This is a great game for any flight or combat sim fan. the sound and graphics are very realistic! Also the way you control your plane is realistic too. You get to chose whether you're on the allied or axis forces and in one mode you can pick your aircraft. This is a great game and I recommend it!

I havent even ordered it yet, but the other review by Boyde Kepner is my uncle. I can assure you that we are both flight simulator experts and he would know.. He said he would give me the deed to his house on the golf course if it wasnt the best simulator Iv'e ever seen.

Go buy "European Air War" by Microprose. If you value substance over style, the superficial and boring "WW2 Fighters" will NOT keep you interested.

Among the very best fighter simulations - equalled, perhaps, but not surpassed for quality of graphics, flight dynamics, and
over-all realism. However, not for the beginner: the "easy" flight mode in this game is more difficult than the "difficult" mode of less-demanding flight simulations. This edition includes the essential keyboard reference card but does not include the original manual so important to novices (the manual can still be bought separately by applying to the publisher directly).

simply the best!

this game would keep old 40 year old gamers addicted if they gave it a chance. this game will go above and beyond all those other "superior" games. with only one world to go to it has only one flaw, but the world has deer to shoot on the ground, two kilometers of 3d ground, and lots of buildings. you can choose from at least six planes to fly, and a mission builder. plus, if you don't want to have to go through all that title screen crap, there is a fly now button that takes you right to the game. i would have paid (several bucks) and waited two weeks, but i didn't have to. the main point is BUY THIS GAME!!!

Best Ever!

This is my favorite game out there. Super and totaly cool graphics, the best crashes I've ever seen and you get to go deer hunting!! (Buy the game and land on a sheet of ice you'll see what i mean) Shootin at deers with bullets this size is fun!! but, Crashes are awsome. Real life situations happen. Canopy gets stuck, flaps jam, rotors bent, gear ripped off. When your guy ejects from a broken plane on the ground, that can't take off, he gets up and starts looking like he's cussing and making bad signals to the sky!!!. Whatever you do, Buy This Game.

The BEST WWII Flight Sim ever!

This WWII flight sim is by far the best out there! The graphics are very realistic. The planes are very accurate and flying the P-51s against the German ME's (rocket powered planes) is about as good as it gets. Hard to learn without a manual, but you should rely on the pdf's foudn within the installed software. PRINT THEM OUT! Great, great flight sim. It's consuming up a lot of my time these days!!

Maybe the WWII flight sim you've been looking for

Wondering what WWII flight sim to get for your P2? Haven't gotten the horsepower to Run "Stormavik"? Give "Jane's WWII Fighters" a try. In WW2F, you can fly for Allied air forces or the ominous Luftwaffe during the latter days of the war - specifically the frozen forests of central Europe during the "Battle of the Bulge". Flyable aircraft include the usual suspects - Mustangs and Thunderbolts against Me-109's and Focke-Wolfes. The mission structure isn't entirely dynamic - with missions designed along a flowing outline that doesn't allow you to exactly change the course of history, but will spare you the indignity of flying the same mission twice. Unlike its Microsoft competition, JWW2F won't let you add on aircraft form anywhere, so you've got to make the most of what the program has. But that's nothing to laugh at - the planes are realized pretty well for a survey sim, with the -47's and Mustangs exteriors realized down to the last rivet, and the flight panels containing a working suite of instruments. The flight model also seems much more convincing than the cartoonish flight models of the earlier Jane's Fighters series, and the visual model shows some painful looking damage for those who get caught. I think it was a marketing goof to use a name which hints at a relationship between this game and say USNF '97. The terrain is much better at low altitudes than MS-CFS, and the scenery and aircraft are almost enough to convince me I was freezing up in an airplane during the winter of 1944-45. If you haven't bought a WWII game since Microprose's "1942: Pacific Air War" or haven't the horsepower to run "Stormavik" or the forthcoming "Jane's Attack Squadron", this may be the WWII flight sim for you. I ran this game on my P4 with no WinXP compatibility problems.
