IT'S GONNA BE BETTER THAN GOLDENEYE, YOU WATCH!!!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 14 / 35

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS MASTERPIECE TO COME OUT. I READ A GAME MAGAZINE, AND THEY SAID THAT YOU CAN USE A CROSSBOW,NEW ASSUALT RIFLES,BETTER SHOTGUN,A MORE COOLER P2K PISTOL, AND EVEN NEW GADGETS, LIKE X-RAY GLASSES,MAGNETIC CLIMBING DEVICE( for climbing walls, swweett!),A BRIEFCASE GUN W/ CAMERA AND CONTROLLER, AND ALSO A WRISTWATCH LASER. THEY EVEN SAID THAT THEY'RE GONNA HAVE BIGGER,BETTER,COOLER MULTIPLAYER LEVELS AND GADGETS( talk about heaven!),with more places to explore. plus there will be over 15 new levels;from a skyscraper,to an outer space station, the levels will diffinetly beat goldeney's [rear] back to the discount rack at the [thrift store] ( that would be so funny to see!)they also said that they will inprove enemy A.I., and even make you have different choices for what you wan't to do. with all this value,i thinks it will BEAT Goldeneye at first glance. you should not miss this in NOVEMBER, it will be sswwweeett man!! 007,over and out......

Bond is back

I currently have played this game.

It is sweet.

I experienced 3 hours of blasting sound and graphics. The Strafe is a bit different the screen tilts a bit. This is an excellent FPS. First add the graphics come alive plus many new weapons, this equals total fun. New shotgun, sniper rifle, granades, flask bangs, lasers sighted M4 with scope. Trout me folks this is Perfect to entertain any gamer of any sort. This is bring bond back with a twist. They brought back a skiing level so get ready to hit the slopes.
THEY STILL HAVE CARS SO DO NOT WORRY.

Weapons: Weapons consist of Raptor magnum, Delta 900x Repeater (cross bow), Storm M9 (Uzi), AIMS-20 (The M4 with scope and laser), shotgun, and many more.

Gadgets: Most of the gadgets consists of q-wrist watch laser, pen that shoots darts, lighter that is a camera, car key shocker, cell phone grappling hook, night vision glasses and much more coming out.

Levels: 15 levels in the full game.

There are some awesome enemies. These are not just the normal fighters it feels like they are alive. The bond girls are still there so anyone with a frown put it upside-down.

There is so much more coming out I just can't wait until this game comes out to purchase.

EA games ...

EA games cant make a FPS. Rare was the best, and the only competitor is Bungie. Goldeneye will always be the best FPS out there. EA games could only make their's worse. don't buy this. if you want a good stealth game, buy Morrowind, if you want a FPS, buy UT2003. don't waste your time with a special ed. version of goldeneye. goldeneye was good because it was original, not loaded with hi-tech ... and impossible guns.

Nightfire PC Demo: Review

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 27 / 33
Date: November 17, 2002

Despite the review above which states that EA can't make FPS, this new Bond adventure for the PC will possibly be the best Bond game since our beloved "Goldeneye". Remember those days? I do, boy that game was amazing. I've downloaded the PC Demo for Nightfire and I was shocked.

THE PROS:

*Amazing graphics-Gearbox has really gone beyond expectations. The models are perfect, clear, crisp, and just plain sexy. The enviroments are incredible, lighting is perfect, and shades of color are not too bright or too dark.

*Gameplay-so much fun! It's like "Goldeneye" gone insane, if you thought "Goldeneye" was awesome then you'll die (hopefully another day!) when you play this! Gunfights are are so much fun and damage done by enemies is reasonable.

*Weapons-I used a variety of weapons in the demo. Plus I found a secrete one, DESERT EAGLE. They all have secondary fire modes and fire rate is reasonable. All weapon models are perfect and rounded, no sharp edges or bland color.

*Missions-Hard but damn fun! I love that in computer games. It's somewhat hard but the game is so much fun that you just want to keep trying again. You don't end up throwing your PC out the window.

*AI-Enimies are programed to kill, and they will. They don't roll over and play dead so easily so get ready to fight! So much fun!

*Gadgets-Fun to use and can save your life! The dart pen was fun to use!

