A great JRPG

This is a great game and if you are new to the Shin Megami Tensei persona line of games fear not. This game can be played with out playing the others and does not follow their story line.

A little disappointing, there is light at the end of the tunnel however!

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3

I have to say that I have mixed feelings about this game. While I am a big fan of the MegaTen series, this game did come up a little short in some aspects. While I won't go into details that could be construed as spoilers, I will say that there are some elements in this game that are 'recycled' from some of the other MegaTen games, namely Nocturne. The Persona creation system in the game, however, more than made up for what was lacking with originality of some of the content. I can say though, that by the game's completion, you will be very satisfied with the outcome.

Hours of fun!!!

This game was a blast. Great story line, creative interactions with charecter and charecter developement. And the sound track was a huge bonus.

Best PS2 Game and RPG of the Year

This game is by far the leading game in both RPG categories and PS2 Games. I have played Mass Effect and Pokemon and they can not compete with what is the amazing fun that is Persona 3. As for PS2 Games God of War II is to much of the same to compare with the addicting mix of school and demons. Do not pass this game up, you will be missing the second greatest piece of gaming art this year. If you haven't bought BioShock yet, go buy it right now. If you have then this is the next best game you could get.

The PS2's Last Great RPG

Persona 3 is RPG of the year for me, and if it weren't for Mass Effect, I'm sure it would be for a lot of other people, too. The game is a triumph for its series and is rewarding to play. The music is a phenomenal blend of techno and pop. All the characters are memorable and often hilarious. It's a blast acquiring new personas and fusing them to get new abilities. Persona 3's difficulty is just right, unlike other games in the Shin Megami Tensei line which tend to be for the most determined hardcore players only.

If you've NEVER played SMT, here you are.

This is one of those game's you'll either really really love, compare endlessly to the last SMT: Persona's or despise from the pit's of your soul.

A great game, solid and fun story and very tuned gameplay. If you've never played another SMT before and are looking for a game that won't aggravate you with difficulty, this is a great choice for those interested.

Now this is how to do a JRPG...

It's a true dungeon crawl though, so be wary of this fact before you push the buy button. It mixes in highschool antics and teenager romance to boot!
