Over a year has passed from part 1 and The Third Energy recklessly caused another inccident . Edward City has been replaced with a prehistoric jungle .You control as Regina and Dylan .There are 10 different dinosaurs and you can buy weapons with the points you earn for killing dinosaurs .This game looks better than part one .I suggest you buy this game if you like Resident Evil.

the best survivul horror game ever!

Dino Crisis, the original, was an o.k. Resident Evil style game with dino's thrown in for fun.

Well, Dino Crisis 2 breaks the mold of the Resident Evil game play style and implements a tremendously addicting new way to kill dino's! More of an arcade tomb raider shooter, DC2 really brings home the feeling of "walking with dinosaur's". There are more than 10 different types of dino's, most of them very familiar (some are from Jurassic Park).

Game play is very easy (I've only played the normal difficulty so far), yet extremely entertaining. Each dead dinosaur is worth a number of "points". Kill a few dino's in a row and build up combo points. Kill a dino when it's attacking and receive a counter multiplier. All the points you collect are used to buy better weapons, ammo, tools, and health items. Since your able to hold two weapons at a time in DC2, getting better weapons with more points is a very important part of the game.

Overall, DC2 is far better than the original Dino Crisis, yet creates a new type of survival horror, "Blast-A-Dino" Horror.

If your looking for another dinio crisis 1, look else where, where the 1st one was pretty mediocre and somewhat boring, this new one is really fast and has lots of dino blasting action! I hesitate to call this ''survivor horror'' more like action, arcade-styled. The graphics are amazing, many new dinos and weapons have been added, our fave babe Regina looks a LOT better (yummy buns!) Blah blah... get this.. lets hope part 3 comes out soon!

Improved gameplay but to a fault

I rented this game and enjoyed it very much. I do intend to buy it. However, since I have yet to finish DC1, I figured I would only get through half of the game (at best) before I would have to return the game. I beat the game in one day. The problem is the new game design. I love it because you never have to worry about running out of ammo or health power ups. Not only can you blast away until your heart is content, it is recommended. You will need the points in order to buy characters in the dino arena game. You also don't have to worry about carrying your items. Once you have an item, it is with you until you use it or until the end of the game. It is these features that makes the game go so quickly. You don't have to do as much running back and forth to rooms and save stations as in the Res. Evils or DC1. You also don't need to buy many of the featured items to win the game. Here are some tips: {1} To beat the game, you'll only need to buy the mine tosser, the long flamethrower, the double guns, the anti-tank gun, the underwater cannon, and have 200 rounds for the shotgun. Everything else is extra. {2} With proper practice and positioning, you can earn big "no damage" points in certain areas. {3} Be patient with trapping the little dino. Get the dino in to the room at the far left, then into the lab, finally the cage. {4} Aim for the back of the triceratops dinos' heads when the run along side the car. {5} As an example of tip 2, use the double guns at the pier areas to kill A LOT of the water long neck dinos. This is your biggest opportunity to earn HUGE points.

I just recently purchased Dino Crisis 2 and let me tell you I love the game to death.I've always been a loyal fan to Capcom ever since Mega Man and I really adore Resident Evil.Dino Crisis 2 stomps it's prerequisite into the ground and I'm not downing the first one,but DC 2 as a lot more stuff that the first one didn't.1:you no longer have to worry about running out of ammo or recovery items on account you can now purchase them with extinction points you get by killng dinos,2:there are more CG scenes than in the 1st one,3:there is more of a variety of dinos not just Raptor,T-rex,Compy,ETC,now you got Allosaurus,Triceratops,3 varietys of Raptors, and much, much more. This is one game you'll wanna chomp on more than once.

When I rented this game from my local video store, I was hoping for a game that would scare the pants off of me. Although it didn't succeed in that area, this is a great game nonetheless. This game stands out from the rest of the horror genre and most other games because of its gameplay, graphics, and gore. After finishing the first level, which was basically walking along a path and blowing the crap out of velociraptors, I thought that I had figured out the gist of everything. Kill the dinos and live. But this game has you finding keys to unlock doors, retracing your steps, and using strategy to conserve ammunition of health. Of course, you do have to shoot a lot of dinosaurs. The graphics are some of the best I've ever seen. The framerate is smooth and the foliage is magnificent. I still watch the first cut scene just to look at the plants and try to decide if they're real or just animated. And the gore. Upon seeing the first movie after staring a new game, you can tell that this is a game that lets it all out. You are going to see dinosaurs get ripped apart in glorious fashion and you die in so many different ways it would make your head swim if I told you about them. There are a large variety of dinosaurs and areas you get to fight them in, which is nice. The extinction point system of earning points for kills and spending them on new items that will help you along the way is ingenious. It goes along perfectly with the style of gameplay. This game is an excellent addition to anyone's video game library.

Dino Crisis 2: Reviewing the best.

I recently purchased Dino Crisis 2 and beat it. My official judgement for the game is simple, it is a must have. I gave it five stars. Graphics are excelent, plotline is good but a times will make you turn heads. A great game all around.

You control two dynamic characters, Dylan Morton a TRAT special task force member with a confusing role. Regina returns for this mission. If you are into games where things just jump out at you unexpectedly, Dino Crisis 2 is the game for you, because it is packed with much heart-pounding action and intensity. Within thirty minutes of play, I had already blasted about twenty maybe thirty dinos and came in contact with about four species.

I hope I was able to help you in your decision to buy this outstanding game.

Great Great Points are Great on DC2

I must tell you that you will not get bored with this game. If you liked blowing away dino's in the first game, get ready because you will busy with plenty of dinos in this one. The only thing about this game was there didn't not seem to be as many puzzles in this game as in the first one. Don't worry though you won't have time to think in some of the situations you get put into. Don't forget big dinos are worth more points and more points means more gear.
