Classic Metroid!!!

This is one of my favorite games!

It takes you in as you take the role of Samus Aran to destroy the Mother Brain and destroy the Metroids. The glitches can make it better or worse (secret worlds best, freeze worse).

The only problem I have is that after I got it (after months of searching), it kept popping up in pawn shops and used video game stores!

One of the greatest NES games

I have had this game since before i was born, well at least my brother has. anyway, this game is so cool, you play as bounty hunter Samus Aran and you have to defeat 3 bosses, but it is kind of hard, i still play it, and i can't beat it! i use the code and get to the end, but its just really chalenging, but you will not like this games if your one of those people who can't realize that the game they are playing [is not good] because of the rich graphics, well what i'm trying to say is that some games no-one would give them a chance if it werent for the awesome graphics, but i like games with and without good graphics, thats what everyone should do.

This is one of the games you play when you want to be entertained on a innocent junior high old school level. Grab some juice and chips and lets play. This game is lots easier and fun with the code. justin bailey. Under each letter of the name make sure you put these ------ ------.

Although the first in a popular series, this isn't the best and is incomparable to Super Metroid. Granted the game is big, which means there is lots of exploring, there is one set of closely related problems that make Metroid less than steller, all related to attacking: Samus curls (or does nothing if you don't have the ball) when you press down so she cannot duck and shoot, disabling her from attacking small anemies on the ground until she has the ball-bomb or wave beam much later in the game. Additionally, Samus cannot shoot diagnally in any direction and she cannot shoot downwards. In my review of Super Mario 64, I said that one shouldn't only complain about what a game does NOT have; however, these features would be practically essential to the game.
Buy only if you are a hardcore Metroid fan or you really want to play the game that started it all. Otherwise, look somewhere else.

Metroid

Metroid is one of the best adventure games out there. Its almost impossible to explore everything it is so big. There are also alot of great powerups and items to find and use. This game is a landmark. I think that it is the best and most original adventure game ever to come out second to The Legend of Zelda. Super Metroid is much more refined (which is why most people prefer it), but I prefer this game because I remember how amazing it was when it first came out. Super Metroid is just more of the same.

A 2D masterpiece.

I remember being bored of Super Mario Bros. because it was too juvenile and decided to pick up Metroid. The game went down in history as one of the only original NES games where you could save your progress(the other 2 that I know with a password option are Kid Icarus and The Legend Of Zelda). The graphics look really fuzzy by today's standards but back then they were jawdropping. The music was also a great highlight and the challenges and maze like platform structures added an extra sense of depth. One of the fondest childhood memories Ive had was playing this game.

This is one of the best video games of all times! Whether you are searching for new bonus items (to further protect you from evil forces) or battling monsters, it will keep you on your toes looking for more secret passageways and tunnels leading to new worlds to explore. It is definitely a must have for video game lovers everywhere!

My favorite on the old Nintendo. Maybe it won't compare to new fancy games, but for the basic Nintendo games, this rules. Building power, exploring cool areas of a planet, beating up big bosses and facing the legendary Metroid creatures. This game is five-star for Nintendo

100% pure classic!

This game is one of the most eerie games I have ever played to this day. The thought of exploring an unknown alien world completely alone. As I have done in previous reviews of games I will once again turn to the MUSIC in this game. Sure it was 8bit MIDI [junk], but it added very much to the games creepiness. Also this game was very challenging and had such a HUGE world of mazes and tunnels to explore. I can still sit down and play this game and find new rooms. I would recommend this game to ANYONE who wants to know what true gaming is all about.

Another necessary NES classic game

Metroid rocked! There's really nothing else to say than that because Metroid was that good. It was a constant challenge, made you think strategy and of course definately made you work for it. Like all of the early NES games, it was about strategy rather, slaughter, kill kill and demolish everything and that's why I love games like Metroid and Castlevania and Kid Icarus.

If you don;'t have Metroid get it now because I hear that Metrod Gamecube is coming out soon and you don't want to be left behind.
