Dissapointment if you are expecting Mario vs. Donkey Kong I GamePlay!

3 Rating: 3, Useful: 3 / 9

I was really into the first MvsDK game! I preorded this but was disappointed when I started playing. It's annoying to use the stylus... and where's Mario? You just have the little wind up guys to push around... and they're not even cute like they were in the first game. A disappointment all around. I quickly sold it. I love Nintendo games but like Metroid for the DS it's too much to hold the DS in one had and push the stylus around while squinting into the screen. I like progress in gameplay and commend Nintendo for being creative but it's just annoying. Why can't I just play with the control pad while I'm laying down? I love to lie on the couch and play the DS but the way the control system is set up it's impossible. I would almost say this game sucked because the first one was so fun. Why mess up the formula?

I give it 4 in each category because it was a fun and addicting game, but it had some downfalls for me personally.

It is very strategic, the problem with this is once you have played for awhile, there is no diversity in the way you play it; there is only diversity in the backgrounds and in the items that are useable.

Other than the fact that it really should be a "mini" game for a regular, more lengthy mario game, it was fun and addicting to play.

This is a very funny version of Mario. It makes you develop strategies and speed to finish every world.
Is funny. I like it

Nintendo really knows how to make games better. It was simple, fun and accessible to all ages. Worth trying.

This is what DS is for...

Mario, DK, stylus action... Which adds up to a nearly-casual game for all. Move the Marios (yes plural) so that they can reach the doors in every level. Beware of the obstacles on the way. When a whole Mario world is finished (8 in total), you unlock a mini game. Again, when you finish a world you face the mighty Donkey Kong in a boss game. Beat him and you are onto the next game.

Fun to play, a little bit of easy to beat, but hey, this is either for -18 or +30. Good game...

This was the first game I got for my Nintendo DS. I have to say it is a lot like Lemmings as you have to get all the mini Marios to follow you to complete the level. I think that the music, color, and overall game play is awesome! I purchased the DS over the PSP just so I could play Mario games. Mario is my overall favorite video game character. I did give this game a 4 rating because I did complete the game with all gold stars in less than a week. I perfer video games to last longer than that. Otherwise I think it is a must for your DS game collection.

This game is fun. Gets harder and harder. You can do levels over to get all the mini Marios and cards. Beating Donkey Kong at the end of each level has been very easy so far. I am on level 4.

I've been playing it without my DS pen so it's been more like a torture.

Mini-Marios on the Loose

If you enjoy "puzzle" type games, then this is the game you really need for your DS!

Players guide their mini-Marios through increasingly difficult mazes to reach the end of the level. Each of the 8 levels has 10 sub-levels, with a boss at the end. There are also mini-games you have to complete at the end of each level to advance.

For kids who enjoy puzzle games, this is a great investment! The graphics and colors are great, and the increasing difficulty will keep them challenged. There are also codes you can get to "win" a mini-Donkey Kong, a mini-Peach, and a mini-Toadstool.

Great fun for all. Both my 10-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter enjoy this game, especially where you can create your own "stage" for the characters to play in!
