Great but it could be better

I am gonna make this short and as accurete as possable.
Before I say anything this game is purly driven from the game pad and keys there is very little use of the bottom screen wich was a + for me but it may not be for you.
Graphics 10/10-as ussal capcom puts out amazeing graphics I have no issues here
Also you can play as a girl or boy(wich does effect gameplay the girl is faster and does less damage)
Gameplay 9/10 unlike earlier megaman z games this time you do not play as zero you play as a human with zeros powers as well as the powers of some of the other bosses from earlier games.
There is also a few mini games that are intresting
But it does get repetive quickly
storyline 6/10 the storyline was weak at best and left alot of questions it felt kinda weird not like the earlier megaman z games.
replay value 8/10 alot of replay value a hard mode but the lack of mods the part system in megaman z4 is really kinda disapointing

Overall 9/10 I belive it to be a great game wich on easy mode is easy but on hard mode it is quite insane wich give it alot of playabilty for all age and skill groups.
I am really looking forward to the next megaman zx game I belive it will be quite epic

I bought this game for my grandkids.....they love it. They love all the Mega Man games.

Fast paced fun... while it lasts...

This game is pretty well rounded, has a lot of challenge but is also toned down in difficulty if needed for those who are more casal players. If you are a fan of the Megaman series or of Zero, then this game is a must for oyu. overall, the story line is kind of "bleh," though you do get two stroylines to go with each according character. Most of the weight of the game lies in the presentation and the level designed. Although for veterans the level design will feel rather blad and dull, for non-vet players they will be challenging and fun to go through. Overall a very solid experience but definitely not perfect. some level design improvements could be added and some changes to the weapon mechanisms as well. Great buy for the price.

this game is a spin-off of the zero series and it has better sprites, graphics, better forms, and a great story which make it a formidable rival to other games.

You will not stop playing this game until you beat it but it is very hard if its on normal mode fortunately it has a easy mode for beginners.you will enjoy this game it has amazing music,graphics,characters, everything is good.

In my book, the best megaman game so far.

Im an old megaman fan, back when all the villan robots were themed and had names to match. Cutman, Woodman, Bubbleman, and so on. This game doesnt have x or zero in their traditional roles but it works so well. The zero series was fun, getting old after 2 and it almost looked like capcom was giving up on this great style of game. Enter MegamanZX a great "pick me up" for the series, something fresh, yet not kiddy, something new, but well done. The visuals kick you in the crotch as a good 2d game should. Interesting new ways of playing such as finding and usuing new themed suits and a more "freeroam" feel. Great stuff. Hats off to Capcom and the DS.

Definitely Not For Younger Audiences

It is geared more towards hardcore/older audiences not because of offensive material, but because of it's difficulty. Older Mega Man games were fun for everyone regardless of what kind of gamer you were, but these are directed towards 1)those who love Megaman, 2) are hardcore gamers (that is, those who are dedicated towards their games and gameplay), and 3) those who can take a beating and return for more. This game in normal mode won't necessarily tear your hair out, but it's hard mode will make you bald quickly. I myself LOVED hard mode; it's like a shout-out to how hard Nintendo games were. So, if you are sick of playing easy games, this will definitely satiate your thirst. I definitely cannot give it a 5 because it's not as accessible to all ages (even to the older ages), so I give it an average score.

this game is awesome!!! ive liked megaman since i was [...] and i still like it now. and this is the best one yet. very replayable and fun. the idea of diffrent forms is originial. even if you dont like megaman you might like this game!

I like this game alot. Not the best Mega Man game, but pretty good. There was a bit of talking at the begining that was annoying. But, I hope they keep making Mega Man games.

When I frist heard about this game,I got the ds just for this and thier we're ups and downs
the downs:
It takes a while to get to where your going
The bosses were a little too easy
Not enough megaman,just mega men

the good:
Great sound
good gameplay
Impressive storyline
lots of missions

Overall this was good ,but I don't recommend it for younger gamers

I tried to like this game...but it really does suck

I have always been a huge Mega Man fan. I've played and beaten the original Mega Man 1-8, and have also played and beaten Mega Man X1-8. The other side games like Mega Man soccer, the gameboy games, etc, I have not played but I decided to finally try Mega Man ZX for DS thinking it would be great. Let me tell you it definitely is not.

First, the graphics are pretty lowsy at best. In fact, these are Super Nintendo graphics for goodness sakes and for a DS game I expect more. I just got done playing Mario 64 which looks to be an exact port from the N64. Then to play this trashy looking game is depressing.

Second, the game play seems promising but it isn't. All you do is run around over the same areas over and over and over and over and over doing minute mindless tasks. Why the hell can they not stick with the same chemistry that has worked for 20 years?! I bought this game expecting the classic Mega Man game and it is far from that.

Finally, the game is extremely kiddy. So, kitty that I actually can't stand it. When you complete a task you get a...teddy bear? WTF is that all about? What was great about the X-series was it was a little more grown up.

Avoid this game seriously. Hopefully Nintendo will come out with a X-Collection pack for DS so I can enjoy the classics.
