This was a waste of time and money

I bought this game not knowing that there were so many problems getting it to run. I have found online that a number of people have had problems with it. I never did get my computer to run the game so it appears I have wasted my money. It would be nice if there was a warning that there are so many glitches with this game and apparently other games by the same company. I am very disappointed.

Great for laptops

I think people are missing the point of this game. If you are looking for the sims 2 then go buy the sims 2 and expansion packs. I bought this game because the sims 2 won't work on my laptop. This game works great! Yes, it is a really basic version of the sims, but thats what I needed. It does not slow down my laptop at all, and I can play whenever I like, not just on my pc.

For those wondering: This game is only 1 cd, not 4 like the regular sims 2. That should tell you right there how much less space it takes up on your laptop. I still have plenty of space to save my papers and notes for classes, and even install more games (I LOVE Zoo Tycoon as well).

The stories may be short or whatever, but I think people are completely misunderstanding what the creators were aiming for. Eventually I think these games will have expansion packs, and I am excited they have already launched a new website with a few downloads. In the future I am hoping for an exchange just like the regular sims 2 website has.

This is a very fun game. I really enjoy playing this game. The EA crew has outdone themselves again. If you like to play the Sims, I would suggest that you purchase this game.

Well, I knew this game would be a bit structured. Meaning, don't expect free reign in this game like in regular Sims games. I liked that idea until I began to play it. I hate that the controls seem so much more difficult than almost any other game that I have played. It is a pain to move around in game, so much so that I have to quit playing because I get so irritated. If they would work on the control aspect of the game, it would improve this game quite a bit.

I completely agree with Sherry Berry's review - everything about it is accurate. I really enjoyed the goal mode, but it's so short! If you play this game and enjoy the goal mode, go get The Sims: Bustin' Out or The Sims 2 for a console! I have The Sims 2 for the Gamecube and it has a goal mode. Not as... story based as Life Stories, but a LOT more to do. Here's hoping the island castaway one is more fun!

I've enjoyed playing this game. Would have been cool if the life story of Riley had you play until her sim reached old age. The life story ends when she gets married and then lets play on free will. Overall, a fun game to play.

I'm glad I got this game free because it's just an okay game. I was looking forward to playing it because there are goals, but it feels like it's so planned out. All the game really does is tell you what to do. I gave two stars for fun because the other sims in the game have things to say and it adds something to it...But I feel so restricted in the Riley and Vincent stories. I know there is a 'Free Play' neighborhood, but there are less objects because there are no expansion packs for it (yet, anyway). I like Sims2 Seasons so much better.

I had never played a sims game prior to this one and I found it incredibly fun and addicting. However like another review states you can't reset the game to zero with out moving or deleting the file. All in all it is great. I don't necessarily like controlling 2 or more at a time gets to confusing and hard to keep all happy. I think when you get married you should only controll yourself and take care of everyone else like you did to have a love or so. All in all good though.

Intertaining and perfect for laptop. From comparing the item with other computer games I have to say price is a bit too high for the item. 30$ ... that's the price I would suggest for it.
But it was very interesting to see what would be the end to each story that the game provided.
I enjoyed the game.
