nice game

i love the DF series and this one is the best.
you can play this game for weeks.
the best part is that you can kill terrorist when they are a dot on the screen.there are lots of cool guns and it is cool that you can pick your soldier.the problem with all DF games is that the terrorists are too dumb:
you can be very close to them and they wont see you.
this is a great game and you should buy it.

Should I Buy it?

This is a very obvious attempt to put some trash onto the shelves and pick up a few bucks. The graphics are not very impressive; most of the details end up just being billboards. The AI is pathetic. It requires no skill to walk through each mission. The different characters have little impact on game play. For example: The SEAL, having a specialty in the medicinal field, is quite capable of picking off the enemy, standing, with an OICW at about 500m. The only silver lining is that I have not seen it crash and Novalogic provides an update utility. Basically, this is trash.

If you want something similar, but better:
Return to Castle Wolfenstein
Ghost Recon, and mission packs
Operation: Flashpoint
Soldier of Fortune II (some reservations).
Medal of Honor (some reservations).

If you are just looking for a game:
Dungeon Siege (This was deceptively fun)
Warcraft III
Jedi Knight II

Or some on the Horizon that look good:
The Thing
Hitman 2
Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness

incredibly stupid enemies, poor graphics

Worst enemy AI I've seen in several years. They just... sit there.
No flanking manouvers, no counterattacks, no nothing. They just
sit there. You can kill someone, and the guy right next to him
won't notice.

On top of that, the graphics are about three years out of date,
and the level design consists of dozens of identical, empty buildings.

Skip this one.

A definite improvement over Land Warrior

I had jumped ship to Castle Wolfenstein in order to avoid becoming sniper fodder in the Land Warrior games. The maps were too large and too open, inviting irritating, lazy snipers. Even though there are still snipers in Task Force Dagger, they are kept at bay somewhat by the new maps, which have more cover, thereby shortening the quite sizeable field. Believe it or not, the new weapons were a HUGE improvement to me. While Novalogic has done little or nothing to prevent cheating, at least with some cover we have a fighting chance now. Thanks

I found it a little disapointing. They should have had operation anaconda. And also a lot more team members. I found it boring without team members. The multiplayer was somewhat fun. I would have given it a 2 if it wasn't for the multi player. I give the multiplayer 4 out of five.

Based on the War in Afghanistan

Task Force Dagger takes the Delta Force franchise to the war in Afghanistan in this latest episode. Developed by Zombie, the makers of SPEC OPS and Rainbow Six: Covert Ops - Task Force Dagger is based on the Noval;ogic Land Warrior engine. The graphics are getting dated compared to the very latest shooter, but this is a solid game that will run well on older computers. A lot of fun, the multiplayer is still the best on the net in this genre. Don't be put off by the hardcore fanboys reviews (and their [$$$] PCs they have to justify by snubbing this game). If you love military shooters, you'll love this game.

Let Down

The anticipation of Task Force Dagger was quite high after playing Land Warrior mulitple times. Unfortunatley within minutes of my first mission I felt as though something was either wrong with me or the game. Why were the hostiles "Sitting Ducks" Where was the combat? Why did every barrack and building apprear to be the same as the last? Where was the dramatic music? Where was the need of urgency in the voices of my team? Where was my team? It wasn't me. It was the game.

Task Force Dagger ROCKS!

I have never played the original three in the Delta Force series. One of the factors that has caused me to buy this game is the NovaLogic name, and again they did not let me down! The enjoyment of sniping the enemy out of their guard towers is a lot of fun. The first couple of missions are darn easy, but they difficulty increases as you go along. Some of the best stuff about this game are your choice of weapons (except for the PSG-1) and your choice of characters. I am waiting in anticipation for Delta Force - Black Hawk Down to be released. I have just dowloaded the single player demo. That game should rock.

One of the best games I've ever played

This is one of the best computer games I have ever played. The graphics are awsome, you need to get this game, if single play missions aren't enough try the multiplayer, there is capture the flag, deathmatch, team deathmatch, king of the hill, team king of the hill, and Search and destroy so if you like to blow things up I suggest you play search and destroy. There are 25 exciting missions from saving a downed chinnook helocopter crew to flushing out terroist of caves and stop them from crossing the border to takeing over the Kandahar Air field and blowing up beacons, you can also destroy "weapons of mass destruction." I highly suggest this game. The coolest mission is where you can be a sniper from a blackhawk helocopter and providing cover fire for your teamates. If you buy any game get this one, it is cheap and a great buy, better than eliet forces:navy seals.
