0ne reason to buy this game is because another godzilla game godzilla unleashed has more monsters an awsome storyline. One reason to buy save the earth is that one extra monster but its much of differents but you should buy both.

Godzilla: finally a Great Must Own Game!

Wow was I surprised when I played this!!! the selection of monsters is HUGE also great destructable environments! power up's and tons of extras to keep you coming back for more. godzilla hasn't looked this great ever in motion picture history with all the Great Sound Effects of the creatures! definately a sweet fighter, a great godzilla game and wonderfully done my only gripe was the lock on system, its a tad off because when you "lock on" and launch a special attack like breat weapon etc it does NOT auto aim at the target you MUST be facing the target to hit it with a lock on otherwise a Stellar title!

Graphics: 5 of 5 easily. godzilla and friends are beautifully rendered in this game!

Sound: Supreme creature sounds otherwise above avg. 4 1/2 stars

Fun and Replayability: 5 star! Tons of unlockable monsters, arenas, cities, and concept art and tons more including minigames! this title will keep you coming back for more with ease!

This game is incredibly fun. There is really no point, but it is fun to fight with giant monsters from the Godzilla movies.

SO MUCH FUN!!!

I don't have anything actually NEW to say about this game. If you have sought this out because you want to (a) be Godzilla and battle all the other monsters in the G-verse (and smash a pleasant variety of cities in the process) or (b) want to battle Godzilla and the other monsters AS one of the other monsters, you really won't be disappointed.

Really good graphics, easy-to-learn controls... What more could you ask for?

This is a fight game, nothing more, but it doesn't try to pretend it's anything more. Mash the buttons fast and laugh with your friends who are either watching you play or playing with you.

Good, clean fun for anyone in the room!

The Godzilla Movies Should Have As Much Action

This is what you wish for as you sit there watching the Godzilla movies...more monster action. Sometimes the monsters aren't even on screen in the movies for more than 50% of film. Well, you don't have to worry about that with the video game. Godzilla: Save The Earth is all out monster battle!

Most of your favorite monsters are here for you to choose from. Hardly any are missing. In fact, I must have lost touch with some of the later Godzilla movie releases, because the game introduced me to some new monsters. You get to pick whichever monster you want to be, then you go to battle against your most popular foes.

You can pick and battle against any of the following: Godzilla 1990s (but not burning Godzilla), Godzilla 2000, SpaceGodzilla, MechaGodzilla 2, MechaGodzilla 3, King Ghidora, Mecha-King Ghidora, Gigan, Mothra (larva or moth), Rodan, Anguirus, Megalon, Megaguirus & Destroyah; and the ones that I'd never seen in the movies: Orga, Moguera, Baragon & some Power Ranger looking thing called Jet Jaguar.

You control as a third person all of your monster's actions. Each monster has unique moves and abilities that take some practice to master with different controller commands.

Most of the monsters need to be unlocked through successful gameplay before they are available. If memory serves me correctly, The Godzillas, Anguirus & Megalon are the only ones unlocked from the beginning. Only gameplay in single player Action Mode will earn points that can be used to unlock monsters and/or arenas in "the store".

The arenas are: Tokyo, Osaka, Monster Island, Seattle (the previous four being the only ones unlocked from the beginning), New York, San Francisco, London, Boston, Los Angeles, the Asteroid Belt, the Mothership and a Boxing Ring.

There's also a 2-player mode (Versus), an up to 4-player mode (Melee), and a couple of practice modes (Challenge & Survival). You can also set up Godzilla: Save The Earth for online play, which I have not done.

Why this game has a T rating is beyond me! My 5 year old loves this game, and he has made sushi out me in Versus and Melee modes. So if you're a parent who is contemplating getting this game for a Godzilla-loving pre-teen, I'd say there's nothing here that will warp you kid's little mind.

The graphics are the only downfall to this game; they are extremely cartoonish. But that doesn't take away from the game's fun. Overall, it's a really fun purchase...especially for a Godzilla fan.

Sadly, it's hard to find a new Playstation2 version of this title other than from third party sellers (that's how I got my copy and it went without a hitch). The X Box version is, as of this writing, still available new on Amazon.

THE GAME I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!

Yo this game is WICKED!!!! Years ago, the only Godzilla game available was for the Gamecube and the Xbox... But now there's finally one for PS2!!!

This game is awesome,'cause you get to play as most of the monsters from the original franchise!!! You also get to beat up on your enemies and destroy cities!

The game isn't that violent, yet there's a lot of hitting and beating up... but it's only monsters!!! People who love godzilla, fighting games, or any fun game will love this!!! Highly recommended.

The best and only Godzilla game...

We love this game! My son has played it quite a bit and earned a few monsters, but it really picked more interest when we unlocked alot more of the monsters...Godzilla fans already know that this is a great game...but if you are non-Godzilla fan, then you might get hooked :) ...so many cities to destroy with so many monsters - love it! Who would think that one could pick up so much geography knowledge by playing Godzilla :)

I love this game
