I got my copy of The Sims 2 Pets about two hours ago and I have already made about five familes with pets and so far I have not figured ot how to buy a hamster I dont know? I have noticed a lot of download stuff like the purple pug, bandit cat and Hillary Duff and Lola. I love this game so much I have all four expansions and two stuff expansions. I hope they come out with another soon!

the Sims have Pets, AGAIN!

Okay, this was the most anticipated ep for me as a longtime Simmer. I mean the details on the pets are AWESOME! I was quite impressed with the graphics and animations in this edition. I give EA and Maxis double thumbs up for this ep! When the original Sims came out with Pets I was so excited and thrilled. This time around is even better! The only complaint I really have is you are not able to control the pets. You can't tell them when to "make yellow" or whatever, which can be frustrating when you have a pet that needs to eat and will not. I gave this game 5stars and I think it deserves it! Happy Simming!

I purchased Sims 2 Pets Expansion Pack at the request of my children and they love it.

Pets for your Sims

That pretty much sums it up. "Pets" for the "Sims 2" is by far the best expansion pack for the series. It adds new levels of play that far and exceed "Nightlife" or the "College/University" expansion packs (although those are very good to). I think you'll find you might have more fun with the Pets (especially the Puppys and Kittens) than the actual Sims themselves. So order it, install it, and then forget about your job and family for a while as you explore the many fun things you can do with your very realistic "Pets"!!

Not what I really expected however.....

as we all know maxis and EA are just making newer versions of the sims one expansion packs for the sims 2. if anyone didnt hear about the 2 new expansions coming up, hollywood (superstar) and bon voyage (vacation that sortve proves it. as far as pets goes it wasnt as bad as everyone said it was. the pets idea as always is inovative but i find 2 out of 5 times the pets end up getting in the way. for one you cant control the pets like in sims 1 which just ruins the purpose of the game. the idea of a blue dog was pretty cool though :) the item add ons are terrible i expected so much more. its a neat expansion but it was rushed and its sloppy. theres also alot of breeds missing pet wise.

the ups.

playing fetch with my blue beagle.

having animals like parrots.

the downs.

bad items

too few breeds

pathing issues.

I love the sims but Pets I thought would be more fun if you got to control the pets yourself. Overall it is pretty good but would of been better if you could have them do more stuff.

good deal

i waited for about two weeks for this item to arrive in the mail. that was very frustrating. it wasn't as fun as i would have hoped but i enjoy playing. paying 30$ is too much. i waited for a good deal and it was a good choice!

i still haven't figured some things out. but... you can't blame me. i just got it yesterday afternoon. i think it's bogus that you can't control you pets. i guess it makes it kind of a challenge which is good. i thought that it sucks that there are no new outfits for your sims though. atleast there is some new furniture. (though it's mostly for pets.)

and... the "litters of puppies consists of 2. that was disappointing. ) i was expecting, like, 6.( i'm not sure about cats. i haven't tried yet. i have an australian shepard and i was really surprised to find that they didn't have any. that definately bummed me out. creating custom pets is fun though. one thing that is pretty cool is that you can make a family of just pets. you have to move them in with an already existing family in order to play them though.

over all i thought it was definately worth buying. i suggest it. some advise: wait for a sale! that's what i did and i'm very happy with what i ended up with!

and for those who don't know already, there is a new expansion coming february 27- sims 2: seasons! i'm very excited about that. to find out more just search sims 2: seasons. that's what i did and it's just waiting in my cart! very exciting stuff!

I got Pets hoping to add a few pets to my families, but the game sort of takes over the Sims 2 with animals everywhere. It also slows down the game a lot. Overall, I'd say get this is you really want to concentrate on animal breeding and the like, but if you just wanted a pet, maybe just forgo an animal companion for your sims and get another expansion pack.

I love this game its so much fun and this expansion pack is lots of fun. The detail you can put into the pets is amazing. The only problem I have with it is I noticed the miss named the breeds they have a few of the mixed up but it's a very very little problem that you can easily ignore and get through.

This game will keep my interest for hours on end! You can create pets, have them employed, love and play with them, mate and have puppies/kittens. Very cute. Just an all over great expansion pack for Sims 2.
