Waste of a disc

1 Rating: 1, Useful: 0 / 0
Date: November 22, 2007

I played this game years ago. My brother and I played through it together and at best this disc is a waste of space. Occasionally the graphics were impressive for their time, but nothing about the game really made any sense. If you have any respect for the intelligence of your children, or respect for yourself, I would advise against having anything to do with this game.

animorphs rocks

I'm a huge animorphs fan my brother got me hooked and I love it. I wish they made more animorphs stuff. The game is okay better than the gameboy game and board game and not as good as the computer game. It's sound track is great, grafics are okay, but thats all. It can get frustrating. The seens in the beggining and end are amazing to bad there weren't more. It takes about two and a half hours to beat it. I went back and played it again to see if it had replay value. I beat it in an hour. List in ing to the music is fun though. There are only four animals witch sucks and battling stinks. Overall its okay not good not great not horrible. To bad animorphs is'nt around anymore I'd like to see an animorphs game on the PS2's engine well if your a diehard animorphs fan like me pick this up. Animorphs fans buy it it's the one and only animorphs game for the play station.

Cute, Charming, and Cool, But Kinda Cruddy

Okay, first things first. It's cute, charming, cool, yet cruddy. Hello!? Why didn't K.A. make the ... thing? It's almost like a completely different series- you can't morph what you wanna morph. I love cats, and Rachel is my fave Animorph (no duh), so I beg my mom to get it for me so I can play it. I wanted to morph Fluffer McKitty. But NOOO, you ...CANT! AARGH! But still, nice try! Coins? Hit-and-run technique? Look-at-me-I-have-to-morph-a-bear-or-some-other-not-so-cute-thing? I still loved it, and I'm still an Animorphs freak, but why's it so.........I dunno........weird? Hint: Make a different game. Better graphics. Better plot. Better GAME!

Rachel, Jake, Cassie, and Marco really come to life!

It's great. Although it is a platform game that is basically side-scrolling (very little 3-D action) it is really fun. But I guess you have to be a fan of the best-selling book series to get into it and understand it. But it's great. The voices are great and the animation is great. They got the morphs down packed and K.A. Applegate should be proud. I love the game.

This game is BAD. No kidding, no mincing words. The graphics are annoying when there is a fight sequence and all you do is wander around collecting coins (hello...haven't we moved beyond that by now?) What a waste of time. Don't even consider buying this lame game.

It's BAD.

It's "bad" plain and simple. When I got into a fight, the screen who shake, and I wouldn't see what was going on. It doesn't fllow along with the rules of the book. Like the way morphing looks. And the characters are always human, when in the book do they let their enemies see them as humans? ( This is before the yeerks find out their kids. ) Four of of six playable characters. I am sickened... Bad graphics. Marco has a "Rino" for a morph! C'mon! I'm so sickened, DO NOT BUY!!!!

Animorphs

First of all I love the Animorphs books. Though I didn't like the way it ended. I read all of them. I did love all the action and comedy that was told very well. I loved the fact that there was going to be a video game. I was worried that it would be like the TV show which I thought was terrible. It thankfully was like the books. Great animation in the movies. They showed what before I could only see in my mind. It also showed hork-bajar tougher than andalites fixing a problem with the books. The levels had good graphics. They were fun and chalenging with lots of action. Now for the problems with the game. You didn't get to play as Ax or Tobias. There were not enough levels and they all took place on earth. Many of the aliens you fight never were in the books and made no sense. The biggest problem is you can't morph at will. The game morphs for you. Why are you always jumping around as a human instead of morphing bird.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

I actually rented this game because it sounded interesting and original, and when I popped in into the old playstation, I was expecting just that. Boy, was I wrong. This game is so boring. You never do anything except jump around avoiding pitfalls and collecting coins (groan). Oh, once in awhile there will be a battle, you'll know when they're coming because all of a sudden you morph into some animal depending on which character you chose it the beginning. Battles are lame and boring. Every single enemy can be easily defeated using the old hit and run method. There doesn't seem to be any point to this game and if that isn't bad enough, wait until you hear the voice talent (or should I say lack of talent). So CHEESY! I'm sorry I even wasted the money on a rental. DONT BUY THIS LAME GAME UNLESS YOU ARE SIX YEARS OLD OR TOTALLY DESPARATE!

disappointed

As a fan of the animorphs book series I was a bit disappointed with the new animorphs game for playstation.Although the game kept the player interested it didn't quite give justice to the animorphs story and lacked a certain ingredient to make the game complete.I was disappointed to find out that the player could not choose when they wanted to morph. The graphics were good though.Although it wasn't as good as I had expected I still enjoyed playing it and would not discourage anyone from buying it.I encourage buyers to get information on the game and understand what it includes before purchasing it in a hope that future buyers will not be disappointed if it doesn't have what they thought.

Not A Game That Gives Fun People Want

2 Rating: 2, Useful: 6 / 9

The moment I got this game and started to play it, I knew right then that they didn't do the best they could to make this a successful game.

First of all: The graphics are off, I have to admit that they did give it a good 3-d picture, but all it is is a game where you are watching from the side view looking RIGHT at your person.

Second: You can only be 4 of the 6 characters. These include: Jake, Cassie, Rachel, and Marco. If they want a game to be a good one, let all of the characters be optional.

Third: You go by lives and tiny coins. I don't think that K.A. Applegate wanted to use coins.

Fourth: When you use all of your lives, you see a short picture of Ax getting a Yeerk in his ear. Ax isn't in the game! Another thing is that you can only be one animal. Such as Rachel is a bear. Jake a tiger. Marco: hah! Not real. He gets a rhino. Cassie as a HUGE wolf. the 2 4 6 levels is when you get to be either a dragonfly, bat, or dolphin. That's it.

Overal I rate this game two stars merely because the graphics are good. Otherwise, I think that GT Interactive (the maker of this game) should get a different idea.
