Game was fun- don't expect any support

1 Rating: 1, Useful: 2 / 3

Despite the fun I had with this game, the support has been so awful that they lost almost all of the stars. I downloaded the game and they never sent me a cd rom. Since then I have lost the game to a computer virus. I have e-mailed to enquire why I never received a cd. I sent that e-mail almost 2 months ago. I have since sent three more e-mails. I have still not heard from them-and at this point I really do not expect to. It seems to me that the money I spent is as good as gone. Be warned! If you ever need support I can pretty much guarantee you will not get- and if you do, I would appreciate knowing your secret.

Excellent game, awful implementation and support

I am a huge Scrabble addict and play this game non-stop, but that is only because I love the game itself, and not the way they put this together. There are all sorts of bugs with the way it plays, and there is no chance of ever getting support from anybody. Their call-in phone support gives you an automated robotic voice which is almost impossible to understand. No humans anywhere.

Also, be warned, gameplayers are currently getting this message when they play:

Hasbro Interactive em@il games

We hope you have enjoyed the Em@il games series and we appreciate your patronage of Infogrames products, but we regret to inform you that as of May 1, 2001 Infogrames Interactive will no longer maintain the server that exchanges turns for the Em@il series of games. Please ensure that all in-progress games are completed by that date to avoid interrupted games.

(Please refer to the software licensing agreement that came with your Em@il games for details on service duration questions.) ------------------------

So the game might not even work for you. Check on this before buying.

best computer game in our house

2 Rating: 2, Useful: 4 / 8

This is the best computer game in our house....and the most played! My 4 year old playes it over and over. She loves the characters, the music, and hunting for the clues. She doesn't get bored with it because it changes every time she playes it, and it really makes her think. This game was definitely worth the money!

Worth the 15 Bucks

This game is great for those who have a slow day at work. It can be a little slow, and the Hasbro server loses a game in cyber space occasionally, but over all it is pretty good. The biggest draw back is that it can only be played with 2 people and once word gets out you have this game everyone wants to play.

Disappointing Quality and Support, but Scrabble's Good

The game is slow and the interface is clunky. The game also fails to notify the player who makes the last play what the final score of the game was. When they recently released a new addition of the software they failed to fix this major bug, and didn't add any features that added value to the game. All the Scrabble game play features are there though, and it can be a good way to keep in touch with old friends. I give the general Scrabble game four stars and the interface two stars, for an average rating of three.

very challenging

Even though my daugter loves the characters, music and animation, we found this game to be very long (thank goodness you can save it and continue later!). This is the main reason why I am rating it only 3 stars. However, if you work with your child until you and she/he can find all the clues, then she/he will be able to remember are and master the game her/himself. Personally, we have yet to complete a game.

I was a little disappointed with this game. I had played other Freddi Fish games with my granddaughter, which were adventure games, and this game is strictly an arcade game. I'm sure my granddaughter will still enjoy it, but it is not what I thought I was buying.

Loved by our five year old!

We received this as a gift and after a somewhat rocky start (Hard to figure out what is going on and instructions are a little vague) we loved it. Our five year old daughter plays it constantly and loves to try to figure out how to solve the case. It is different every time you play, so even if you are able to solve it (we haven't yet) it's a new game each time. A great game...we are giving it as gifts to every computer kid we know!

The Hasbro Interactive web site is closed

They closed the facilitating site around May 1st. It was a great game. I am trying to find another E-mail game.

SCRABBLE ACROSS DISTANCES

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 14 / 14

My mom is not one for computer games but loves Scrabble. Since I live so far away, I bought this for her to try. (She has won every game!) Besides the actual games, we write each other little notes at the end of our turn. Now, she plays with several of her friends from across the country and even in her home town. It was easy for her to setup and the computer keeps track of scores, challenges and even shuffling your tiles.