*Saving-Save anywhere. THANK YOU GOD!!!!!! this is my favorite aspect of the game!

THE CONS:

*Loading times are insane and long. What the hell were they thinking when deciding to put loading times for almost every damn room you enter in the game? That really made me mad.

*If you carry too many weapons you tend to go a lot slower. You have to drop some weapons to go fatser. I guess this is good if you like realism, but this is Bond damn it not "Ghost Recon".

*Mouse sensitivity-You can adjust it to go a lot smoother but you tend to make the game more glitchy that way. I used an "Alienware Area51 PC" with the new "Geforce-4 titanium graphics card" and the game still got a little glitchy.

*No blood. Hey "Goldeneye" had blood but what's up with this? Would have made the game a lot more real. Plugging a guy in the head and not seeing a spray of scarlet is lame.

FINAL VERDICT:

Nightfire recieves a (4.5/5)

Despite the Cons (Which are really small in the game) this game is a lot more fun and better looking than the outdated "Goldeneye" It's time to move on people, Bond is back and better than ever! Buy this game when it comes out for PC! (the only way to enjoy a game is using a PC)

NOTE: I played the DEMO version of Nightfire for the PC so it may be a lot different and some of the glitches may have been changed when the game is released.

Better be careful if you decide to buy this game. Buggy beyond belief, it will not run at all on an 2200+ Athlon system with 512 megs of RAM and a 64 mb video card. ZERO tech support. And if does not run, you take the risk of not being able to return it as I found out--I was told copyright issues preclude its return. A bad, bad mess.

Nope, no sir I didnt like it.

I just have one thing to say. I ran up to 5 different enemies in the first level, while blowing their friends away, and they did nothing once I ran behind them. I had time to switch from the SMG, to the pistol, point it, decide to put the silencer on, put the silencer on and finally kill them. Any game with AI like this should be banned. I thought rainbow six was bad with the AI that wouldnt react to their friends getting killed right in front of them but that was 5 years ago, EA has no excuse. I give it a second star because it is Bond and is one of the few games to actually use pixel shading. Avoid this game. Just get the demo and you'll get the best this game has to offer.

James Bond 007: Nightfired.....

James Bond 007: Nightfire seriously is in need of a patch. The graphics during gameplay have serious clipping issues whereas the 3d models will appear see-thru (as if you have x-ray glasses). The models will flash see-thru and then normal much like a strobelight. When this error happens the gameplay also becomes choppy. One can only speculate that this game was released before it was fully play tested only to meet the release of the new Bond movie: Die Another Day. Unfortunately I cannot tell whether this game has good graphics, sound, or gameplay... I cannot even play the game due to the heavy graphic problems. The clipping issue that flashes the see-thru to normal 3d objects could cause seizures for some small children. My advice to gamers is to wait until the patch is released that fixes this issue or wait for a new version of this game to be released. Even with updated drivers the game still has the issues I described. I followed the troubleshooting tech manual that was included in the game and it still did not fix the problem. This cleary shows that the errors are not with my computer system but in fact is a result of poor play testing and programming of the software. I run a system at:
Dell 4300 Computer System -
P4 1.6 ghz
64 mb Geforce 3 DDR video card
512 mb RAM
Turtle Beach soundcard
80 gig harddrive

I cannot rate this game at this time so I gratiously give it a 3 out of 5.

As soon as I downloaded the game, the introduction began which was well done. However, after I started to play the game, the screen started to flash so much that I could not see what was going on. Unfortunately, this did not resolve. I would not recommend this game until the bugs are resolved.

This is too bad

This game could have been a lot of fun if they would have let you play Mutiplayers without having to conect to the internet, First what if you don't have the internet second what if you can't conect right them which is most of the time, Me and my buddy had so much fun with the last one we played against each other all the time it was a blast.. It is just too bad. I hope the next one has that opption.

I found this game to be a sorry atempt to repeat Goldeneye. It does have some very benefical graphics, guns, and music. But the women and other characters look like mutants when seen up close. Also it requires Directx 8.1b. This is a drag because most people will have to upgrade to use the system. I would reccomend FPS games like Star Trek elite force and Goldeneye. But i am old school. If you want my advice, check to see if your system can handle DX8.1 first. If you don't it will cost you. (i have a p4 and it still messed up my system)
