This is not like the Frogger we knew and loved

Grand visions of my favorite arcade game from the 80's filled my head as I purchased the new Frogger. I rushed home and put it in my Playstation only to be completely frustrated. The first level is like the old Frogger I remembered, but the rest is completely different. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind change, but the least these people could have done was created a game that was playable. It is very difficult, and after a couple of frustrating days I put the game away to collect dust. It's not just me, friends have reported the same thing. Be warned, those of you who are trying to recapture your youth, it's not the same old Frogger we knew and loved.

This is Much better that it seems!

Frogger is one of the best 3D games. It has loads of levels (not just ones where you cross roads) including Ice Skating Ones, Metal Ones and River Ones! Great game

The new Frogger is a combination of easy fun and frustratingly hard. It is a bit addicting - my friends and I just HAD to get past a certain level before we turned off the console.. but it gets to the point where one would like to start to tear his/her hair out. The first level is the best (that's the classic Frogger), the second level sort of leaves me wondering where i am supposed to be hopping, the third level is impossible (i think it's just there for show), and it continues on like that -- some levels are tricky and fun, others are just not possible to complete, and others are very ambiguous about how to get to the goals. All in all, i liked the game. It has simple controls and it's fun to play by yourself or with a friend.

Frogger is a great game. it is fun to play, and has a ton of different levels. And the graphics are great and the levels are creative and interesting. The first level is easy, but after that, it gets VERY hard. It is impossible to get far without codes. I personally have not even beat half the worlds with the codes. But it's a great game, but don't get the idea that it's easy to beat, because it's not.

Once you start you can't stop playing

Ok I know its not like the old frogger or anything but I think they made it better. The only problem is it is so frustrating. Every time I play it I find myself wanting to break it in half. I got the game right when it came out and still haven't beaten it yet. I still have two levels to go. That just shows you how hard it is. But on two player it is awesome. It is worth the money you pay for it.

the 1 player mode isn't the best, the 2 player is!

When you just get the game, you get so excited. But then it turns out pretty boring. Are you dissipointed? You shouldn't be! Do you have friends? Invite one over and play the first and second level. To realy laugh jump on the other on in the middle of the road!

Very, very challenging game.

So far, I'm the only person I know that has beaten all the levels. This was acheived only with the help of the infinite lives code, an aweful lot of frustration, and a little (more than I'd like to admit) controller throwing. That said, the dumb thing is addictive. I played compulsively until I beat it. It is a neat game, but it's so hard that I'm not really sure it's all that fun. I hear the 2 player game is better, but have no second controller...

FROGGER - A GREAT game in all aspects.

- Classified: EVERYONE. - The classic arcade game in 3D - Dozen of challenging new levels - 9 unique new worlds - Up to 4 players on multi-player split screen - 3-D graphics and cool music scores

From the player stand-point: All the advertisement items above (from the back of the jewel box) are truthful. This game deserves a strong 5-STAR rating. The players start out with simple crossing-the-street scenarios in which frogger (main character of the game) has to cross busy traffic streets, or rivers. The strategy is simple: jump to the space to avoid cars, or hitting by the bridge, or eaten by the snakes, etc... The prizes are to save baby frogs in a shortest time and put your initials in the hall of fame. After winning several levels, in one of those levels, the players have a chance to capture a golden frog, which eventually will uncover other new worlds for more challenging levels. Higher levels involve adventures in dark caves, avoiding being crushed by funky machinery. The game is quite addictive (as an ultimate goal of the maker). To win the game, good hand-eye coordination is a must. In addition, simple strategy to optimize your "leaping" certainly helps at high levels. In fact, at high levels, perhaps only some game-playing whizzes can stand a chance of success.

From other stand-points: Graphics is great. Strategy is well-implemented. This game is surely a real thing for other game programmers to ponder until their own arcade games will ever be produced.

In brief, this game deserves a soundly 5-STAR "RIBBIT" rating.

Frogger is a very fun and addictive game. You thought he was fun in the arcade... now play him on playstation!

Gameplay-5/5 Frogger is back with nine new themes each with around three level and special split screen multi-player levels, lots of new moves and obsticals and of coarse, the original version. Loaded with addictive 3D fun! Need I say more?

Control-4/5 New moves, such as super hop, power croak, and heat seeking tongue. The only problem is sometimes you will hop the wrong way when you tell Frogger to move. Otherwise, fine.

Graphics-4/5 Alright. I admit it. It's no Playstation2, Gamecube, or Shenmue. But it's awesome if you consider that it's a normal playstation, 1998 game, it's fine.

Sound-3/5 The music is okay at first, I guess. But it can get repeative. Just the same with the sound FX.

Lasting Appeal-4/5 This game is great. It lasts a long time. It is NEVERending fun in multi-player especially.

If you have a Playstation2, or a huge collection, I don't think you should get this game. However if you have a normal Playstation, or only a few games, I would reccomend this game.

I remember aong time ago when I was 3 or 4 playing Frogger on my Atari. As time went on my Atari finnaly tore up never to work again. Nintindo came along then Sega and by the time I got a Sega I had lost most of my Atari Games. When I got my Playstation I seen Frogger in a video store and decided to rent it. The game was and still is corny but yet the fun kind of corny. The Atari Version was nothing like this one is. Great gameplay different levels. However if you like wild action hardcore games then this is not for you but if you want to relax and have fun playing then get this game. The sound is repeating but it is not annoying. On a side note the other day I was prowling through a box and what did I come across the Atari Frogger.
