This is a wonderful dice puzzle game. It has a quest mode, and other modes including multiplayer and you can unlock time-attack mode. You have to figure out things and use your brain, especially to get "perfect" on all levels. The characters are adorable, even the enemies are adorable. I got this game 2 years ago and I still play it regularly just because it is so much fun.
I love everything about this game. I only wish there was bombastic character merchandise for sale because everything about this game is so cute.

i thought it was for kids

At first i thought this game was for kids, it's simple at first, or it seems at the tutorial, but it is a great game, some puzzles can be tricky to resolve and it is a good time to do it. Playing five is amazing, if you have a multitap you shouldn't let this game pass, it's a blast.

Awesome game, for a low price.

ok you may be thinking how good could a game that is only 3.00$ be, well I'm happy to tell you that this is probly one of the most addicting and fun game for the PS2 in my opion. Atop being a having great addicting game play it also looks great. If you are thinking that its not for you because its to easy, well then your dead wrong, this game starts easy but does get stedily harder as you progress thourgh the levels. One of the main things that makes the game so fun is the unique puzzle orienated boss battles. My only complant is the story which is bland.
So overall:
Gameplay:A+
Graphics:A
Story:D+
Overall:A

Warning: Chemicals contained in Bombastic are known to be highly addictive

A few months back I was in the video game store and saw Bombastic in a bargain bin for five dollars. Without thinking much about it, I bought the game, took it home, played it for about fifteen minutes, and put it on the shelf. It sat on the shelf, collecting dust for about two months until I decided to give it another shot. At first, this game was very challenging and seemed like pure luck to me. As I continued to play it and learned new move combinations, I found myself becoming more and more addicted to the gameplay. Before long I was playing this game every day and had three die sitting in front of me as I ate breakfast on my way to work. I found myself picturing dice while I was going to sleep, driving, watching movies, and reading books. I became obsessed and considered starting a chapter of Bombastics Anonymous in my hometown.

The game play was very difficult at first. It took me a while to understand how to move the dice without switching faces. I was frustrated (hence returning the game to the shelf for two months) but upon overcoming that hump, was greatly rewarded. My skill is constantly improving and as I frantically blow up die to reach a new high score, my heart races and my eyes tear up. This game is very intense and has enough completely seperatre modes to make it a worthy purchase. Do yourself a favor; buy this game and STICK WITH IT! I gave up on it too easily and am now making up double time.

5/5

Great once you get a handle on it.

Let me start by saying that my wife and I are complete Tetris/Lumines addicts. However, unlike those games that you can play against each other, this game allows two people to play with each other. And it is the most fun we've had with a game in a long time. If you like the before mentioned games then you have to give this a try. We play this in our ps3 more than any next generation game.

highly addictive, great design, lots of replay value

I'm a bit surprised by the mixed reviews I've read in gaming magazines. BOMBASTIC is a very addictive puzzle game. It's loads of fun, has a nice varied pace between slow and hectic, and has a lot of replay value.

In roughly similar gameplay to TETRIS and MR. DRILLER, you need to line up dice in BOMBASTIC in order to keep the board clear (in Trial mode). This is done partly through skill and planning and partly through chance and luck. There are fun, literally explosive combinations that take place which can help to both clear the board and jeopardize your game. I love attempting to line up as many number 6's as possible...the resulting explosion is near atomic!

On top of that, the character and game design is really charming. I love the environments and the bosses, and the toon graphics are very appealing. The animation could use some work, but I'm a purist.

I took SOUL CALIBUR 2 out of my PS2 to play BOMBASTIC and I haven't looked back.

There are other games modes as well, including a Quest mode which has enemies and bosses you need to contend with as you clear a more linear, obstacle-course style board, a multiplayer Wars mode which I haven't played yet, and a Classic mode, which might be the game DEVIL DICE. I don't know, because I never played DEVIL DICE.

Though Quest mode is more charming and has great characters, I'm glued to Trial mode, still looking to clear 100 levels.
