no angels - just death

My daughter was extremely upset when her tomagotchi died after being sick. In the virtual pet and desktop computer versions of this game, a sick or slightly ignored tomagotchi would return to its home planet. In the gameboy version you just find them dead! As a result, I'm sure that my daughter will never play with this game again.

We want hand held cyber pets back

Ever since I bought my last tamagotchi and I lost it(in 1998), I always wanted another one, but there were no more being sold. I tried to revive my other ones(5 others) and they didn't work I was so so upset. I love cyber pets sooo much.

I have been searching in every gadget shop I come across in the U.K. for one for 5 years. I was hoping that the fad would come back around again when the yo-yos came back, but the yo-yos have come back and I still can't find the tamagotchis. Can you please help me find them. Please.

Hi, my name is JAckie, I am 11 years old right noe. I got this game from a friend of mine free, he didn't want it anymore. Therefore I thought it would be as fun as the reall Tamagotchis. But this wasn't as FUN as the reall ones. I got bored really quick one day I wanted to play and suddenly it just turned off not the GB but the game, and EVERYTHING on it got erased as of, on the options menu when u pick the music categorie, It wouldn't come up!!! And I never got to put it on AGAIN!

I got this game for Christmas a while back, during the Tamagotchi craze. Even though I liked Tamagotchi's at the time, this game was extremely boring. All you do is leave your Game Boy on and wait for it to get hungry or bored so you can do something. There are only two good things about this game.

1) You can have up to three Tamagotchis at once. 2) There are lots of Tamagotchis, so you never know what it will grow up to be.

Confusing

This game was confusing. The Tamagotchi creatures kept dying after 10 minutes. It has very depressing music. I'm giving it 3 stars, though, because the price is well suited for it. A couple of the mini games were a little fun, but over all, I think that the game is not worth it.

Plenty of fun if you're Patient!

I don't know why this toy is getting such bad reviews. The Gameboy version is much better than the original toy! If you're patient enough to nurture your little pets, they'll grow into creatures that are energetic and willing to please. Once they mature, they don't become sick as easily, and become better at the games. In short, this game is not for those who like lots of action. If you have lots of time on your hands and don't mind having to wait, (there's a speed time option, to wake your pets early if you like) this game is a great way to pass the time.

Tamagotchi is a great game , You can play sports maths and guessing games and your tamagothi can turn into loadsa different stuff depending on how you look after it. You can enter them in races and beauty contests nd also look after 3 at a time. they can be vegetarians or they could love meat! your tamagotchi can get sick or die but it can also lay an egg and you can start all over. Buy it.

A cute game!

Tamagotchi for Gameboy is a cute game for younger kids. It's very similar to the keychain-egg toys but have a few additional features. You can adopt up to 3 tamagotchis at a time. Your tamagotchis have to be fed, washed, and played with. You can play sports games to build strength or mind games to raise IQ. You can enter your tamagotchis in three different competitions, one for mind, one for body, and one for cuteness. When your tamagotchis get older, they will "evolve" into different shapes. You can even potty-train them!

However, the game, like most digital/virtual pets, can get boring. If your tamagotchis' levels are high, you really have nothing to do until it beeps. This game has very few sounds, and since it is for regular gameboy and not gameboy color, the graphics are not very good. I recommend this game to all kids who liked the keychain tamagotchis. For other virtual pet games for gameboy, try Catz and Dogz.

from the origainal handheld pet to this!

It all started with a Tamagotchi Connection V2. I immeadiatly fell in love with the little virtual critters. I then realized it would be hard to get batteries for it so I wanted this for my game boy, as we have rechargables. This is MUCH different then the handheld that I'm used to. When you first start it, you pick new game and go to the 'Egg Room'. There you pick one of the eggs. In the handheld you got what you got. After that you get to name the egg, unhatched of course. I beleive you can name it up to seven or so letters. Then you go to 'the playroom' and your egg hatches. Then you can feed it carrots, meat or bread for the life (hunger) meter or you can feed it cake or an ice cream sunday for fun (happiness) meter. Another way to fill the fun meter is the smile game. Your Tamagotchi will turn its head left, right, left, right, and so on. Your job is to press the right arrow when its head is turned right and the left arrow when its head is turned left. If you do this correctly four or five out of five times a heart gets filled on the fun meter. Play the sports game to up your ability to win at the sports tournament ( when your Tamagotchi is older it can enter race, beauty, or I think IQ tournaments). If it gets sick you must heal it with either shots or pills. When your Tamagotchi goes to the bathroom (leaves a pile of poo on the screen), you must use the duck icon to clean it up. The game's moving through icons is VERY responsive. One of the few problems I have with my game is it doesn't run on Earth time, but instead, 'Tamagotchi Planet time'. It's an okay game, but now the best.

Remember these things, they were fun back then

It doesn't take long for us to forget things. The Tamagotchi was a craze for quite some time. Virtual pets were big, and this Game Boy game of them is quite a good game. Nothing about this game is truly exceptional. Everything about it is pretty much standard fare. The fun of raising your pet makes it more interesting. After a while though this can get tedious making you want to smash the game to bits. Either way you look at it though, it is a considerable amount of fun and should be looked at.
