Fun Fun Fun! This game rocks! I'm a big GTA fan and this is a exceptional game. One thing. It should probably be rated "M."
Don't get your kids this game. It's way to violent. It is a good game though. Great graphics, great plot, great missions. I would reccomend it to anyone over fourteen years of age.

Great Game!!

I loved this game! There is a lot of action, it really never gets boring, and it's a great game to play when you have nothin' else to do. The only drawback is that the controls are a little iffy.

A fun game, but a little gets lost.

Grand Theft Auto was a great game on other consoles. To try and squeeze this on to GBC was very hard, and thus the translation suffers. First, actually stealing a moving car is too hard. You will occasionally find one that is parked, but it is a pain. And Second, the game lacks any of the real blood, gore, or cursing that made it stand out otherwise. However, there is still a great driving game underneath. Fast speeds, good music, and exciting missions make it always fun. There is also an arrow, which points you where you need to go. This is always very helpful. Joyriding is great, as none of the game is timed. Missions are always optional, and there are many to choose from. You get to play in three diverse cities: Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas. Everything made it over from the PS One great, and this is an great game. Buy this for the driving, not for the edgy content the PS One version had.

My cousin let me play it 'cause I let link cable. I couldn't understand it at first. All he said was to follow the arrow. Then I finally found the phone booths. I couldn't really drive the car at first. So if you want this game rent it first.

Poor control really hurts this game

Grand Theft has a refreshing plot-twist going for it (if nothing else) b/c in this game you are the criminal working your way up the outlaw ladder.

Too bad about the play control. This could have been a solid game if you could make your character go the way you wanted him to. Instead, you are confined to awkward and tedious control functions that render Grand Theft Auto virtually UNPLAYABLE.

excellent game, nothing better

there are no words to explain this game its just so awesome, I played the playstation version and I never got tired from it, I mean what can get so tiring from a game that you can drive around in cars stealing them shooting cops, ALSO HIGHJACKING TANKS. If I had this game I surely wouldn't put it down for one second. Trust me from the name of the game it might not sound that great but you'll love it. I would give this game more stars but you guys only have five.

This game is all right.

This game is nothing like the on Playstation, and wouldnt buy it again if i had to. -One flaw is it is to hard to get into cars. And if you get stuk, you have to turn off the system and start over. Another thing is the AI is horrable. The people on the sidewalk just stand there and WAIT for you to hit them or shoot them. The police are SO stupid. You can stand on one side of a car and the police will just keep running into the car not doing anything. What IS fun is running people down with your Doge Viper.

IS IT WORST,BETTER OR THE SAME AS DRIVER ON GBC.

Yes, yes, GTA is a great series of games; just not the GameBoy versions.

First, the city you're in must be some post-apocalyptic place where everone has died, because THERE ARE NO CARS ANYWHERE! THERE ARE NO PEOPLE ANYWHERE! How can you carjack and kill without cars or people?

Second, the play control is TERRIBLE. I... I can't go on... it's just too horrible.

Buy the PC or PS versions, but not this. You will cry.

This game is not worth your time. Although the city in the gameboy version is the same huge city in the PC verison, the game falls way short of Grand Theft Auto's good name. The graphics are decent and no compliants from that part of the game, but the overall game play is lacking. It is quite common for you to walk down a mainstreet and not see a car for miles. The police rarely come after you. I've had four cop heads one me(means I was a bad bad boy) and been able to walk around town without a cop ever coming after me. The steering system in cars is very poor and hard to turn. When you turn your car it looks cheesy and very unrealistic. I would not recommend you buy this game.
