Come for the gameplay, stay for the music

Basically, this is a game that has no real ending. You defeat the last "boss" and can continue playing indefinately. Which could turn monotonous after a while if not for one thing... the music. The music, coupled with the designs for the dragons, keeps me coming back, long after the gameplay becomes tiresome. I would love for there to be a soundtrack to this game, but alas, there is none that I am aware of. Its a good addition to a game library, but not for everyone.

Gamestop Is not good with reviews. Trust me. I know.

Dragon Seeds is an incredible game. You would probably not guess
that it was made in 1999. Gamestop sucks, by the way. Don't take
crap from them. If you want a trustworthy review, go to IGN. Dragon Seeds is an incredible RPG based game. It mixes in skill,
luck, movement, and ingenuity. There are so many of attacks and
other things to choose from, it will make your head spin. One new
thing bravely came out of Dragon Seeds, and that is the concept of age. 1 day for a human is 1year for a Dragon. So instead of your Dragon leveling up, you age it. There are also plenty of
types to choose from, and the name of your dragon decides their attributes. There are crustacean, fairy, phantom, flying, and beetle dragons, and you choose their long-range attacks between
fire, ice\water, and lightening\thunder. One dragon phantom type
I once trained turned into an adult form cabinet, and one of my
fairies never overaged or died. It just stopped aging at 21yrs. old. Overall, Dragon Seeds has way more elements than I just described, and more is discovered as you meet other dragons and
go other places. Only one downside: the characters are not very interactive, but what do you expect? 1999, people, just remember. And in case you don't know, gamestop is comparing a
2001 game to one from 1999. Now do you see why they're terrible
at reviews? Well, that just about wraps it up. Get the game. Don't ask questions, just get it.

Dragon Seeds : Not just luck.

1st off ... the game is not based on luck, It takes skill to win... once you learn the way the AI thinks then you can start to plan your attacks better. Its not random attack motions. There are 3 places on the field you can have your dragon Far,Normal and Close. Far you can attack with a special attack or block/reflect attack. Normal same as Far. Close you can use melee block/reflect and special. The point of the diffrent ranges are if your dragon has a weakness IE: Low strength high special. You can use the field to your advantage depending on the type of dragon your fighting. 2nd Off, the game requires more logic into making your dragon. There are unlockable things items/dragons to add more fun to it. Some dragons can become immortal .. so they don't die quickly.. 3rd they evoled which added a whole new coolness to it.. not unique in the area of that but rather in the way you make your monster. Lots of items to use/pick/buy for your dragon. Multiple stages of arena fights. You can wagger money on fights outside of the arena with your dragon. Only draw back to dragon seeds is that you never leave the city.. multipe arena/towns/village would have been better. Like more adventure... I give the game 5/5 stars because it is unique and worth owning. There is a multiplayer where you can pit your dragons and the friends of dragons aginst one another and you can win items from one another .. ect.. The game has more to it then what seems at first. Worth buying to have in your collection.

I just love this game. Its not Pokemon, its not Monster Rancher, and its not Digimon. This game is pure stratedgy not luck. I love the fact that you can raise dragons to battle and watched them evolve and with available dragons on PS save data, you can have more and more dragons (16 actually). My point is... I got no point!!! Play the damn game!!!!

Ack!

First off I'm 14 not 12 years of age. And this game is ok. The music is kick...and that's the only reason I still play it. Everything gets rather monotonus after you won the game. And instead of fighting in a strategic manner it's a combination of luck and rock-paper-scissors. Monster Rancher is much better and you actually fell attached to your creature in that game.

This game is cool but I won to quickly

Dragon seeds is an awsome game. I really like it, but it was quite easy to figure out how to get the dragons levels up fast and win (and I wont tell you so you can figure it out for yourself). The graphics were good for the time the game was made. It seems to be a good storey(I like how the junk man and the shop owner are fighting all the time), and I will enjoy playing it for a long time.

This game rules!

Those idiots who wrote that long, boring review under-rated this game! It's really fun. You dragon isn't an actual dragon (fire breathing winged reptile). It's fun to see how your dragon turns out when it's older. My cousin raised his dragon hard, and he got this three headed monstrosity! I raised my dragon, and got this winged rat. Your dragon only lives 30 days, but if you can get it to the Super level it never dies of old age. Although I wish your dragon couldn't die in battle, that would be way better... But it's fun, and it's hilarious if your playing with ther people watching when your dragon evolves. Anyway, this game is a definate MUST BUY!

I'm not much on words but i'll tell you every thing i know. Dragon Seeds is the best game i have ever played on playstation . Some reasons are that there is a cloning lab you can well duh, clone dragons. When your cloning you have to make DNA strands out of sentences and they determen the dragon that you get.

Also the battles are fun and easy to control (but still tough to win)like all you have are maby 8-10 differant buttons to use.

Some other things you can do are buy weapons and shelds for your dragons so they are more fierce than they were but some are very hard to get.

well thats all I can tell you about Dragon Seeds hope you like it if you get it.
