A few minor negatives, but an overall winner - one of the best

Bought this at a brick & mortar store for my wife. She loves slots, and I get bored easily at real casinos, so PC based slots are the perfect compromise.

What I liked about RDS Mystic Forest was the absolute control you have over the game. Contrary to another review, all aspects of the sound are controllable and completely variable as opposed to a simple on-off. It installs cleanly, runs on Vista, X64 and X86 systems, and the sound and graphics are in a word, spectacular. Game play is smooth, and in the offline mode, payouts are set to 180% so wins are frequent, but still exciting. There are a mere three keyboard shortcuts, but that's really all you need, Bet one, Bet Max, or repeat last play. There is even an MP3 player so you can replace the canned music with selections from your own MP3 library if you want. Personally, I like the music selections for each game, so I have no need for the MP3 player, but if you get bored, it's nice to have the option to change things up.

On the downside, this is yet another game that (in theory) requires the CD to be in the drive in order to play (at least is does in version 1.4) While that is incredibly annoying, there are a wealth of No CD mods available (Google is your friend) online and they work. What can't be changed is that it only runs in windowed mode, there is no full screen option that I've found. Another negative is that the online updates are dog slow, and seemingly take forever.

Still, all in all, we like it much better than the other game we purchased today, (Bally's Slots Dual Pack) or any of the other slots we've bought. It is infinitely better than the various online only slot options. This game cost twice what the other did, but for my money, it was a better deal, even with the minor annoyances. For my money, Phantom EFX offers the best and most realistic slot games out there, and they offer much better value than the cheaper competitors.

I play this game everyday (not online). The graphics are spectactular.
I would recommend this game for anyone.

This game will get you as close to the real thing as possible and not cost you a cent. If you're looking for affordable entertainment in the slot venue, this is the game for you.

I'm a novice at gaming on the computer so this was my first foray into a slots game and I'm glad I chose it! It is like the real thing and the graphics are great!

I really love to play this game. There is really nothing hard or too challenging with the Mystic Forest. It is a relaxing, fantasy escape! Lose yourself in the Mystic Forest! It's the next best thing to being at the casino.

I spend at least 10 hours a day on the REAL DEAL slots games on the ONLINE casino and all the games from PHANTOMEFX are the best that I have ever played. Each and every game they come out with are sooooooo much fun and challenging. The online setup has levels, your own suite, trials tournaments and much more. The time that I spend playing flies by so fast, many times I start playing at 5pm, and stay up to 4am. I say to myself, where did the time go? and also while driving from Naples to Miami each week which is an hour and 30 min drive, I am clicking away trying to make real world money on WILD APPLE, but don`t worry, my eyes are on the road!! which means I can`t stay away from this game. Even though I wasn't a big fan of these types of games, this one is quite engaging. Great games, music, color, it has it all for the slot machine players. I actually bought it based on someone else's review. Buy it, you won't be sorry.

and she loves it!!! it has many games with great graphics just as if your at the casino itself!!!she loves it and its much cheaper then the real thing. also easy to use for people that arnt really good at the whole computer thing.
