Great game to play with you child

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 15 / 17

Just got this the other day and found it to be a fun game to play WITH you child. I emphasis WITH not AGAINST as you MUST cooperate with you playing buddy for either of you to move through the game. The control and graphics are great and the puzzles are easy enough to not be frustating but hard enough to present some challenge.

Old-school gamers only

If you are reading this review, you'll probably love this game. It has a lot more in common with old-school 8- and 16-bit classics like Bomberman, Ice Climber, Wrecking Crew, etc. than with any modern games. If you bought PS2 just for Madden and GT3, you'll hate this game. Cute characters, wacky music, weird story and wildly inventive gameplay. Basically, you control two characters in a race against time. You can't really *die* or run out of lives, which is good, because there are points that would be incredibly frustrating. Both characters need to work in conjunction, each tripping switches, etc. on his side of the course to open things up for the other character. I would imagine this would be a blast two player, but with just one player controlling both rabbits, it gives new meaning to the word "challenge". You really need to learn to watch both characters and the game demands you perfect the art of doing two things at once. Once you get into the groove of it, it's not so bad and you'll start to have fun. I'm really happy they are releasing quirky games like this on the PS2 so early in its life. With PSX, we had to wait a while to get the really weird games. You can tell alot about what kind of gamer I am by the first three games I bought for PS2-- this game, Fantavison and Star Wars Super Bombad racing. I'm way old-school and enjoy puzzle and aracde-type games. This one was right up me alley. I'm guessing you are either going to love or hate this game depending on your preferences. There probably isn't really a middle ground.

This game stinks

I recently played this game at a Game Show in Japan. I did not find this game fun at all!! The game has many "old school" games that you do not want to try after about 2 minutes of play!! I recommend that you wait to get another good game coming out or wait this fall and get xbox...

Probably the first really unique game for the system

To begin with, this game is unlikely to sell many copies. It is a strange mix of childrens graphics with difficult gameplay. The game is so difficult that single player mode is almost impossible and very frustrating. Your fingers get tied up. 2 player is a far more pleasent experience (although it too can be slightly jarring since you are solving puzzles while constrained for time). The control and graphics are both quite good - which are the two most important game metrics for me.

Finally, there is really nothing else out there like this game. Sure you could have DOA: Hardcore or Rayman:Revolution - both of which are excellent games - but realistically purchasing this game lets publishers know that there is a market for highly original concepts. Plus it is just fun to play. If you liked Samba De Amigo, Worms, MTV music Generator, Incredible Crisis, or any other genre bending, low selling games... add this to the collection. It is a keeper.

very interesting gameplay.

At first when i saw this game i thought, cool crash bandicoot. but then when i first played it i was suprised at how slow (not super slow but not fast like crash) the characters move. But then as I got better and the levels got harder i thought , thank god they move slow. One thing i liked was the coordination it makes you learn to play the game. You start off with simple cause and effect type puzzles, cookie presses a button, cream passes an obstacle. But later on in the game you start having to do simultaneous movements to cross puzzles, and that is where your brain gets crossed. But the early levels prepare you for this well, and most likely you will be very impressed with yourself for being able to control both characters on the same controller. Also there are pretty many ingenious moments where you figure out a perfect combination of movements that will get you past a certain part.

What i didnt like about the game was: 1. Time limit : in itself it is ok, but everytime you fall off a ledge or get hit , you loose 20 seconds of precious time. 2. Whats worse is the stupid flying things that attack you if cookie or cream stand around without movie for more than 6or 7 seconds (there is away around this by holding the stick to have one walk constantly into the wall, but still so annoying considering when they attack you they wont let go until they shave off a good portion of your time) 3. you can only save the game after you beat a boss. and getting to a boss means playing through 4 levels of puzzles... so what if you get through the first 3 levels but level 4 is too hard for the moment....no way you can save it for later...youll have to play the first 3 levels again.... on the flipside...after you get through a level, no matter how hard it was the first way through, when you do it again. youll be suprised and impressed at your sudden coordination and precision.

This game is great. It is original and fun. The graphics are fun and colorful and the levels progress at a natural increase in difficulty.

Very Unique, Very Challenging

The unique and fresh gameplay easily overcome the shortcomings of this title. The cooperative mode is fantastic with a learning curve that is just about right. Single player is designed for those who like to push themselves, who thrive on having to keep track of multiple situations. I purchased this game as a vote of confidence in the hopes that more innovative title will continue to come out. While not a powerhouse that pushes the PS2 to the edge, by passing on this game you are truely shorting yourself an experience that will make the PS2 (hopefully) a gamers favorite.

It's an unique game.

For those of you who are getting bored with so much fighting and racing, this is the perfect game for you. It's new, it's creative and it's lots of fun. It has great grafics and funny voices and I would love to meet whoever thought up those bunnies with flowerpots and umbrellas on their heads. I think it's great!

Can be fun - can also cause yelling!

My fiancee and I bought this game knowing that we'd have fun - and be at each others throats!! Becuase you have to work together to solve the puzzles - you rely on each others 'skills'. You work on puzzles but seperately - so if, in her case, your partner is not good at timing jumps, they could end up killing your chances ! Thus - the old "COME ON! JUMP without falling to your death!!" - so - to let frustrations out you can compete each other for 'stars' in the 'versus' mode- they could have made this mode much better though (thus the 3 stars) - why not have options for vs. such as 'no time limit' - extra weapons, etc.....in the 'story' mode - some cut scenes would have added to the story as well to help the overall feel that you're helping to get the moon back...all in all it's a fun game - and the good part is you don't have to know 371 combinations to get your character to do what you want. If you're young, and love the zillions of combo-moves for a character- skip this game; if you want easy control and a 'fun' game - then this is a good one.

Great Game for Kids

My daughters of 4 and 6 love this game. I like it too because it doesn't have any violence and they learn cooperation. The graphics are good and the concept is unique. It's it's own genre.

Good game for two or more players.

This is a really good 2P cooperation game that's next to impossible to play by yourself. You may be better playing with someone who's the same or better experience with games as you, otherwise it can turn into a yelling match ("NO! Pull the knob! Watch out! Jump!").
