Just finished the demo - and if this is any indication of the final game - well the final game will be amazing! More robust than Tomb Raider and Indy branded - a total experience. A must purchase.

A Great Action Game!

This was the only Indiana Jones game I owned back when I bought this game which was abought two years ago. I was in the 5th Grade. I really enjoyed playing the game because I am a real Indiana Jones fan. I have all three of the movies[raiders of the lost ark, temple of doom and the last crusade], the raiders of the lost ark soundtrack and now this game.

The setting of the game is excellent and in the first level you start in CANYONLANDS. The controls might be a little tricky to start out with but soon you will get used to them. Also, in the first level you can get a walkthrough that tells you exactly what you have to do to get to the end, that's when you first see Sophia Hapgood and she discusses the problem with the Russians. In the second level BABYLON you first see Volodnikav and he talks aboud Marduk and the Infernal Machine. Also, you first see the guards and you start collecting weapons. That's what you do untill you get the first machine part in the fourth level SHAMBALA SANCTUARY and he's pretty hard to beat! There's a guard or monster that guards every machine part so you have to learn how to beat each one. The game is easy but it depends on how hard you make the game difficult using the difficult bar, I beat the game using freshman but now I make it harder because more experianced with the game. There are 16 levels in genral but 17 if you can get the secret map. That's all I have to say about the game, you have to do the rest on you're own.

The game was fun for me to play but only for the first time. Now I have memorized everything you have to do so now I just play my favorite levels.

This game is highly recommended to EVERYONE!!!!!

If you like Indy, you are automatically going to like this game. It has lots of action and puzzles in it. This game was a challange. The graphics were amazing but the only flaw in the game would have to be it gets stuck sometimes between a wall and a rock or something. The characters were developed very well and it gave you only a little of the plot at a time. The way the story comes together makes you hungry for more. Can't wait for the next Indy game if it is like this. Most games I beat i toss aside but I have played this one three times over. A must for all adventure fans.

A great game!

I was worried about this one. Would it have a good Indy-style story? Would it make you feel like you were really controlling Indiana Jones? Would it be something besides a different-looking Tomb Raider? And most of all, could it possibly have that Indiana Jones feel without Harrison Ford being somehow a part of it? The answer is yes to all of the above. The story is incredibly engaging for one thing. Unlike the Phantom Menace game, the story didn't lull just to accomadate frustrating jumping puzzles (those are kept to a mininum in this game). Although there is a slight bit of things that will get you stuck and clueless, it's never so extreme you'll want to quit the game. I'm not quite finished yet because I'm savoring every moment! Are there any downsides? Well, yes. The music (great in most LucasArts games) is almost nonexistent here. When it comes in though, it's high quality. The graphics aren't incredible either, especially in the character and animations. I loved the characters anyway though. Overall: This game just feels like Indy. A beautiful love interest, lots of twists, a supernatural edge, and of course the whole Communist/Nazi thing. 4 stars.

I am certainly amazed!

I just finished playing Lucasart's latest Indiana Jones thriller, and I am certainly amazed by it! I find it hard to believe that this excellent game has gotten so many poor reviews. Come on people! Don't we buy computer games (especially when they're run offs of our favorite movies) to try and journey into another world? Isn't that exactly what Indy and the Infernal Machine does? It great gaming at its best!

The only draw backs to the game were a few errors, such as appearing in a new level without any of your items (which include some Infernal Machine parts which are critical to getting through most levels.) Aside from that, the game is very good.

So whether you're dashing along a beach on a tropical island in the Philippines, busting commies at 75 miles per hour, blasted your way off a Soviet ship, or hiking through snowy mountains, you'll find every level in this game to be excellent!

So.....what are you waiting for? Buy it!

This game plays very much like the tomb raider series - seasoned gamers will be able to jump right in, but casual gamers might find themselves scratch their heads from time to time. Most of the puzzles are fairly straight-forward - you either perform a series of switch-pulling, or locate a key item to open the door. A small portion of the puzzles require clever maneuver of tools (some of which also double as weapons), which in my opinion is the highlight of the game. The platforming is on the easy side, and most of the enemies are pretty idiotic - if you toss a grenade at them they usually don't run away. The graphics are a bit granny in today's standard but I believe was handsome at its day. Fans of the movies will be pleased to find the music in this game is variation of that from the movies, and they even managed to find a voice-over for indy that is pretty close to Harrison Ford. The game has 17 levels, which is plenty to keep you occupied for a while.

Great game... Has Indy... Not Ready For Sale

This game is great, and it is a great game overall in order for LucasArts to strike back at Eidos's Tomb Raider for trying to take away Indy's title of the greatest adventure dude out there. The game is one of the best I have played, but if you do the wrong thing, the game crashes. MOST of these problems can be fixed by downloading patches at lucasarts.com, but I really hate the hassle this causes. Make sure you know how to get a patch if you get this game.

A must for all Indy Fans

This is now an older game (as of 2003) but the puzzles and the graffics were very good for the time. The game is very satisfying and it will take a while for you to complete the game. There are not too many people too shoot, you'll find that the bulk of the time you are alone trying to figure out a puzzle. I played the whole game on the hardest difficulty setting and didn't find it too difficult due to the quick save function. Make good use of it. There are more than enough health items to get you through the game, and if you save often as I did, you wont even have to use them because you can go back and load your quicksave. I found myself stockpiling items this way with no real need for them. If you get really frustrated with the puzzles there are some walkthroughs on the internet.

Some people have complained about glitches in the game, and I found myself to be seemingly a victum of a bad CD. This is not the case, on a certain level, you cannot see Indy, all you have to do is go into the video settings and click on "redraw" and the problem is fixed.

All and all it was a great game for it's time, if your ordering another Item, it is more than worth the dirt cheap price you can get it for here, and plus if you qualify for free shipping, there is no reason not to throw it in with your order.

WAY TOO COMPLICATED FOR ME !

I bought this game a few days ago and was exited to try it out. It looked pretty impressive from the box. When I found out how it was played with the keyboard I almost gave up right away. There are too many ways to do things .Every time I move I have to look in the book. Another thing is like other games I have , like roller coaster tycoon the graphics are way too dark, I hate that. How can I jump when I can barely see where I am standing or where I supposed to jump to? This kind of thing can be extremely annoying. The graphics are very good, but too dark, Im sure it has plenty of puzzles and things like that people are looking for. I just find the interface awkward and complicated without having to be. Try it and see for yourself,

wow what a game
