The graphics and gameplay are very out dated. The movies at the end are stupid and only the first eight players have them. The only reason I even got this game is because I loved Tekken 2,3,Tag, and 4. The only reason I don't sell this is I want to have all the tekkens, but if you want to buy it, don't pay more than $2 for it.

Yeah, it rocks quite good

I think, that Tekken is a very good game. The fighters are pretty good (King, Kazuya and Paul). Also the graphik is well done. It`s also very funny, that the fighters are fighting in Venezia, in St. Marco. I`m from Venicce and I love that game.

This is how it all began. In the beginning, there were only about 17 characters in all, and 8 to start with. Some charactors look sooooo much younger, like Paul and Heihaci. They don't have too many charactors that are in the modern games.

Pros:
*First game in successful series.
*Launched one of (if not the) best fighting game series since the Mortal Kombat series.

Cons:
*Very outdated graphics (duh).
*Limited charactors.

If you LOVE the series, you need to buy, or at least play, this awesome game.

THIS GAME WAS GREAT. THOUGH IT DOESN'T COMPARE TO ITS ORIGINAL ARCADE MACHINE, THIS HOME VERSION IS NICE ANYWAY. THE FIGHTS ARE ALL FUN, THE GRAPHICS STILL LOOK FANTASTIC EVEN THOUGH THIS GAME IS NEARLY A DECADE OLD NOW, AND THE CHARACTERS ARE ALL GOOD AND THE STORYLINES ARE ALL INTERESTING. TO UNLOCK THE BOSSES [WHICH IS THE MAIN THING], YOU HAVE TO BEAT THEM ALL WITH THEIR ALREADY AVAILABLE COUNTERPARTS. THE FIRST TIME YOU BEAT HEIHACHI [WHICH IS THE MAIN BOSS FOR THIS GAME], YOU GET HIM UNLOCKED. BUT THE REST OF THEM, YOU HAVE TO PLAY AS THE COUNTERPARTS TO GET THEIR BOSSES. EVEN WITH THE PLAYSTATION 2 AND X BOX AND STATE OF THE ART SYSTEMS LIKE THAT ON THE MARKET, MANY OF THE GAMES THEY PUT OUT TODAY CAN'T COMPARE TO CLASSIC GAMES LIKE THIS! THIS IS ONE OF THE ALL-TIME GREATEST FIGHTING GAMES EVER AND I DARE SAY THIS MIGHT BE THE BEST OF THE TEKKEN SERIES. EVEN HAS GREAT MUSIC.

CLASSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, first thing's first. I've been playing Tekken since day one. I was one of those guy's stuck in the arcade almost 12 hours daily playing nothing but head to head fighters. The typical person will look back on this game and say "Ugh, horrible graphics. Christ, the fighting system is terrible!" But not I. I understand that this game emerged at a time when fighting games were, for the most part, 2D; and the games that weren't 2D (Virtua Fighter) weren't much to "wow" about. But when a fighting game enthusiast digs deep into this game, he/she will find one's self indulged in an overlooked deep fighting system. This game featured counter attacks, combination throws, hidden characters, and some of the coolest throw attacks ever featured in ANY fighting game at the time. The storyline had alot more depth than Virtua Fighter did. I mean, I'd own this game just cause it's a collector's item. This here is the game that REALLY started it all. Forget what they say about "Virtua Fighter came first". This game came only months after and yet it offered features that the SEGA AM2 studios wouldn't conceive until years later. Get those few bucks you have laying around and purchse this game!

i love tekken

This tekken game is definetley a"A go home and do it again".I know this game is old, but it really needs work.I have talked really well of the other tekken games,in my opinion this game is terrible. The graphics are ok, the fighting isnt that good.I guese this game isnt so bad,but i would not recomend it.Other tekken games are all really awsome I would definetley try tekken4,tekken3,and tekkentag. All in all tthis game is ok,if you have a chance to get this game, dont buy it for over fifteen dollars.note:this game is pretty rare,(at least in the city i live in).If your that into tekken, keep it for a rare collectors piece. So il'l see you later, bye.
