I really don't understand the negative reviews. Yeah, the graphics aren't updated that much, but they still look great. Most importantly, the gameplay is phenomenal. I have a lot of 360 games and this one is the first one I can't put down.

Brilliant Gem of a Game

The title says it all. This is a great soccer game again. This is easily the best soccer game on the market. It amazes how each year additions can be made to the games that actually would make you want to buy the game again aside from roster changes. Yet THis is one of those games that necessetates getting the game again. Aside from killer graphics (the best you will see in a soccer game), you now have the ability to do three different types of kicks when trying to score a goal. That is incredible!!!!! Bottom Line: Do you like soccer at all? Own this brilliant, fun game.

Great game.. with 1-2 issues

Winning Eleven is undoubtedly the only game that you can never ever get bored of. Its lasting appeal is incredible and I know a great number of people who have bought a video game system, just due to this game. ProEvo 2007 is another great product from Konami. I do agree with some of the reviewers that the graphics have not been updated as one expected over the XBOX version, but the gameplay seems to have become smoother and the movement of the players is extremely realistic.
This game is a must buy on any console.

Very fun to play with friends

You can have a lot of fun playing this game, it doesnt matter your experience level on it.
Experienced player can make more complex/beautifull plays, but smart begginers can also do very well playing it with more experienced player...

Firstly, your opponent that quit on you R. Conover, may have been me. I left a game last night because my opponent had a terrible Internet connection.

Anyway, for my review. WEPES2007 is a mixed bag, with mostly good aspects. The gameplay is great, like it always has been. My biggest gripe from last year's game has been fixed, and that's the fact that my teammates now run for a loose ball. Last year, they didn't, and that completely put me off from the game. This year, however, my teammates now work as a team. They also attack the opposition when they have the ball, whereas they ran away from the ball-controller last year. Just this one fix has greatly increased the enjoyment level over last year's version.

Some people will complain that it's too hard to shoot, when it's actually realistic. If you are able to get set and have time to line your shot, it's not that hard. But as we all know, that's not likely to happen. So, you'll take shots on the run a lot, and those are less accurate. That's realism. I would rather have it hard to make a shot and have a realistic score than to have a 13-10 final. This is not an arcade style game, it's sim.

The graphics are disappointing, not much of a step up from last year's PS2 version (which I owned and reviwed, and did not like). Luckily, I have an HDTV, so I get the clarity and crispness of the game. However, if you do not own a high-definition television, don't expect the look of it to wow you. Closeup, the players look good. On the field, they look like they always have.

The audio is virtually untouched. The announcing is accurate, the crowd sounds good, and the menu music is awful. The menus themselves are pretty ugly too, I forgot to mention that.

Online play is great, as long as you're not playing an opponent who has a bad connection. That, of course, can happen with any game though. If you are playing an opponent with a good connection, you can have brilliant experiences online. The entire game is exciting online, very fun.

If you have enjoyed past versions of Winning Eleven (Pro Evolution Soccer), you will like this one. There is still a lack of clubs, but that's nothing new. You CANNOT edit team names, logos, flags, or stadiums. But, since I'm not a diehard international fan, I'm not bothered by that. The gameplay is where it's at, and Winning Eleven is great at gameplay. If you're a fan of the franchise, fan of soccer, own a 360, and have $50 (not $60), you should go buy the next-gen version of the series.

Nice game but needs something more

Well... this is a very good game, I really enjoy playing alone or with my friends, if you like soccer this is the best game available. On the other hand it needs to be better finished, I guess they made a rush to release it for the 360 and forgot to add more details. But it is the best soccer game for the 360, there is no doubts about that...

review after playing for 2 hours

i've been a long time fun of Winning Eleven, since the super FC ago 10 years ago.

this game is hard, and for beginner, please don't play in "regular" mode, it's too hard to score a goal.

the graphics is great on my 50" HDTV.

reason for 4 stars?
i didn't get the WOW factor after spending so much for a XBox360 and this game. the game play itself (AI) is not that much better after 10 years. if you've playing Winning Eleven prior version, you know what i mean.

Don't expect PS2 gameplay

This is missing many of the great elements of the PS2 version especially the fine points of the edit player, league, team and cup system.

The gameplay was not up to the normal high standard of all the previous versions of W11 and PES and I was hoping for greater use of the system but many players are a little choppy and they do not turn or dribble with the same smoothness.

A great game nonetheless but not as good as it could or should be!

It's quite a funny thing

I agree to some extent with other reviewers on here, but here's something you must take into consideration. Fifa 2007 has beautiful graphics, all sorts of wavey shorts and shirts, dirt on players jerseys, all the stadiums and player names.... but what doesn't fifa 07 have? SOLID GAMEPLAY one match you could enjoy and have a descent time and score a few goals and then the next your bobbling the ball around getting beaten 3 nil. Instead of just comparing this game to other console versions, look at its competition on the same console. This WE07 has fantastic gameplay, the controls are instant the second you want to pass you can pass, and what I love even more than that is if you accidentally hit the shoot button for too long you can cancel it by pressing the button again! which drives me crazy on the fifa games if you didn't mean to push a button you're stuck watching the ball fly god knows where. I must admit they do need to amp up the graphics a bit, and more authenticity would be appreciated but it doesn't get much better than master league. I'm not sure what the guys talking about in the review complaining about not having player transfers. you can update the transfers as current as the January transfer roster, AND you can transfer players in the master league mode. overall i thoroughly enjoy this game and I'll be selling my copy of FIFA 07 if anyone is interested lol

Better than the current EA FIFA 07

I like the game, but I am very used to the controlls in EA-FIFA, so I had some trouble getting started. Of course, it doesn't offer all the "official" teams/names, but it is by far the better soccer game.
