GOOD GAME BUT MISSES A FEW COMPONENTS

We picked this up last night hoping to lay in bed and play boggle to our hearts were content via the one card wireless option. Out of the 4 games, you can only play Battleship and Boggle wirelessly with one card. Boggle will only play for one round and then you have to shut down the 2nd DS completely, power back up and redownload the software if you want to play again. Even when playing in "hot seat" mode with multiple players on one DS, it does not play until a point total. It only plays one round.

The other 3 games all play very nicely and provides much entertainment. However if you are thinking of only picking up one cart for 2 DS's, you might want to think again!

There's a reason it's out of print.....

This is a decent game, though I can't believe people are trying to sell this for the amount they are. Let's list the good point... notice, singular, not plural.
1) It's got Monopoly, Boggle, battleship, and Yahtzee....

Now for the bad:
1) No save feature
2) limited gameplay without two copies of the game for multiplayer
3) Boggle is missing so many words that it's overly frustrating to play
4) Monopoly is near impossible to play due to the lack of a save feature
5) It's out of print, so the real price of $20 which nearly makes it worth getting is gone.

Bottom line is, don't waste your money and spend over the original $20 that this game cost. It's simply not worth the time or money to get a decent $20 title. Wait till either another printing of the game, or a better version is released.

Hope this helps some of you who think this must be the greatest game out there.

I was so looking forward to this set of games and was excited to get it. But after 3 days, I am ready to throw it in the trash. There are so many bugs in it that it is totally ridiculous! I especially notice it in Yahtzee. You touch one dice on the screen, and something else on the other side reacts, or else you get 2 or 3 reacting instead of just one. Or you touch something at the bottom for scoring and something totally different fills in! Then it doesn't credit you with the bonus when you get multiple Yahtzees. The other games aren't quite as bad, but things are screwed up in them as well. For most of them, I can't even get in without having to touch the screen several times to get it to react, and then it's only right 2/3 of the time.

I can't even get any support on Atari's site because the game isn't on there yet. I'm left with calling a toll number, which I haven't done yet. Hopefully something can be done.

What you would expect, but has flaws

This aptly if not creatively titled game is what you would epxect. It gives you the chance to play these four games on the go. Two of the games benefit from the DS's extra touch screen--Boggle and Battleship. Overall, I've enjoyed playing these games, but I find the single player challange of Battleship and Yahtzee to be really shallow. And the two games I play the most--Monopoly and Boggle have issues. Monopoly plays great when it works, but it freezes up a lot. I've learned to save frequently. Boggle doesn't freeze, but its internal dictionary has been overly censored. There are many words that I do not consider vulgar that are not counted as words. I would still recommoned this collection if you want to play these games on the go, but I wouldn't pay full price for the collection. You can find this game used for $10 less.

Monopoly DS, fun!

I really enjoyed playing Monopoly on this title. Monopoly has an interesting ticker at the top of the DS screen which displays game stats. Sound was ok, not annoying after four games. The game has a very fast save feature and load time, for Monopoly.

I exploited this feature to cheat, by saving first. Then roll the dice and see what happens, if you do not like the outcome, simply exit the game. The main menu will load in a second, then click Monopoly and load game. You will return to where you were in less than 3 seconds total time!

These games could be fun, but the cartridge is riddled with bugs. For instance, as you race to select letters in Boggle, about one in five of your stylus taps will be mis-registered, screwing up the word. You have to slow down, which misses the entire point of the game. This is the only DS game I've played that has any trouble telling where you've tapped.

There are similar interface, gameplay, and AI glitches in all four games.

Don't bother with this one -- your money is better spent elsewhere.

i have to say...i am disappointed. i found bugs galore in the boggle game. if i click on one letter it thinks i am clicking on a different one. it is really frustrating...yahtzee worked fine for me but overall the 4 games are not that great.

Bad AI, but still fun to play.

It does have all four games together, which is really nice. I could play each for hours. The Yahtzee AI isn't that bad, and I love the different games you can play in Boggle (my favorite is the seek game, where it gives you a list and you have to find the words...talk about expanding your vocabulary!) It is missing a lot of words, as another reviewer mentioned; I tried getting something like "sat" once and it claimed it didn't exist.

The monopoly AI is ridiculously obnoxious, though. It's as if they didn't even program it to understand the point of the game. If I've got all the greens, for instance, another player might try to trade me $100 for one of my greens. Or worse, if they've got all but one green and I've got the last one, they might try to trade me $100 for the last one! Like I'm an idiot. But they'll make those kinds of trades with each other, so if you're playing against 4 AI, it's really like you're playing against a team of three, because if any one of them gets any combination of monopolies, they will trade until the colors are together. But if YOU want to buy a property from them, forget $100. You'd better be prepared to shell out several properties and several thousand dollars to get anything. So it's kind of obnoxious, but still fun.

Basic Games on an electronic system

I bought this used ($19) because I LOVE Monopoly (have 3 electronic versions & 7 board games). To me the other games were just extras. I haven't had any of the problems of the other reviewers.

Monopoly: I love it!!The game saves quickly. The game pieces are somewhat animated with sound effects (horse gallops, car vrooms & toots, shoe hops & scuffs, etc). Gameplay is good. I wish there was an easier way to see what everyone else has...but, I just click on "trade" and I have it all there...then have to hit B to leave without trading.

Boggle: many words are not in the dictionary. It can get frustrating when the game doesn't pick up a letter you chose, or it chooses the one next to it instead.

Battleship: I like it. You can choose from a number of graphics (classic, viking, underwater, etc) for your ships. I wish I'd win more often.

Yahtzee: It looks like Deluxe Yahtzee. Sometimes it can be difficult to choose just one dice. Overall, it's fun.

For me, the biggest disappointment was that you can't play between 2 systems with one card (only Boggle - single game, & Battleship - single game).

We are considering a 2nd game when it comes up used...but after reading the reviews today, I'll have to research what we can play between the two systems first.

Monopoly is Okay The others or "B" side games

This game set is extremely overpriced at $69... Monopoly is fun but not particularly challenging. I can not seem to lose. The AI players make stupid trades with Me and also with each other. They can not look ahead. When they do get a monopoly, it takes them too long to develop the property so it is rarely a threat to your game. I find this unchallenging. The programmers need to make the AI players more capricious.

For example, I can always buy any railroad (no matter how many I already own) for under $320.00 Owning all four railroads with three other AI players really pays off.

I have also found a programming glitch. There have been many games where debts of my AI players have be "paid" by selling off MY houses. I may have hotels on the Virgina group and on of the AI has 2 houses on the Pennsylvania group. They are close to the end of funds and it lands on one of my hotels. Suddenly the AI's player is NOT bankrupt, the AI player's houses remain in tact, but my hotels disapear and go to a few houses.

This alone is rather frustrating. I assume that the programmers know about this but who knows?
