i really enjoyed this game. once i started playing i didn't want to put it down. there are only 4 real cases and they are pretty simple to figure out. i wish there were more cases in addition the extras. i finished the game pretty quick still wanting more. it's a good game but it would have been better if there had just been more.

Cute Comic Book Mystery

This is overall a cute game. The characters are funny. It makes excellent use of the DS stylus and is easy to play. It is a completely linear mystery game, meaning you cannot do steps in any other order. There is only one outcome, so you can't screw up. This is nice in the way that its more like reading a comic book mystery, but sometimes not so fun if you can't figure out what the heck to do next. There were some steps in the game that seemed completely bizarre, and I really would not have figured out what they wanted me to do without reading an online game faq. Or you had to talk to people in a very specific order, which made it difficult to figure out what I hadn't done yet. Overall, I enjoyed it.

Great Game For Ladies

I got this game because I love playing role playing mystery game. The graphic & charaters are cute and very easy to get the hang of it w/o reading the instruction. I love the stories and I actually finished solving (w/o seeking help online) all the cases after 1-2 weeks of playing.
The only that I will complain is that the game is too short. No fun to play/resolve the mysteries again.

Very fun; but disappointingly short.

I played this game all the way through in a relatively short amount of time.

Its fun; and the graphics are adorable; and the characters are highly amusing. Kids would like it, but I think only adults could fully appreciate it.

On the downside; it is disappointingly short, with no replay value to speak of.

Get it if you don't mind the fact that you'll probably never play it again after you finish it.

Touch Detective: Cute & Fun

The first thing I'm going to say about this game is it's charming and cute. The second thing I'll say is it delivered far less than the potential it had. And the third? It still delivered enough for it to be an excellent game.

So, in Touch Detective you're a cute little detective walking around looking for clues on cases. The cases are always given to you by Penelope, whom is a bizarre peer that likes bananas.

Yup, the game is very weird, but also entertaining. Realism? None, nothings realistic really, almost all fantasy. So if you're a Phoenix Wright fan looking for a nice case to solve put this game down.

Basically it's a simple point and clic---, touch if I may, game. You talk to people, receive information, and occasionally find an item on the ground to use. It can be frustrating as others have said, as sometimes for the story to progress you have to talk to the perfectly right character who basically says the same thing they said 2 minutes ago. So you do need patient and the willpower to walk to many different places trying to push on the story.

One complaint I didn't notice until 3/4th the way through is that the items really aren't used enough. The 2nd "Quest" you have a load of items, the 3rd and 4th you don't really at all. The items were the fun part, not talking to people 20 times until you figured out who you missed.

Difficulty wise the game seemingly gets much easier the further you get. The final quest was basically purely talking, with no items. But there was charm in the game.

From rescuing a fairy, to your friend being kidnapped, to a lost banana, if you like bizarre this game will for sure win you over. But be prepared to search around a lot.

Final rating is a 75%. I wouldnt buy it for more than $15. Though I did complete the game fully, and all the mini-objectives.

As for after the main quest, there are quite a few little mini-quests to do, though none are really hard and probably harder to trigger than complete. And being Atlus, I did expect the game to be more.

Still good though!

fun but....

This game is fun yes, but some of the puzzles really do not make much sense.

Don't know what all of the rave was about

I played the game. It wasn't great, in fact it was fairly simplistic and not challenging. I found the plot kind of dull and irritating. I am not sure why it is rated for adults either. A child of 8 or older could easily handle this game. Just not impressed.

This game has a really high challenge, but it's not a very interesting difficulty, unfortunately. I feel that too much thought was put into the storyline, which isn't even that good. At least, I could never get into it. Maybe someone with a better appreciation for stories would be more interested in the game. Me, I think I'll pass. It's really not a game I was looking forward to, anyway.

It doesn't last too long

I wish I bought this used. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, but it's way too easy to beat. And what the heck is up with that box upstairs that you can't open and that one girl that just won't talk to you in the condo?! I only got jammed up once in the whole game. In all, it took me only 3 days to finish and that's only playing after work.
Maybe it would be good for a really young age group.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Even though the reviews were mixed for this game, I went ahead and bought it. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY! It was cute for maybe all of three seconds, then it just got to be completely annoying! There's a pattern that's supposed to be followed and if you cannot figure out the pattern, the game goes nowhere... and that's where I'm stuck with this game -- NOWHERE! Better games allow you to check things out at random but this isn't one of those games. Very frustrating... I completely gave up on the game (approximately 3 days after I bought it), and it is neatly tucked into a drawer somewhere gathering dust. Hmmm, maybe I'll eBay this...
