearing in the last clip?), other questions made us think. Overall this is nothing more than a mediocre board game with some video clips; but what do you expect for the price of a board game. I think we will try the "Scene It - Friends Addition" instead.

definitely dissapointed

I was very excited to get this game but it ended up being a huge dissapointment. I'm a Friends fanatic and it got old very quickly... the game is really short first of all.. and there's no real point to it. I wouldn't buy it if i were you.

Trivia can be fun. Game Slow. PC Requirements Unrealistic

The game disk does not run on my laptop. But it will play it on my desktop computer. Very annoying, but at least I can play (other reviewers have not been so lucky).

The game has some good questions and I enjoy testing my Friends knowledge. The game itself is rather simple and not totally fun. The "game board" is the outside of the Friends' apartment building. When you get a question right a window lights up. When you get one wrong a window dims. If you don't answer the question nothing happens. You win when all the windows on that floor are lit up. I would prefer that they make you answer all questions- none of this passing on a question- it would up the ante and perhaps add some excitement.

If you play a multi-player game you cannot select which letter is your buzzer and the letters assigned by the game designers are adjacent keys on the keyboard! It's silly for the two players to be huddled together, hovering over the same part of the keyboard when the designers could have selected other letter keys set further apart.

There are SOME video clips and still images accompanying the questions, but it's mostly a trivia game without visual aids or embellishments. Think Trivial Pursuit with a computer screen as the cards.

This game was a gift. If I had to do it over again I'd probably spend my money instead on Scene It! Friends Edition. As of right now, Scene It! Friends Edition is on sale at Circuit City for the same price as this game is on Amazon. (And though I haven't played it, the reviews of that game are much better than this one).

Very disappointed

Like many others customers, I am very disappointed with this product. It seems to have malfunction or something else, because to play properly, I have to re-insert the disc 9 or 10 times! It's such a shame... I am probably the biggest Friends fan in France :)) and I hoped that this software could last a little bit more my favorite TV show...

First, I have to say that I own all ten seasons and watch them on a regular basis with my wife. I purchased this for her and we matched wits over a "friendly" game. The trivia is mixed, some of the questions are hard while others are easy, but the narration by Gunther, Janice, and the Gellars along with the video clips makes it a lot of fun. I do have two complaints with the implementation of the game. I felt like the developers did not take full advantage of modern computing and gaming. The graphics and screen shots are more fitting to a board game. I think they could have "juiced it up" with something more. I mean, when you get a question right it lights a light on the outside of the apartment building ?! WHOOPY, I would have thought that some behind the scenes tours could be unlocked or some more worthy objective could have been introduced. HECK, even the cheesy cheering by the "Friends" on the Season's Trivia Tracks would have been better. This, in the end however, is a personal preference and to be fair, this is a trivia game and not a First Person Shooter, there are a lot of video clips to watch, and some insights into the show are revealed at the end of a gaming session. The second and last complaint is also a personal preference from doing the Season's Trivia Tracks. When you get a right answer it DOES tell you which one is right, but DOES NOT give you the context like the Trivia Tracks. So I end up frustrated when I miss one but do not really know why.

In the end, I can recommend this to any Friends Fan that has enjoyed the Trivia Tracks on their Season DVDs. The price is right to cover over my personal feelings and I still enjoy it even if I do feel it could have been better.
