I bought this as a first gameboy game for my son just before he turned 4. It kept him absolutely quiet for a 6 hour plane trip! It was easy for him to learn, varied enough to keep him interested, and didn't require complex maneuvering that might have frustrated him. I appreciate the way it involves no bad guys, shooting, violence and doesn't require an intimate understanding of a movie! After 6 months, my son still plays this game from time to time, but is now ready for something different.

This a a great game for young gameboy users or first-time users. My six-year old loves it. It is easy for him to understand and he caught on quickly. In the game you collect stars by doing different activities with Arthur. After collecting stars you get to go to an amusement park. Older kids would find this too babyish, but it's perfect for small ones.

my 5 year old daughter will be getting a gameboy for xmas this year. believe it or not she did not even know what one was when i asked her if she wanted one. after explaing what it was she said "yes". so, i decided i would play every game i bought her first. so, if it is too hard i can return it before xmas. the store i purchased it at accepts software returns if you are not satisfied. as soon as i started playing this game i realized how much she is going to like it. it has many fun mini games that are very easy to play. it is an EXCELLENT game for the young gameboy beginner. CAN'T WAIT FOR XMAS!!

Because it requires very little reading, this is the best game I have found for the age 5 and under Game Boy players. It also has several different activities to keep young children's attention and to help them build dexterity and eye/hand coordination to advance to more challenging games.

I just picked up the Arthur game for my 4 year old and he absolutely loves it. Most of the games for the gameboy are too difficult for him to manuver right now. The Arthur game has numerous little games to play. You collect stars at each game and once you collected all the stars you get to go to the amusement park. My son has already mastered the game but continues to play it with excitement. I would definately recommend this game to children 5 and under. Older kids might enjoy it but I would consider it to be too easy for them. Overall, this is a fun game and great for the first time child gameboy user.
