I can't get any more golden spatulas and I can't find anymore. Once you get half way through the industrial park, it gets a little hard. The hard parts in the industrial park are Spongebob's dream and Infestation at the Krusty krab. It's still fun, but I usually get mad. I would recommend this for kids that are older than me, like 9 or 10 year olds.

Best game ever!

This is a really beautiful game, and Jonathan, who is 6, loved it to pieces. Unfortunately it only starts occasionally. Our other PS-2 games are fine, but two copies of this title froze on the copyright screen most times we tried to load it. Jonathan only got to play it twice in two days!

Very disappointing, and we wouldn't have minded so much if the game wasn't so good when it *did* work.

This game has bad graphics but come on it's a Nickoloden cartoon video game! Anyway, the graphics don't totally mess up the game because it is a ton of fun. I play it mostly for laughs and to tell you the truth, some tasks you have to do are very challenging. You get to go to a lot of places that are in certain eposides. For example, you get to go to Rock Bottom and when you go to the vending machine a bus drives by. Also, when you go to Sand Mountain you slide on your tounge just like in the cartoon. This game is fun for all ages and it is very funny.

This game is well designed and very F.U.N.! Lots of areas to explore and different challenges. My son and I liked being able to play as either Spongebob, Patrick or Sandy. As you advance the game gets harder but you also get more items to deal with the increased difficulty. Some strategy is required in the mini-games and switching characters in different places is essential. The characters talk to you (Squidward, Mr. Krabs, Plankton) but not to annoyance. Some of the character comments are pretty funny and just like the show. I have completed 101% and my son has completed 62% on his version (a little hard for smaller kids). Probably best suited for a semi-serious gamer or a teen. My son is nine and is stuck up Squidward's Nose.

Fun but difficult

In a nutshell: great platformer similar to Jak and Daxter or Ratchet and Clank. But lagging in eye candy, richness, and playability. It's worth buying if you're a diehard platformer fan, a SB fan or have younger children who like the show.

It's a very true translation of the show. All the sets and characters in the show were also in the game. Kudos there.

My four year has mastered all the character moves, the 3d environment, and some of the boss levels. So the game begins relatively easy. But the difficulty ramps up very quickly. By the latter levels, Spongebob et al needs to find their way through mobius like mazes, difficult multi-step rewards, and a whole lotta nothing. Progress became very frustrating and tedious around the 70% mark.

The game misses it's target audience a bit with difficulty. A bit rough around the edges, especially on playability. I'd give it a 5 if it had a bit more refinement along the lines of Jak and Daxter.

i rented this game in anticipation of purchasing it for christmas. I have three boys: 4, 10 and 13, and a big boy (my husband). My 4 y/o LOVES this game. I love to watch my son play this game, as does my husband, and also the 10 and 13 like to watch; however, my 10 and 13 y/o don't really seem to get into playing it much, and my 13 y/o is a real "gamer". So it is my OPINION that younger kids will like this game, but not older ones. Also, i think the graphics are not as good as i would have expected; it sort of looks like the old playstation games graphics to me (I rented it on the XBox system).

excellent gameplay, lots of laughs, highly recommended

Surprisingly good gameplay for a cartoon based character, and extremely funny (true to classic Spongebob humor)... lots to explore and solve, pretty challenging even for adults, overall a delightful PS2 game. I was surprised to find it is a very well developed game (no glitches that I could find), controls work smoothly and gameplay flows seamlessly. Awesome fun! Definitely worth buying, and an absolute must-have for any Spongebob Squarepants fan! I just wish the game was longer!

Deep into Bikini Bottom, an evil sea critter named Plankton is
in his quest to get the Krabbby Patty (everyone's favorite undersea snack) formula, and, since he's so small, uses robots
to get him what he wants...the formula. When he clones the robots, though, he doesen't realize he left the cloning machine
on "DON'T OBEY" until they do what they were designed to do. And
they will soon wreak havoc over Bikini Bottom. The same night,
SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star play their favorite game,
"Seahorses And Space Robots." They're tired of playing with regular robots and want some real ones. Patrick's idea is to put
one of them into a "magic wishing shell" so they can play with
their real robots by the next day. SpongeBob leaves it at his
house, goes to sleep later, and wakes up to find that his new
"friends" have painted on his wall "YOUR BIKINI BOTTOM STINKS."
SpongeBob believes that it is his fault, but (hopefully) he will
stop Plankton's plot once and for all. With the help of good friends Patrick Star and Sandy Cheeks, it's up to him to fix what has gone wrong. Navigate through tons of three-dimensional
worlds and collect shiny objects and golden spatulas and get into the Chum Bucket and teach Planton a lesson about cloning
robots. The robots are your biggest enemy, but watch out for dares from Plankton or you may never get to where you're going.
I have not finished playing this game yet, but it is loads of fun and perfectly difficult. Worth the money all the way!
