I want this game so bad.I am a true fan of the Simpsons.I have watched every episode exept for a couple in the new season ,but hey, there is still the season finale with reruns.I have read articles about this game and want it so bad. Some of my friends who wouldn't care less about the Simpsons even think that it sounds like a great game.Alot of people expect me to buy this because I am such a big fan.Whenever I'm playing the arcade game with people ,I'm always mentioning things like,"Watch out for 'so and so' or get that from 'so and so'." They're like,"Who?" Then I'll say,"the dog ,the guy with glasses ,etc."People think that this game will be very cool.We all hope it will be.I think it will be the best game!!!!!You know what?I know it will.

Another lackluster Simpsons game for Game Boy

I wanted this game to be good, but it just isn't. I love the Simpsons which is probably the reason I keep buying the games they put out for Game Boy but The levels for this game are just too simplistic and uninspired. Also in order to prevent playing the early levels each time you turn on the game you need to input an 11 letter code which is a annoying. I will probably play with it for about another day or two, then put it away to be forgotten. The two stars are mostly just for the Simpsons name. I would have given it more, but not after paying ...

Buy another game...

I am a big fan of the simpsons, but I'm sorry to tell the world that if it weren't for the simpsons name and if a random hero were in it, nobody would ever buy it. THQ was thinking that if they were going to publish that game, the name would sell even if it's a ... game. Hell, the NES simpsons were better!

It's pretty much standard practice for game developers to try and cash in on successful franchises. Usually the games are poorly constructed and will often have little or nothing to do with the TV show or movie that they were "inspired" by. Night of the Living Treehouse of Horror is a pleasant surprise and is actually worth playing. As a fan of the series since the beginning I have grown accustomed to being disappointed by cheap products. During the past year or so things have been improving and this game is no exception. Purists will try to tell you that it's a bad game because some liberties have been taken with the episodes that the levels were based on, but I'm here to let you know that the game is fun and challenging. Looked at from the view point of a gamer there are a few problems with it. The worst one being the password feature and how infrequently you can save. However, in exchange for this we get a Game Boy color game with excellent color. Simply put, the game looks great! Also, I would rather be challenged by a game than have everything handed to me with automatic saves everywhere. Although it defeats a game's purpose to be so hard that you can't even play it, it also defeats the purpose to be so easy that you're done in a day. The developers of this game knew that and found a nice compromise between the two. They have also provided two different difficulty levels based on your preferences. If you're a fan of the series and you're a gamer (casual gamers may be in over their heads) I say ignore the whining of the "fan boys" (who are always upset about something) and give the game a chance. I believe that you will be pleasantly surprised.

Is anyone else besides me stuck in Level 4 of this game, the one in which Homer goes through the castle after Mr. Burns the Vampire? When I get there, I can't destroy him because for some reason the garlic-press shooter (triggered with the A button) stops working when I get to the basement. I wonder if my game cartridge is defective (which would be too bad 'cuz I tossed out the receipt--bad move). If I should be so lucky that it isn't, and you know how to finish off Burnsie the bloodsucker, please email me. Thank you!

When I bought this game I wasn't so sure it was going to be a good game, but when I first played the game I loved it! There are only seven levels but it is a great game! The levels and graphics are harder and better than what I expected. If you are a Simpsons fan, you'll love this game! I've had the game for a while and I still haven't beat it. If anyone has played the Game Boy Color game: Rugrats the First Movie, this game is a little like that but a lot better. This is the best Game Boy Color game I've played!

AT frist this game was easy, so I thought this was going to be a boring. Then it got harder, so each day I wanted to pass the levels. So this is a good game for people who want a challange.

It doesn't...

Looks like Simpsons fans have to face it. There will NEVER be a truly great Simpsons game. This game is another example of a mediocre Simpsons game at best. The game play is slow. The object of the game is mainly a scavenger hunt which gets really boring, really fast. The most fun levels are the Metal Gear style Haunted Cafeteria Level and the Rampage style King Homer level. The Marge level is okay but its impossible to beat Krusty at the end. The game's graphics are good and the sound is nice too. It is worth a rental.

This game turned out better than i expected, as i have always been a Simpsons fan and virtualy buy anything to do with the show, so naturaly i bought this game, the prolblem was i knew nothing about it. When i got into the game i actually started to enjoy it. The game is based aroud the halloween episodes of The Simpons with you the player taking on the role of any of the main 5 characters. You have to battle past possesed characters from the show like Mr Burns, and while doing so earn the right to play the bonus level featuring Homer. This is a good game and a bit of a challenge so i would recommend it to anyone
