Something tells me being on the show isn't as difficult as playing this game. The controls are sloppy, there's no easy way just to get into the game and play, you have to jump through some serious hoops to get far in this game.

I purchased this game on a whim while actually looking for another software package totally unrelated to games. Since I am a major fan of Law and Order, I decided to try it. I waited a week or more before I had time to look at the game and from then on I was hooked. Since them, I have purchased all 3 Law and Order games and would recommend them to anyone who enjoys mystery games. This game was so engrossing that my entire family was playing it with me for hours.

There were some places where you could get stuck for hours, but it made it all the more challenging for me. I am going to wait for a few months and play it again to see if I can do better on my score.

Many Twists and Turns

This was the first Law and Order game that I played and I enjoyed it quite a bit. It came with a bonus copy of Law and Order: Dead on the Money and I think they have made a lot of improvements in Justice is Served. Besides just looking better, I like that they have cut down the time it takes for the labs to process stuff. There are many different characters to interview and puzzles to solve along the way, and the story does have many twists.

However, there still are some problems with the game. The first is that in order to get a search or arrest warrant, you have to have to know exactly which evidence backs it up -- a lot of the time I felt like some evidence was important but the makers of the game apparently did not agree. This was also a problem in the trial part of the game.

And of course, as with all games like this, this is really a one play game unless you just want to see if you can get a higher score.

Great game

This game puts you in an episode of L&O. The actors voices are used, the script is great and the game flow is good. This is the best of the L&O game series.

They took out the timing criteria from the previous games so now you can take your time and investigate every clue. Less bugs. More enjoyable. Get the game!

The game does not load

I think I would really enjoy palying the games but I can never get them to load on my computer. I have bought three Law and Order games now and all have not worked in some fashion or the other. I have, since the first game I purchased, purchased a new Dell so it is not my computer. I am by no means a computer wizard but I certinaly no how to install a game. I am very disapointed in Legacy Interactive software.

Just Not As Much Fun

I liked the first two games much better than this one. This one was more frustrating, it just didn't "flow". I would often run out of things to ask people and would have to look at an on-line walk through, which I hate to do. It usually ended up being some silly thing I missed, but would have never thought of and/or didn't seem logical thing to do. The game didn't seem to have any sequence, like the others, and felt very "mixed up". The puzzles varied from very easy to medium difficulty. The dialog was very annoying, your partner constantly comments on every little thing, and I mean EVERY LITTLE THING! There were a few bugs in the game, freezing, jumping, etc. The graphics I did not feel were as good as the prior games and some of the characters voices were much lower than others. The plot was good, but again, not as much fun as the other 2 games. If you like the series, it's worth playing once, but don't expect it to be better than the first 2.

Solid, entertaining game that plays like a TV episode!

The third of three L&O games this one comes with new features such as the 'Tell me about ...' feature that allows for a broader questioning phase (like you have person (or evidance) on file that you want to know more about you can ask witnesses about it), and does away with the detective strength/weaknesses that was part of the early games. This makes for a smooth, fluent entertaining game that gives you the feeling of being inside the TV show. This is the best game of the three as it has quite a few challenging puzzles, more witnesses and less patches to be downloaded (!!)
The bonus disks of 'Dead on the Money' work fine if you already have 'Law and Order II: Double or Nothing' installed on your computer. If not, you will need to download the patches off the offical webpage in order to play the bonus game. Also, in response to another review on this webpage, the time limit given in the bonus game can be turned off if at the beginning of the game you choose 'Efficiency' as one of your detective/lawyer strengths. The countdown is MUCH slower.

I liked the old versions better!

This game is WAAAY too short. They took alot out from the last 2 and IMO it just wasn't as fun. They really should have had 2 cases going on at once with some link to each other in the end if they were planning on making it shorter than the other 2.

Mine came with a free copy of Dead on the Money... I wonder if they did that to apologize in advance...
