AMAZING!!! Not just "ANOTHER" Zelda game...

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 3 / 3

This game is by far, the best game(s) i have played for gameboy. Since the two link together. there are 8 different levels on each new zelda game (a total of 16 levels to beat). not to mention that if you beat both games, there is a final (FINAL) boss you can ONLY play if you have beaten both games. I have played the Jap. versions, and from what i saw you dont want to miss out!!

Great and Complex

I am still in the middle of this game. It is a very good game but if you like simple games don't get it. It is challenging and very fun.

Go Nintendo, Go Capcom!

You turn on you GBC and you see Nintendo's logo in blue on top of the screen and Capcom's logo on the Botom. Then, the magic begins. The game is similar in gamplay to Link's awakening, but I somwhow get killed much more often. Don't get scared though.

When you play this game, you will probably notice by some subtile things in it that Capcom did it. "Poison Moth Dungeon" for a second I thought I was playing Megaman X. hehehe. Some other places you'll notice some capcom influence.

You get to use 3 partners, and one of them joins you permanently, while the others go.... somewhere, I don't know.

I mus ad that you don't need two gameboys and a link cable to link the games. While it is an option, you can also use passwords.

I'm still not done with the game, I'm about half way through though. But this I can tell you, It has been a fun ride all the way through. I can morph into a Like-Like!!!

Anyway, gotta go play.

DIN'S FIRE ISN'T AS HOT AS THIS GAME

Well maybe it's not that good (but it's close). There aren't to many puzzle's, but there is a lot of fighting...

Just like any other game you will need a Strategy Guide to beat this...BUT I'M NOT REVIEWING A "Strategy Guide" AM I? :) (I was just giving you a tip.

This game is top notch in graphics (not as good as Game Boy Advance games, but it is the highest quality imaginable for Game Boy Color...Oh and yes...I AM one of the lucky few very first people to own a GBA...I got it on the first day it came out...The reason why I am Bringing my GBA into this is because if you turn left one screen from where you enter Horon city, you will find a special shop that you can only go to with a Game Boy Advance!!! Just an other hint).

The game has 8 levels and tons of items. when you link it with Oracle of Ages (oh and BTW...Oracle of Ages is more of a puzzle game than i fighting game...) you can go back to this game with hint's given by people on the Ages game to get more items.

This game and the Ages Game are two of the best Zelda games ever made. BUY BOTH TODAY...(AND DON'T FORGET A STRATEGY GUIDE...OR YOU MIGHT DIE TRYING TO BEAT BOTH GAMES;)

Absorbing and Fun

Last summer I got a job working as a night security man at a warehouse. I bought and started playing Oracle of Seasons to help pass the time during those nights.

The game was excellent. It's a classic, tried and true Zelda adventure. Often, I would get so absorbed in this game that I lost track of time. I remember one night playing this game for what seemed like an hour only to look up and see that three hours had passed!

My favorite part of Oracle of Seasons was the bosses. I would be so motivated to get through each dungeon just because I wanted to see what the next bizzarre boss would be like. And once at the boss, it was always fun and challenging figuring out the strategy needed to beat him.

Anyway, I'm sure we all know that this game is awesome, and so I'm not going to repeat the praises given in the other reviews. Instead I will now discuss the few flaws and why I only gave this game four stars.

First, the puzzles aren't challenging enough. While they might give a thirteen year old a hard time, they're pretty easy by adult standards. There wasn't one puzzle in the game where I couldn't just stop and think for a second to get the answer, often it was just a matter of finding a tree stump to change the season, and that's not hard either considering you have a map that tells you where all the tree stumps are.

Also, the ring system was kind of annoying. Link can find rings, but before he can use them he has to get them appraised and equipped at the ring shop. I can understand having to get them appraised, but it gets a bit tedious having to go back to the ring shop every time you want to equip a different ring.

Finally, I think they could have made the plot better. When I played Link's Awakening for gameboy I was very interested in the plot. I was curious about the Wind Fish and what would happen when I beat the game and woke him up. Oracle of Seasons plot doesn't have that element of suspense or curiousity. (They do give you a password at the end to play Oracle of Ages, but even though this is a really good game, after spending thrity or so hours playing Oracle of Seasons the last thing I want to do is run out and buy an nearly identical game. Password or no password.)

Two of the most exciting and challenging games ever!

The legend of Zelda, Oracle of ages and Oracle of seasons have to be two of the best games to be put on the market yet. With tons of new puzzles along with the originals. New weapons and items. new allies that can help you on your quest:Ricky the kangaroo, help him get his gloves back and he'll let you climb in his pouch to jump over holes with out Roc's feather, with a powerful punch and a killer tornado attack he is a highly useful, Dimitri the Dodongo, rescue him from a group of kids and he'll welp you travle accross deep waters without Zoras' flippers and he can swallow enimies in a single gulp, and finally Moosh, the flying bear, although I haven't reached this gentle giant in the games yet I do know that if he powers up he can hit the ground with tremendous force. New items like magnetic gloves to help you reach far away objects. and the addition of the mystical seeds. Ember seeds, use these to light the unlit torches and burn down small trees, Sent seeds attract enimies to a single spot making the more easy to defeat. Pegasus seeds, allow you to run faster and jump farther,Mystery seeds sprinkle some of these on an owl statue and wait to see what happens. (conntinued on a later date)

This game is cool!I have it and I am really good at it.It's when Link gets warped to a differnent land called Holodrum. This person called Din(as in "Din's Fire"!)wanted to meet Link very much. She saw a red light in the forest and saw Link was lying there. There is also somebody called Impa. She is the group's cook.Din is diguised as a dancer, but is actually the Oracle of Seasons. Then, after Link and Din dance,Onox,General of Darkness,KIDNAPS DIN!It is Link's job to save Din.Onox says that if he kidnaps Din,he will have control of the seasons.Use the Rod of Seasons to take control of the seasons. But,you must get your Rod of Seasons enchanted by the Season Spirits at the temple of seasons before you can change the seasons. The monsters are also tough. To me Zelda Oracle of seasons is hard, easy, cool, challenging, and scary. The bosses are tough.

I think this is one of the best games on game boy. No other game, I think, lets you do what this one does. It makes you feel like you're in the game, I think. The reason is because the dialogue is interesting. Even the puzzles aren't too hard, but they're not too easy, either. This game is definitely recommended. I bet you that if you got any other game, it wouldn't be close to this one. And this game let's you do more if you connect to Ages or use the new Game Boy Advance. I think you should get this.

Zelda dosen't dissapoint!

From the minute I recieved the Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, it hasn't left my GBA. The plot is good enough to keep you glued to the screen and the gameplay is excelellent. It's classic Zelda: Helping townsfolk, dungeon cwrawling, and exploration. This game also has nice bounuses for GameBoy Advance owners. The color pallet is slightly different, and brighter, which is a good thing, and there are some secrets that can only be found on a GBA. The graphics are acceptable, and the sound is OK, but the music is good and hum-able. As to which version to buy, Seasons or its sister game Ages, It really dosen't matter which one you buy, because you'll end up buying them both anyway.

A great game!
