N64 idea of tetris sure is much better than this one, it's a good start for those who want to hate Tetris

I love Tetris....any version, so I was very excited when I heard about this one coming out. At first I was a bit surprised that it didn't seem as advanced in the graphics as previous games, but once you start playing it's awesome!!! You quickly become addicted to it and can't stop. It has several different games, some of which are very challenging which makes it even better. I like the fusion tetris the best. You should definitely get this one, you won't be disappointed if you give it a chance.

I was very excited to finally get my tetris in the mail... "Don't count your chickens before they hatch" as they say though. There was nothing really exciting about the game. It was overall bland (no good tunes like previous versions, and boring animations). My biggest beef with the game is with the multiplayer. On N64 my favorite part of the game was playing multiplayer with my wife (especially since it is the only time she will actually play a video game). The problem is that you need a magnifying to see your game boards. Neither of us could even see what we were doing. BAD MULTIPLAYER AND BLAND.

After all of that waiting on extended release dates, I was very disappointed to see the finished product...: the graphics are lame and the game modes are boring.

I would only order this game if you are desperate for a new tetris fix for your PS2. Otherwise, skip it.

What is there not to like about this game?

The fact that it is Tetris should have everyone on there feet ready to buy this game. I have every Teteris game that has ever come out, pc and nintendo and all. Let me tell you, I have yet to be disapointed. With the opening price a real deal for a real puzzle game. If I were you, pre-order this. I have and can not wait for it to come out.

I am a 30-something female that is absolutely addicted to this PS2 game. It's always a race to see who gets to the PS2 first, my kids or me!

I have been dying to get this game since I heard it was coming out last year. It keeps getting delayed and I'm wondering what the problem is. It did not get a very good review...because there are some quirks with the game that make it less challenging (according to the reviewer). I love Tetris because it's challenging and you can play it for a long time and not get bored. I really wanted to get this one because I was tired of the sound and graphics of my original PS version, but I'm not sure I want to spend [the money] if it's too easy. I might just stick to my old version and wait for the price to go [down].

I haven't played it yet but I know I'm going to buy it. HELLO PEOPLE, THIS IS TETRIS! The most classic, addictive game of all time, not to mention, the best selling game of all time. Over 70+ tetris games have been made on nearly dozens of systems, and yet it continues to sell. With more modes than before, PS2 graphics, and a low tag of only 30 smackers, this should be another Tetris Classic. The guy who wrote the review not to buy this game is obviously dumb.

I am a 40+ female and truly a Tetris Addict. This is a nice variation of Tetris for PS2. The only problem I have is that it takes forever to get to the next level.

I used to play tetris on the PC all the time, even with 2 player mode side by side.

This adaptation of the game on PS2 is quite disappointing. First, the menu options are extremely confusing. Did they not have $ to hire an usability engineer? The graphics makes you dizzy when you play the game.

If you like tetris, I would recommend something like the Bust-a-Move franchise or Puyo-Puyo on the Mac.
