It's ok.

When I first started playing this, I was having fun. But as the game goes on, it almost gets confusing because you have to keep switching characters and doing this and that with them. Some of the characters outright SUCK and are very difficult to control while others are enjoyable. Overall I would say that it's an okay game to play. Wouldn't pay full price though.

This game might seem like its target audience is little kids, but believe me this game can be enjoyed by any age. Very enjoyable, pick it up!

I think kameo is a wonderful game, it has good graphics, at least to my opinion. Its fun to get awards when having highscores. There are so many ways to kill trolls wich makes it alot of fun. I think kameo should add more exploration, so we could explore more lands during her quest.

Kameo is fun from start to finish, which is actually the only problem with the game...it's too short. You can find this title at a better price from different sites, but it is worth $20. Powerful graphics and terrific gameplay make this a must have, especially for the younger audience. Kameo will go down as one of the best premiere titles for the 360.

"For The Young Or The Young At Heart"

"Kameo:Elements Of Power" was released as lauch game at the time the XBOX 360 was released and seemed really like a game for kids more than anything with its cute and colourfull graphics also the storyline is much of a kid legend.Actually its a pretty good games for kids as it doesn`t have any bad language and you actually fight trolls! But its still a game that grown ups can enjoy too even if it was more intended towards a younger audience, its actually really hard to beleve this game was rated "T" for Teens.

You play as Kameo a fairy in her journey to save her world and her elemental ancestors from the Dark Troll king who threatens the world.I found that the main character of the game being a female is a major change as in most video games your character is a male and just for that some girls are instantly attracted to the game, and its not hard to beleve as playing as a fairy is very appealing to most girls,as for guys...anyway its a nice change of situation and its different.

What is really interresting is the ability that Kameo has to transform into creatures such as Chilla a kind of Yeti with the ice powers or Pummel Weed(not what you think!!) a plant creature with boxing gloves(that is actually one of the coolest characers you will get to play as).As you start the game you have three creatures that you can morph into but you loose them a while after the beggening and must regain them along with all the others there are.

Kameo takes some strategy as sometimes just to get past some place you need to morph into a creature, jump, and while in the air transform into another creature and press a specific button to stick on the while and climb. Its really a kind of an adventure game with a bit of puzzle thrown in,and it works well togheter.

The graphics even tought they may seem kiddie are excellent troughout most of the game, unless you want something with more realism they should please you.At times they are stunning and some boss characters are very well detailed. The controls are pretty comfortable and good actually and are simple and easy to remember even if sometimes they will need to be executed quickly to perform a certain move such as climbing walls as mentionned above.A complaint i have is controlling the character of Deep Blue ain`t easy...especially since its against a boss.

Multiplayer is not really that good and worth playing to say the truth as there ain`t enough mutliplayer content on this game.If they ever do a sequel they should add more multiplayer elements in the games ans multiplayer specific modes,it would a must.

Unfortunatly once you have beaten the game there isn`t anything else you can do except beat it over and over again, wich is very disapointing.Had there a battle mode where you are both kameo(with different colors)and where you could pick three creatures from all the ones you captured already to fight,or something else it would have been better, but its just the main adventure and nothing else wich is disapointing...

In conclusion if you are looking for a video game for your childrens or a family game, this is a wise choice as the graphics, characters and the story told in the game is likely to interrest them.As for more mature gamers tought it wasn`t specificaly designed for them they can still get some fun at it and maybe like it.It depends for person to person but its not a bad game really, its a game that deserves at least a rental but a must own for kids or girls who can find the idea of the game very charming(its probably more fun for them to play as a fairy instead of a hot girl...).3 stars.

Fun game but two times it breaks on me.

This game is fun, but I don't know what the heck, this game faults and goes multi-colored screen on me 1/4 a way through it. It has happened to me twice now with two separate discs that have never been touched. This is the only game that does this on my 360.

Must-have Xbox 360 game. And it's Classic!!

This is the game I got when I bought my 360 (almost two years ago), and was worth my money.
If you love the beautiful and epic classic adventures with charismatic characters and lots fo enemies and "temples" (you know, Zelda type), this is the prefect option. What I'm trying to say is that well, maybe this isn't a very mature game (I'm an adult and I enjoyed it so much, but maybe this is a handicap for some), but you will experience things that other games can't make you feel. It's one of the best games I've ever had , and of course one of my Xbox 360 favorites.

The Soundtrack is one of the bests I've ever heard, and the voice cast is perfect, also. It's a very long game, comparing to other six-hour-campaign-long ones avaliable, very funny and addictive, and (for me) perfect gameplay. Lots of transformations and powers await you, and also big battles.
And that is the best thing of the game: Only four or five moments in the whole title, but dudes. Literally HUNDREDS of foes are shown in the screen simultaneously, and without any type of lagging. Talking about the proportions of the game, the graphics are truly next-gen. Enormous environments, hundreds of enemies and allies showing in the screen as well as magic, explosions... that kind of things. And waaaay better than, say, N3. Water and fire effects are amazing, even after Gears and Halo 3.

Another good thing: it's an Xbox Classic, so its prize at any shop is 29.99$. But here, the Amazon prize is 19$.

In conclusion, perfect present for kids, very suitable for adults. Just enjoy it. And, believe me, you will.

One of my favorites!

This is definitely one of my favorite games for Xbox360. Great graphics, great characters, expansive worlds, and easy to pick up and play. After playing Gears of War, Rainbow Six: Vegas, etc. etc., what I would really like to see is a Kameo sequel! How about a sequel Rare?! I love this game!

Too Much Fun

I almost hate to admit this, but I had an absolute blast playing this game. I picked it up because it was $20 and I knew it was one of the more popular and better reviewed launch games. I actually had very low expectations for this game. At $20, I could throw it in the trash if I didn't like it. I now wish I had bought this game the day I bought my system, which was the first day it was available at my local store.

My initial fear about this game was that the cartoon nature of it would take something away. I like the hard edge on games like Gears of War or Saints Row. Not a problem at all. The game play to me was so much fun that I didn't even notice it.

Here is what I liked.

The game forces you to use your different skill sets in different areas, but often times allows you to uses multiple strategies to get through and area. One of your elemental forms may be better at destroying a specific enemy, but it is rarely the only choice that you have. This gives the game some replay value.

The concept of using different forms to gain different skills makes using your attacks so much more intuitive than button mashing games. As a "mature" gamer, I found this refreshing. Donkey Kong and Pacman didn't have five button combos to perform the moves. If you need a ranged attack, you switch to the form that has a ranged attack and pull the trigger.

The game also points out exactly where you need to go, so if you choose, you can simply complete the main quest very quickly or you can wander around a work the various side games and puzzles that have great entertainment value too.

The game isn't perfect. It is a little too easy, especially if you get the eye of regeneration. I think the only time I died after finding it is when I fell off a cliff or similar. I finally stopped using it because even the bosses were no problem when you had it equipped. While very useful, the help system was just a bit too eager and got annoying at times. Fortunately, you can turn it off. The shadow plain (or whatever similar name it had) where you get your elemental forms was very redundant. I wish there was better variety there. Finally, the Deep Blue elemental form was very annoying because of the camera angle when you were in shallow water bouncing in and out of the water.

Please don't let these relatively minor issues keep you from what can be a fun game for anyone in the family. It may be rated teen, but I don't recall anything in there that would prevent me from letting a 10 year old play and I'm 40 and had great time playing the game. Well worth $20.
