I don't know if it's the sloppy controls, the lack of instruction, or the stupid trivia between loads, but this game makes me very angry.

Zelda's fishing mini game is better than this.

i bought this game after playing the fishing section of the Wii Play game. needless to say, the Wii Play version was much better! this game was very confusing for me, since there wasn't good instructions on how to play the game (except basic controls as to how to cast and move the boat) i was expecting an awesome fishing game, but ended up with a game i have only played once. what a waste of money! if you are looking for a Wii fishing game, buy Wii Play and you can get some other fun games with it! even though the Wii Play fishing game isnt very challenging it is still better than this game!!!

It's a good thing I have Gamefly because if I bought this game I would be soooo upset. I liked fishing on Wii Play and I going to rent Zelda and try it there but this game totally sucks!!! The graphics are horrible and the controls are worse. You dont know what to push when you get the net on the screen. I caught five fish but because I couldn't get the controls for the net...I failed at catching them. If you catch a fish....how come it sort of disappears from the screen if you keep it???

Nintendo should have more hardcore games for the Wii. This doesn't even live up to casual gamers standard....
Shame on who ever made this game!!!!

Pretty good game, some "teaching" about Repala products that seem more angled toward selling their products. Beautiful landscapes.

This game sort of blows. The lures don't act as they would in the water and they could have done a little more with the animation of the fish swallowing the lure. Glitchy controls and the fishing caddy tells you what bait to use and where to fish if you listen to him. I'd rent it if you are really into "real" fishing. Other than that it is pretty much a comercial for Rapala products.

I bought this game for the Nintendo Wii and played it once and never touched it since. I have no idea how to use the controls. I'm about to reel in a fish and then some weird bullseye screen pops up. Nowhere in the instructions does it explain what I'm supposed to do at that screen. Don't waste your money on this game.

Both of my kids, 11 & 4 years old really enjoy this game, and my husband thinks it's just alright (he's a fisherman). The other guy in your boat is SO annoying, you will want to turn him off in the options toot-sweet. At first he's kind of funny, telling you to reel it in slow while the fish is already in your hand, but it gets old reaaaaaal quick. My husband and I laughed that he's like the know-it-all friend that does nothing but drink all your beer and tell you what you're doing wrong while you are the only one fishing and driving the boat. ;)

The little code thing to use the net is just plain stupid. Graphics are AWFUL.

Bottom line: wait till it's in the bargain bin & maybe your kids will like it.
