A good purchase

This game is pretty good. The levels vary a lot, with different choices for each. Yout must get the Lemmings to their little base. The reason i gave this a four instead of a five was that the game gets a little boring and, eventually, repetitive after a while. Even still, it's a good buy.

Must have!

Well, what can I say. This has got to be one of the best games ever. What? You've never heard of it. Lemmings? Well the point of the game is to help get the cute little lemmings to their desination. There are problems though. There are walls blocking them from getting through. The Lemmings have to work togather to get down to where they need. They each learn diffrent skills and things like that. It is very fun. If you have 20 bucks, buy this or the new one Lemmings revolution. Great Game.

I must say, this game gives me the creepy realization that I can be evil. Lemmings is an awesome game. I haven't played it in five years, but I've been thinking about it lately, and I can't wait to get my hands on it again.

The animation is incredible. The little guys are sooo cute and look very realistic, so it's almost sad when you make them blow up!!! I've never been able to finish the game because I'm not that smart at figuring out the Mayhem levels. But when I get stuck, I tend to either start over, or play my favorite levels and let the Lemmings "explore."

My favorite levels are the ones with crystals (like Luvly Jubly), and the tree level (A Beast of a level)...by far the best one. The music is perfect. I used to go to this level and leave it be so I could just hear the music doing other things.

The variations of Lemmings that came after are both creative and just really neat to look at. For walk-throughs and screenshots of every Lemmings game, visit this cool site: http://home.wanadoo.nl/lemmings-solution/

As a special education teacher, I highly recommend this game. It encourages logic and other higher order thinking skills in students. AND it is a blast to play! With several difficulty levels and bunches of games in each level, this game will keep anyone occupied for hours. We love LEMMINGS!

What else should I say besides that Lemmings is the funnest game in the universe? I'm 8 and am at about level 42. The point of the game is to make them dig, bash, build, float and mine to a little house. Two Lemmings games, the original Lemmings game and "Oh No, More Lemmings". Several difficulty levels. Once you start playing you can't stop! BUY IT NOW, OR ELSE!

My one regret when I upgraded to a Pentium 4 computer was giving up my old 386SX and my all-time favorite game, the original version of Lemmings. Fortunately, this CD-Rom of Lemmings from Dice Computer Games is now giving me endless hours of enjoyment trying to save my old suicidal friends. The original Lemmings is far superior to all the later reincarnations, and there is no better computer game ever! As a bonus, the disk even includes the second game, Oh No! More Lemmings.

Excelent Game, Excelent Seller :)

This game is awesome, I may be almost all the way through college, but this is still a great game to play.

Buyerworld is a very cool seller, they got the game to me even before I was supposed to by their default date.

Oh and by the way, for all ya computer savy people who just want to know, the game works on Windows XP, even though it is not listed in the system requirements.

So what are you waiting for, get out there and buy this way cool game dude :)

Oh you poor helpless Lemmings...

This is the kind of game that will drive you insane. You'll be up for days trying to figure out how to get past an obstacle without killing off most of the Lemmings, how to not go over the time limit, and learning all the different tricks to saving some of them. But you'll love doing it. Lemmings remains one of my favorite games to play even after 13 years. I remember how easy I thought it was going through all of the "Fun" levels, only to get my ass handed to me on "Taxing". And don't even get me started on the first time I tried the first level of "Mayhem".

This is what you do: get the Lemmings past obstacles and to their home at the end of each level. Using the following skills: climber, floater, bomber, blocker, basher, miner, digger, and builder, you have to get past the obstacles and use strategy getting them there. Oh it sounds easy, and it is...for the first 15 or so levels. Then, hidden obstacles get you. Things like bear traps, hangman ropes, meat grinders, lava, water, jackhammers and more will pummel the crap out of you. And for each stage, you're given a percentage of how many Lemmings have to survive in order to get to the next level. Get this: sometimes the drop hatch (this is what the Lemmings pop out of at the start of each stage) is too high above the ground, and right when the level starts, the Lemmings splat instantly. How are you going to save them? Try letting some of them float, have a blocker turn them around so they don't keep walking to the right, and have one build stairs so they have a little higher ground to not die on. You're going to be doing things like this throughout the whole game, but it's fun.

Oh, the Lemmings have a self-destruct feature. If you're stuck in a level and don't want to wait for time to run out, hit that nuke icon and watch the countdown begin. After 5 seconds, all the Lemmings panic and explode in a rain of confetti.

And the music is just flat-out cool. Most of the tracks are well-known dittys ("She'll Be Comin' 'Round The Mountain" "How Much Is That Doggy In The Window", etc.) and there are some original ones in here as well. The most memorable of which is [I think] original, and is known to me and many others simply as:

Bow-bow-bowbow-bowbow bow-bow-bowbowbowbowbow bow-bow-bow-bowbow-bow-bowwwwww...

Once you hear that for the first time, it'll get stuck in your head for the rest of your life.

Get Lemmings if you want something new in your game library. There isn't a single other game I can think of that compares to this. Well, maybe Sheep, but even then...I don't think they have a self-destruct feature.

One of the best computer games ever made!

I've had Lemmings for a few years now, and it was the first computer game I ever had and even after playing it for about 6 years, it hasn't gotten old or boring at all. You have to save a bunch of little Lemmings from getting killed by guiding them to the open door which will take them to the next level. But it's easier said than done. You have to use a number of different kinds of powerups including digging, umbrellas, building stairs, making a Lemming stand guard and not let the others through, and many other powerups in order to guide them to the exit. However, there are many ways that the Lemmings can get killed other than by falling down too far and going splat. They can get killed by many other obstacles such as fire and falling through the bottom of the level. There are also ways you can make the Lemmings fall from the beginning of the level faster and slower, and even a way to make them all self-destruct if you already know you can't pass the level and you need to retry. In each level, you have to rescue a certain number of Lemmings to pass to the next level, then it will give you a password you can write down so you can go to that level anytime afterwards. The levels start out easy, and get harder and harder as you make your way through the game.

If you have Windows 95, I definitely recommend getting Lemmings more than any other computer game out there. Lemmings will grow on you and you'll like it better and better the more you play it. And best of all, it's one of the few games that will never get old.
