This game rocked the house!!! Even though it was extremely hard, it was excellent! I also thought the way they acted out the speaking was pretty bad the graphics and the amount of gore was some of the best I've seen in a Playstation game! Another thing is that you get really awsome guns like a shotgun or the colt python. The cool thing about this game is that it comes in 3 different modes: Beginner, Original, and Advanced. This game made me pee in my pant more than any other game! I say that if you want a game that will make you never want to shut your bedroom door at night, THEN GET THIS GAME!!!!!!

A B-Movie Great!

This is the O.G. cheeseball zombie horror flick.. and you are right in the middle of it all. You have to figure out what happened, what to do next, where to go next, what's going to happen. Although I said it was cheesy, the monsters and weapons are NO laughing matter.

The gameplay and controls are logical and not a hinderance. Thoroughly enjoyable game. Although the story does tie a bit into RE2, each game completes itself, so you don't have to play this one to know what's going on in the sequel. I would recommend playing this one & then the second one.

Great Game

This was a great game. It is gory like the second one but is more fun because you only have one way of beating it which is very challenging.

one of the greatest and funnest games i've ever played

this game has almost everything a gamer wants: great graphics, an engrossing storyline(although it dind't reveal itself until the end of the game), and fun. the best part is the zombies head being blown to bits by a shotgun. it was also pretty hard for me, as the zombies and hunters are very troublesome and numerous. the bosses weren't that hard, not even the final boss. but all in all, it was a great game with 2 characters to play and its share of secrets. this is a must-have for all horror fans, or for just all people in general.

A Great Game, thats a lot of fun...

Resident Evil Director's Cut is a great game. It's not all violence and gore.(though there is some) It's got a pretty good story-line and a solid cast. And one of the best things about the game is that the puzzles in the game are educational and stimulating. A relistic yet not relistic game. A real mystery game, because somebody's the "Bad Guy" but I won't give away who. Even the ending was a surprise but I won't give it away. A masterpiece of a game that will defently go on my shelf.

O.K.

The second release of the original horror game, you are put back in control of Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine, which are stuck in a mansion full of man eating monsters. Is this really supposed to be a directors cut? Well it ain't, the extra blood and gore is nowhere to be found. Not much has changed, except the music. What was once a spine tiggling beats are now things that make the game less scarier. Dual Shock? Not really a big deal. Sure there are tremors, but it doesn't really spice up the game. Directors Cut is still good, but only worth getting if you don't already own the original. R.E. veterans, stick to a rental.

Better to play RE1 before RE2

I bought RE2 before RE1DC, and not suprisingly, RE1 was a bit disappointing. It is a great game and I enjoy playing it, but once one is accustomed to playing RE2, RE1 seems a little "lame". Kind of like driving a Lexus around for a while, then changing to a Corrolla. Still a nice car, but not quite the same.

Don't get me wrong, I HIGHLY recommend the game, but if you're just getting into the RE series, buy and play them in order.
