Frustration free installation and loading (i.e. free w/purchase)

Yeah, what a great game! I can see a new approach was taken by the developers. Lets' make a game that DOESN'T work! Listen, more than two and a half hours was spent getting the damn thing to install only to find that the game wouldn't even load. Yeah, even downloaded the V1.2 patch but to no avail. A consumer should NEVER have to hunt down solutions so painstakingly, and customize their computer's settings so specifically, to make up for a developer's SHODDY PROGRAMMING STANDARDS. If you've got some spare change, spare time and alot of spare patience;
use it on something else and flush this log down the toilet.

If I were faced with a choice of two fates:
1) Entering a dark, damp, torture chamber filled with bloody instruments of medieval misery and agonistic screams of pain.
Or
2) A pleasant, clean, looking room with mood lighting and soft jazz with a computer with this vile game in it...

I would choose the first. At least I'd know what to expect.

WHAT A DISAPPOINTING MESS.UNLIKE THE ORIGINAL, THIS GAME IS SO FRAGMENTED AND DISJOINTED STORY LINE AND INTERACTIONS SUCK !!!
I AM TEMPTED TO JUST CALMY WRAP IT UP AND PUT IT OUT TO PASTURE.EXCEPT FOR THE $50.00 I SPENT
GAME JUST PLAIN STINKS, I CAN'T BELIEVE THE HYPE. I HAD SUCH GREAT HOPES, THEY HAVE BEEN CORRUPTED. TOO BAD , GAME AND TITLE HAD SO MUCH PROMISE

STICK TO THE ORIGINAL, IT WAS A "GREAT GAME"

Here's the real conspiracy

I've played the demo and it was poor. Other reviewers have played the entire game and thought it was poor. Even the American messages boards are saying its poor.

Yet the games magazines still give it a score of 90+ precent!!

So here's my conspiracy theory: who's paying them to score it so high?

I'd spend time pondering that instead of playing this game - it would be time better spent.

Should still play on GeForce 4's...

I havn't played the actual game, only the demo.. game looks fantastic... but I get unplayable frame rates with a 2.4ghz p4, 512corsair xmx 3200 and a 4600.. unacceptable.. all my friends who have gf4's have same problem.. guess it's time to upgrade to a dx9 card :/

Take this bio-mod to the trash bin

This game is terrible in every way possible. The graphics actually take a step backward from the first Deus Ex. The RPG element that was so great in the first game was hacked into pieces for this game, making it nearly unplayable. The plot is perhaps one of the worst I have ever encountered. The maps are small, which means very little exploring.

Overall, this game is not worth the box it comes in. I am very disappointed that Eidos would slap together a game like this and unleash it on the public. Shame on you Eidos. We know you are capable of so much more!

Deus Ex Invisible War = Terrible = Buy Deus Ex Game of the Year Edition.

First was amazing and this looks it too

Reviews are popping up and saying this is great, perhaps not quite as revolutionary than the original, but the original was one of the best games ever made for the PC so its a bit hard to surpass it even if you make a truly great game.

Best game of 2003

Without a doubt the best game to play this year! It is in every way what the original was and in some ways more. No other game other than the first one gives you the feeling of having total control of the outcome. For a gamer that enjoys a game that makes you think, DX: Invisible War is a must have.

Horrible

This game was simply horrendous. Above all, i hated the level design. I played for about an hour and had to quit due to crappy level design. It was extremely dark and gloomy. I could never see any natural light in any levels. It was a huge disappointment and I am grateful that the game wasn't mine and I didn't have to buy it.

Looked great, but came in wanting........

I waited in eager anticipation for the release of DE:IW, but must admit to being sorely disappointed when I played it. Whilst the graphics are a noticible upgrade to the original the game play, characters, weapons, upgrades and biomods were nothing on the first Deus Ex.

After forking out a couple of hundred bucks for a new graphics card (that included a pixel shader!!!) this game became a very expensive lesson. A glossy package and a brillant original do not guarantee a good sequal.

WOW agh cant wait

incredibly long deus ex review
i dont get it, everyone hates the fuzzy look yet to me it makes it that much more authentic finishing off the edges of objects..
i havent played the game but the demo graphics were truly amazing, incredible, awesome and uber. If you cant afford the amazing comp you'l need to play it then dont bother buying it...duh..
this games stunning graphics coupled with the immense havok physics engine makes the game get as close to the real world as youl get at the moment, until halflife 2 anyway. I mean the ai created a sorta barricade of soldiers near a doorway i had to pass, i saw them assemble through the wall
just in case your wondering what im running it on, im using a
athlon xp 3000+
1024 ddr ram
256mb radeon 9800pro
maxtor hard drive 120gig
now i dont know what kinda computers you people have got, but dont diss the game PLEASE! you give it a bad name when the game deserves more than that. As i say ive only played the demo but i love this game its too bad its not out in england yet.....
what ive gone on is the demo play alone, so what the games gonna be like i cant imagine, the plot, the extra weapons, the supposed being able to meld your own choices, yet to be confirmed to me and the rest of course.

In conclusion, this game is so much better than any other game on the market !at the moment!. it'l quickly be put behind with the line of games that are coming soon that work on lower end pcs and are better in every way.

but if you own an amazing pc,, dont miss out

If you own a bad, weak, average pc its not for you wait for hl2!

agh damnit, i have to write essay's smaller than this at school why cant they all be this easy?!
