No online support :(

This was a wonderful game. Beautiful graphics, fun gameplay, etc. But there was no online support which really bothered me. I was counting on playing this game online. GOD games response to this was that they couldn't add online support because ping times would be too high, it would only work on LAN. If you don't mind the lack of online capability, then you should definitely buy this game because single player mode is awesome.

I just wanna say that as hard as it may to believe, this game is not as hard as it sounds. I got about halfway through lvl 4 (on hard difficulty) with using a touchpad. A TOUCHPAD! do you have any idea how hard that is? well, once uv practiced the moves a little bit, it isn't all that hard. However, halfway through lvl 4, i got the chance to buy a new 2-button mouse, and let me tell you, if have trouble playing the game with that kind of mouse, well......you need a lot of practice. But anyways, besides from the MINOR difficulty it possessess, this game also has all the cool combos of a fighting game, more sneaking around (if you want to) than any James Bond game ive ever played, and some pretty sweet guns. However, if you don't like sneaking up behind someone to break their back, stomp on their head, grab their gun and blow their brains out, than don't bother playing, cuz thats what this game is ALL about. And lemme tell you, this game has got the story as well, that's right. No mindless wandering with no plot, this game makes you really get into it with constant twists and cool fights. And if you like anime, buy it anyways.

Oni is the sort of game that I wanted to be playing when Tomb Raider came out. Oni is a perfect blend of 3rd person action and strategy, with story lines that actually give the game some depth. Konoko is the sort of main character that could knock Lara Croft off her pedestal in an instant!

One of Bungie's Best Games Ever

It's really sad that this game was at a disadvantage as soon as it was released due to it being long overdue from Bungie. However, it is probably one of Bungie's best games. It had one of the most engrossing storylines of their games probably with only Myth and some of the Marathon series being in the same area as it. The fighting was great in this game, the weapons were interesting and varied. It was so sad though it had no multiplayer in the end but overall it is a single player game that I have gone back to time and time again.

DL'd and played the three demo levels of Oni--well worth the wait. Hand to Hand combat unlike anything I've played. Buy it, NOW.

This is a really fun game. If you like acrion this is really cool. it is very different from many action games because you can use your fists in melee combat.

Oni - Ground breaking interface

This is a very good game with an interesting storyline and a challenging combat system.

My only complaint is that about 3/4 of the way through the game I lost interst in the storyline and just plodded away, attacking everything in sight just so I could finish the game. The final battle was more about figuring out how to find a pattern in the opponents combat than using skills honed through the previous play. Simply put it just became tedious. Keep in mind that I'm not a big fan of 1st Person Shooters (Doom and it's permutations). My favorite game to date is Myth II. So if you like to balance your Action with some Strategy you may agree with my assesment.

Just the same it's a great game. It raises the bar on 1st Person Fighter Games by coupeling it with a 1st Person Shooter and adding a storyline which brings it into the realm of Adventure Game. It's a great combination. Some of the levels are truly inspired. If the money I shelled out to buy Oni keeps the guys at G.O.D. producing more games of this caliber it was worth every penny.

Bashing that "W" key to a pulp

First of all for Bungie to release this game for Mac at the same time as the other platforms gets a star automatically.

It's Deus Ex meets Ghost in a Shell all in a smooth playing Open GL environment. The lack of a right click button makes it near impossible to do some of the fancy kick moves in a fight but fortunately the old John Wayne punching works well in most situations. I found the "W" or run key not being always reliable and at times was innundated with ninjas beating me down while I'm frantically bashing the keyboard.

The weapons in this game are the ULTIMATE particularly the 'mercury bow' and the 'screamer'. I really hope this will be a first in a series of Oni releases.

I have not been able to stop playing this game and believe I'm near the end all while frustratingly loving every minute.
