key word = repetitive

1 Rating: 1, Useful: 7 / 7
Date: October 30, 2006

This game is just boring. Same repetitive game plan in all levels. I don't beleive this game is for all levels. I also think younger kids will just give up because if you mess up at any point you're forced to go back to the start of the level your playing. So, it's just over and over again. View angles are also lame. You get one view and that's it. Bump into something you aren't allowed to see yet -- well too bad-- it's back to the level's start. Bought this on sale -- wish I hadn't wasted my game bucks.

impressive graphics, mediocre play

My 4-year old son went through his little "Nemo phase", so of course we had to try the PS2 game out. Here are the good and the not so good....

PROS
--Graphics are top notch. Characters are instantly recognizable. Lots of movie footage.
--Sound is impressive as well; the voices are here and so are the sound effects.
--Lots of different challenges; game appears to be pretty lengthy.

CONS
--Play control can be a little awkward, so the kids may get frustrated.
--Annoying amount of loading, plus the load times are pretty long compared to other games. The price one pays for all the footage put on the game.
--Challenges are a little too challenging at times for youngsters.

BOTTOM LINE
Try this game as a rental or pick it up used.

Cute graphics-slow loading

This game was a little disappointing. Slow loading time. Tiring levels, especially chasing Dorey. Wish the game had a little bit more adventure in the levels without the time limits.

What is this? I play WWII games and I am playing this!

Parents do not buy this game for little chirdren, The only thing that gave it one star is because I sort of like nemo that OTHERWIZE I would give it a zero. Do not be fooled by the easy look of the game because it is quite hard. I think the hardest part was the time when you have to follow gill because of the snails and the bouncing ball. So parents only buy this game if your child is at least 7 or higher because of the hardness.

NEMO RULES!

I am a finding nemo fan, and when I saw the movie, I knew
that I was in love with it. The game itself is beutifle and fun.
I like the games where you have to chase stuff, or when you are running away from something...Well anyways, I hope you enjoy the game as much as I do.

A balanced review

This video game is rather repetitive. Most levels involve merely swimming through rings over and over. However, given this simple game play a younger child will probably find it too difficult or frustrating to play it for long.

You are given plenty of chances to practice a level in the face of failure, so with some patience each level can be finished. It's too bad that the control in this game is a bit off, which is what makes completing the simple repetitive levels harder.

Nemo fans will enjoy the clips from the movie that are integrated into the game. The in-game engine bits however are a bit off and disappointing since they are animated at a lesser level than the Pixar clips.

snails

Someone asked about the snail thing and I had trouble with this part too but eventually figured it out. Start at the part with just two snails and then work your way over to the other end, but there's only enough time to bounce on each snail one time so move quickly. Hope that helps.

underwater adventure

finding nemo is based on the disney movie coming out this summer where a father fish is sadly separated from his young one. Embark on an adventure as you search the ocean world for the young fish as you encounter many obstacles along the way: sharks, whales, and even dolphins. For all you disney lovers out there you might want to try this game.

I'm 10 and loved this game it's fun and great for 10 and older kids because it's kind of hard. Finding Nemo lovers will love this game! Everyone should buy it!

Way too many "chase" sequences

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 4 / 7

game would be better without the nearly impossible chases in it

graphics - 5 stars
storyline - 5 stars

game play - less than 0

This game is too hard for kids under 8, which is the film's target audience.
