Alright it looks like a Zelda clone on the surface but it has litttle in common. and another thing, it may look like a easy game but its anything BUT!!!!!!!! this game would have been perfect if it wern't for a couple of problems: the game is not long enough, fixed camera angles. aside from that its perfect.

The best game I have everplayed!

Brave Fencer Musashi is the best game I've ever played. With great graphics, an awesome storyline an superb fighting action put Brave Fencer Musashi at #1. Musashi grows stronger the more you battle and the more techniques you learn the stronger Musashi gets. Fusion, the sword you start out with, has the ability to assimilate actions such as gunshot, stun, bowl, and much more. You do this by pressing down R1 until the gauge at the left of the screen fills, aim towards the enemy you want to assimilate and press square. That throws Lumina at your enenmy then right when it gets to him rapidly press the square button until the gauge at the left of your screen fills up and you assimilate the technique. Lumina the sword you have to find in the beginning of the game has many functions. You can use the power of the five scrolls with Lumina after you have found the scroll and give it a good smack. The five scrolls are Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Sky. All five do different things. When you get certain items called the Legendary Armor you can do different things such as L-brace, it allows you to climb walls using Lumina and Fusion.

I recomend buying the strategy guide for this game because some parts of the game are extremely difficult. A little guidance is good with this game. I think that Brave Fencer Musashi is worth every penny and you will never regret buying it.

this game is so cool. it has great gameplay, bad guys, and boss fights. you have a cool technique called assimilation which allows you to steal a power from someone, but sometimes it is manditory to assimilate to proceed.through the game there will be different powers you will recieve by beating bosses. one con is the tree breaking down, its pretty hard.

This game is TOO AWESOME to describe!!!

This game is AWESOME!!! I played the demo of it, and as soon as I finished the demo, I knew I had to play the full version. So one day I rented it. It was a BLAST!!! I fell COMPLETELY in love with game!!! Oh! And I expect the same thing in the sequel. That's right, the sequel!!! It's due March 2005, and is called Musashi Samurai Legend!!! So if you liked the first game, expect HIGH hopes from the sequel!!!

Brave Fencer Musashi is one of the most horrid things ever to come out of Square. In fact, the only game by square that is worse is Ehrgeiz. The gameplay in Musashi is okay but the dubbing and puzzles are all very low rate, if you're looking for a fantastic RPG, check out Xenogears or Final Fantasy (any of them).

Short And Sweet!

First of all, if you are expecting a lengthy text ridden Final Fantasy or Xenogears type of RPG, look elsewhere... Musashi is a legendary swordsman in Japan and in this game you will get to control him throughout chapters that take you all over the place and meet fun new people and enamies alike. Musashi weilds two swords that each serve there purpous and are very fun to use. This is a Squarsoft made game so expect a very nice soundtrack and some nice graphics as well. Yeah Musashi's voice is a little on the childish side but maby thats because well....HES A CHILD. And it never bothered me since he is a uber powerhouse and a legendary swordsman. There is also a night/day system and certain shops will be open at certain times making the town feel alive. Also, like any good rpg there are tons of unique items and relics to collect throughout the game and side quests abound! So yeah this game is great and its getting hard to find for cheap so go get yourself a copy and enjoy, Brave Fencer Musashi!

Pretty Good Action RPG

Brave Fencer Musashi is the first action RPG that I have played on the Playststion, and I must say that I was a little disapointed. The main problem with this game is that it is just too short, and that the plot isn't as detailed or as interesting as FF7 or Xenogears. What the game lacks in those two departments it maks up for with excellant graphics and sweet gameplay. I really enjoy the attack system in this game which is original, and useful. Even though the game is kinda short, it does offer a nice challenge in some areas of the game. I would recommend this game for younger role playing fans, most fans of games like FF7 might find this game a little too easy and childish.

Great gameplay, but the voices get annoying!

For RPG fans and adventure fans alike, this game is for you. It combines the two so perfectly that it is a great gaming experiance. However, this is only put down by the annoying voices.
