I purchased this game for me and my children and we did not find it fun at all. We've enjoyed numerous platform games, but this one does not have much to offer. Monotonous and mundane...I would look elsewhere for an enjoyable video game...spongebob "battle" is HORRIBLE!

BORING

This game is a sad shell of an even worse tv show. All you do is play a Spongebob (what kind of name is that, anyway?) and friends to stop the "evil" plankton (who is 1/10 your size)from taking over Bikini Bottom. This includes you doing simple puzzles and figuring out useless plot elements. Overall, the game has bad gameplay, bad controls, PS2-ish graphics, and a horrible plot trying to connect with the tv show.

This game is dumb, don't waste your money get Sonic Heroes. On spongebob all you do is run around as a sponge named Spongebob( what kind of name is that anyway) anyway all you do is run around solving dumb elements and usless plots. Its just a stupid game copying off of a dumb show. This is a dumb game don't buy it if you do buy it for your little kids, it would make a bad present for a 12 year old. I mean a talking sponge what the heck!

A fair game...enough said

I really enjoy the show, and have since the VERY beginning, before all the Spongebob hype.
Anyways, I was given this game as a pure surprise for christmas, didn't expect it.
So after a couple hours of playing, I would have to say, the game is a bit monotonous, there just isn't enough dynamic and different content. It is very similar to a "Super Mario Bros" game but lacks nearly ALL the elements that made those games great... lots of different enemies for one, this one you just fight the SAME silly robots over, and over, and over.
But on the plus side, there are some neat elements, like bungie jumping, sliding down slides on Spongebobs tongue, etc.
What REALLY holds this game together is how true the developers stayed to the Spongebob title, his little quirks, runins with other Spongebob stars, and really being able to see Spongebobs house and neighborhood were a blast. If you love the show, you'll enjoy the game a lot.
This title is developed for Spongebob fans, other game players will definately enjoy different games in this genre a lot more.

Fun game for the little ones!

My 6 year old has had this game since Xmas and has had a hard time putting it down ever since. Of you course you probably have to like the show in order for you to enjoy the game, but overall, the game seems to be occupying a good portion of his time.

All of the familiar characters are there (except Mr. Krabbs' voice. I think it is different than the TV show), and your mission is to save Bikini Bottom from Plankton.

The initial controller setup takes a little getting used to, but once he did, that was all she wrote. He nows plays it for about 2 hours a day (or as long as I let him) and he is having a ball playing it.

The fact you can be 3 characters (Spongebob, Patrick and Sandy) definitely helps the playability.

Overall the graphics are good and the motion is smooth so you will have plenty of playback time with this game.

Great Game!!

This game is mezmerizing. It's easy enough for our 4 year old to play, and challenging enough for our 12 year old. It's great entertainment for the whole family!

OHHHHhH, who lives in a pineapple under the sea?

I wouldn't normally review a childrens game, but this is one of the best platformers ever! Now, I don't play too many games for kids, but I like Spongebob. He is always sooo happy. As proof that I don't play kids games, the latest game I've bought is Serious Sam, and I have been playing Halo for at least a year now.

The few things that hit me the wrong way were pretty serious. Firstly, Mermaid Man was not played by the same guy who does him usually and so was Mr. Krabs. That saddened me. Another thing was that it was just really easy up until I hit 50 or so golden spatulas. It was aggravating to me as a gamer, and probably all of the kids who bought this that it got so hard. You have to be anally punctual on every single jump, and I soon found myself cursing up a storm. For more cursing watch me play Mario Party....

I'm ready! I'm ready!

Not just for kids! The dialogue just cracked me up. I had a hard time putting this game down. Although I did get frustrated with it at times because I'm not that good of an Xbox player. But my 7 year old son and boyfriend were always willing to help me out.

I liked the fact that there were a TON of things to do. The game was crafted very well. The music tends to get to me after a while and I keep hearing Sandy saying "I can't believe I'm wearing Spongebob's underpants". LOL.

Spongebob is awesome. It is a really fun game that is actually fun for little kids to play while you're playing Halo on another TV. The game has a lot of eye candy, and funny sounds and attacks. I don't get the whole "get golden spatula" thing. There should have been better things to get. Also there should have been split screen multiplayer...because multiplayer spongebob always equals fun.

I purchased this game for my 5yr old niece. She likes it alot. But,I have to help her get around some of the more difficult obstacles, like jumping from platform to platform.I would say this is a difficult game for young children (and adults)but it's still alot of fun playing.Well,we only have 26 golden spatulas and need to find 14 more to got to Krusty Krabs so I better get back to the game.
