Excellent game

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 2 / 2

Everyday I try to convience my dad to take me to his work where he has a XBOX that his friends bought. My favorite game in the XBOX is CEL DAMAGE because it's easy and you can ave a lot of players. When I play it I feel like I am in the car battling. My favorite environment to play in is Swamp Stomp because I like it when the aligators try to catch my car.
The one option which I really recomend is flag rally. You need to get 4 flags and return to a circle, but this is a little hard because the flags can walk and they try to run away from you.
**************
My SECRET TRICK: The best way to win is to get a vacum cleaner and use it to get other people flags. When you have four flags head quickly to the finish circle.

Rent it.

For the first couple days, this seemed like the best game in the world. Once the initial thrill is gone, however, it just gets terribly monotonous. There are several game-play modes, but "battle" is the only one you'll ever play. (Yes it is, don't argue!) Seriously, straight racing you can do on ANY car game, this one's selling point is the characters' interaction with eachother. You'll be cracking up when you hear the one-liners being passed around...untill you notice they're the same 2 over and over, and then that little green "MUTE" word your TV puts in the corner gets irritating.

One thing I will defend on this game is the cartoon-cel graphics. People complain that the XBOX version could've been more realistic. It's SUPPOSED to be a cartoon, people!

Not Too Impressed

I played this game at a local funcoland and i must say i wasn't impressed...the cartoonish graphics were good...and there was nothing definably wrong with the game play.....however this game was simply not fun to play at all. The control system is very very awkward...making you reach around the already huge xbox controller...just not impressed...the humerous graphics save this game from getting a one star rating from me. Not a suggested game....go get Halo or Amped instead.

One Hyper Cartoon!

Cel Damage is like the Simpsons mixed in with a little bit of Looney Tunes! It's a cel-shaded, totally out-there, extremely humorous car combat game! Not many car combat games have been made since the Vigilante 8 series, but this is much, much, MUCH better! You can play as one of ten whacked-out 'toons in four unique worlds. The game would be better if it had a more clear storyline and more games then the three it gives you. All in all, this game is great and I would like to see a sequel. :)

It is also coming out for Nintendo Gamecube. Cel shaded Twisted Metal is the best way to describe it.

Not Twisted Metal

The graphics are great but the gameplay is terrible. Its just not fun. Unlocking different levels is mildly amusing, but once you are done with that there is little else. The multiplayer is much the same. If you want great multiplayer get halo.

Great game

I bought this game almost on a whim...I subscribe to the official X-BOX Magazine, and there was a demo of this on one of the discs. I played it, thought it was fun, and went out and bought it.
I enjoy mostly the fact that it's like "Looney Toons" meets "Twisted Metal" because you drive around "smacking" the other characters with everything from baseball bats to meat cleavers, and all the while taunting your opponents.
Definately one to try!

SuperFUN and FRANTIC action!!! (XBOX)

This game was one of the first games I purchased for my XBox, 8 months later, it is still one of my favorites. I can't get over the amazing graphics(cartoon, plastic or pencil art, they'll all fantastic). There's no slow down during game play and its concept is one that keeps me coming back for more. It could get old, but for some reason, it doesn't. I've never had as much fun with a cartoonish style game as I have with this one. Though it's very challenging, my kids love it, too. It's so much fun they can't put down the controller long enough to insert in a different game. They only win about 10% of the time but that doesn't seem to bother them. It's just 'VERY ADDICTIVE' to say the least. Now don't get me wrong, it's NOT impossible to win, it just takes patience and lots of ammo! I've been trying to think of something bad to say about this game, so I can keep this review objective, but I'm having a hard time doing so. I remember at first I hated how easy it was for me to get obliterated by the other toons, but 'LIFE COUNT' is not important and I soon got used to being part of the flying chunks of metal and smoke and now it doesn't even phase me at all. This game will never leave my collection! If you DO try this game, give it more than 5 minutes(I almost didn't because of it's frantic pace but my kids didn't want me to stop...thank goodness!), it could pass you by and I'd hate to see you miss out on some of the best and wildest 'frantic and blow'em up' cartoon action that any console system has to offer. This game had a lot of potential. Sadly it didn't deliver. It's pretty much a cross between Mario Kart 64 and Twisted Metal. With a "cartoony" kinda feel. I thought the arenas were way too small, and the game in general just wasn't "fun". Mario Kart is a great game.. even if a little too "nice". Twisted Metal fixed that.. Both held my attention & interest. This game does not. I played it for about 5 minutes (over 2 sessions), and promptly returned it.
Do yourself a favor and rent before you buy..
