Great game... though too much complexity and details ruin the game! GT1 is much better!

GT2 is basically the same as the original version. Same controls, same strengths and weaknesses as the original. Save your money if you still have GT1

When the original Gran Turismo was introduced in 1998 it was credited as one of the most advanced race car games. When one is playing in the simulation mode, one will get the realism of being a GT racer. Managing your money wisley is a task that this game teaches you. Getting into the good stuff...racing, it is amazing

i actually haven't played this in arcade mode... these gt games are great for depth in their sim. mode . controls are trickier to master than gt1 its easy at first to overcorrect. perhaps the game was a bit rushed . having said that there is 400 or so cars. the number of tracks is great.it makes for not a dull time. it seems a daunting task to save up for some of the cars. could take quite awhile (some are 1.5 million credits). i suggest from my limited experience (i don't have a license yet for the highest level) that you use a mitsubishi lancer vr-4 (used) . i'd like to see some other cars --like the v-12 bmw s , benzs; i'd like to see the saab 900 viggen and older saabs, ferrari, lamborghini, mcclaren, the new corvette (notably missing). i'd like to see a future version of gt with these cars. might be hard to get the licenses . they could use the cars with different names like cruising world did with their red 911 (porsche) lookalike. taken on its own terms gt2 is a great game. where else do you find such opportunity to drive cars with so much horsepower to try for new top speeds. the license tests can be quite daunting/challenging and quite rewarding. i reserve the right to reuse my words, you may use them but i am a professional writer and reserve the right to reuse them as i see fit. i hope you do choose to circulate my review.

My son and I are amateurs in Gran Turismo, and we see that this version doesn't fill the expectations that we waited. We are fanatic of the careers of cars, and me in the personal thing I have been a pilot. comes closer but to the reality the previous version that this. The graphs are poor, you cannot record your game in any moment until going to the principal menu, you cannot call the garage that you bring then of the GT then you have to begin your licenses from the beginning, the inside view from the booth continues being a front screen, it should include details of the interior of each car.

I started with GT3. It took a while to get used to the handling (6 hrs of lic test). The handling gets better with different cars. To get better handling & traction for tighter turns get racing tires. I love GT3 so I picked up GT3 just know. Great. Great. Great. More cars. More tracks. It's the only PS1 game thats worthy enough to get some play on my PS2. That speaks volumes all in it's self..

I can sit and play ths game for hours and not get bored. It is not very hard (at a early stage in the game)and then it gets harder. you start off with 10000 and i bougt a micra turbo for 3445 and then i bougt a skyline and i havn't bought a new car since. The game has really good realism and good graphics. it is also realistic the way you can buy used cars like i did at the beggining but whats unrealistic is that when you buy a used car it is still there when you look to buy another one. This is a great game and i highly recommend it. Hint: When you start off i recommend you buy a used nissan skyline because they are fast and cheap.

Playing this game with my kids is great. It is also frustrating when your 10 year old can drive it better than you can. The most difficult part I had was trying to keep from crashing on every turn. It can be very frustrating if you can't get the hang of turning. Other than that it's fun and the kids aren't in front of the t.v. as long because once a race is over it's over. No higher levels to achieve to keep them playing hours on end. At least I don't think so. Each race is different depending on the car you're driving and the track you're on and the person you are racing.

I Disliked Grsn Turismo beacuse you can not buy a good car at the begining and to get a good car you need to get a lisince wich is hard, also there are no built in codes, you need gameshark, than it would be fun
