If you want this for Mortal Kombat II or III, think again.

If you want this title for Mortal Kombat II or MKIII, think again. Upon receiving this game, I was immensely excited with my anticipation of being reunited with the classic Mortal Kombat II. The game looks great. The controls are there. But the one huge turn-off is that this game is so unplayable in 1-player mode. The CPU opponent is so ridiculously cheap and difficult that you are lucky if you can even get passed the 3rd fighter. I used to beat the old arcade and SNES versions of MKII, but cannot barely pass the 3rd or 4th opponent.

If you want to play against other people then the game is great. But if you plan on just enjoying the game for yourself and want to play the CPU? Good luck. Because you will need a ton of it.

This is The Best Compilation Arcade game ever!!!!

This game has pretty good graphics and a good amount of games and variety on one disc. I like, Total Carnage, MK 2,3, Gauntlet 2, Cyberball 2072, Pit Fighter, Arch Rivals, Xybots, Championship Sprint, Primal Rage and Rampage World Tour. But games like Wacko, Hard Drivin, Xenophobe, Kozmik Kroozer, APB and Spy Hunter 2 arent worth your time. This game also includes interviews about the games on here which I think are cool and interesting. I would Pay 20$ for this game. If your seeking more compilation games, see my reviews on the following games, Midway arcade Treasures 1 and 3, Atari Anthology, Intellivision Lives, Capcom Classics Collection Volume 2, and Taito Legends 1. Also coming soon is... Namco Museum 50th anniversary, Taito Legends 2, Capcom Classics Collection Volume 1 and Sega Classics Collection and/or Sega Genesis Collection.

ONE THE COOLEST OLD SCHOOL COLLECTIONS EVER!!!!!!

Mortal Kombat 2, Narc, Rampage World Tour, Pit Fighter, Primal Rage and Total Carnage!!!!! THIS ARE THE VIOLENT, FUN, TWISTED, DESTRUCTIVE, EXPLOSIVE HIGH BUDGET ACTION-PACKED classic games in the list. If you are a fan of the 90's or late 80's then this game is for you because it will bring you back to the 2D non-stop fun that you were raised when you were a kid or teenager.

Games like Gauntlet 2, Mortal Kombat 3, Kozmik Kroozr, Arch Rivals and Timber also hold action and fun but not BIG BUDGET FUN like the games I first said.

The rest is cars and other low budget cheesy games, if you want cool car games then wait for Midway Arcade Treasure 3.

IMPORTANT: Don't lisen to the other reviwers!!! This games are CLASSICS!!....... OK, maybe not SO classics as the first Midway collection or the Activision Atari Classics but maybe the one of the FUNNIEST games ever created.

P.S: I can't wait for Konami does the same thing!!!! I MISS THE SIMPSONS ARCADE GAME AND ALIEN VR. PREDATOR!!!!!!!!!!!!

ADIOS!

Being from the old school I still have a soft spot for the classics. If you feel the same, then you will not be disappointed here. Total carnage, Narc, Mortal Kombat 2 and 3, spy hunter 2, gauntlet 2, and rampage world tour make this a must for anyone who has ever spent time in an arcade in the ninetys. From killing drug dealers in Narc, to all out fighting in mortal kombat, to all out destruction in rampage you are really getting a lot for your money here. You also have some filler material in here which isnt the greatest but some isnt all that bad either. Hands down though, I would recomend this to anyone 25 and over. And you youngsters out there owe it to yourself as well to check out what I would consider a sample of the golden age of arcade games. This will work in a ps3 also but BEWARE OF MIDWAY 3 WHICH WILL NOT PLAY in a ps3.

Mortal Kombat 2? MK3? Arch Rivals? NARC?

The second round of arcade classics is in for the PS2 and Midway comes through again. Gone are the interviews and histories of the games which is mildly disappointing, but it's made up for with more classic games being brought back on a single disc.

Fair warning for parents who might be buying this game for their children. While the violence and gore present in the games is somewhat tame by today's standards (Except for the Mortal Kombat games), it is still present. Rent it first and make sure it's not overly gory for your children if you aren't 100% sure. Otherwise, it's another good addition to your collection.

Cheers to Midway for releasing another "Arcade Treasures" collection. "Midway Arcade Treasures 2" contains 20 games from different years(mostly from early 80s to the late 90s). Some of the highlights of the game include "Timber", "Narc", "Mortal Kombat 2 and 3", and "Rampage World Tour" just to name a few. Several of the games have not been seen in arcades in years; for example, the driving simulator "Hard Drivin" and "Wacko". This collection has tighter controls and an increased replay value than the first collection of arcade treasures. It is a great game for a great price.

Even the lesser known titles feel classic

Unlike most people, I didn't get this game for either MK games, rather for Total Carnage (Smash Tv is one of my all time favorites). That right there was worth my money. Then I relized something, "there are 19 more games to play, HOLY SH*T". Overall, anyone who wants a few multi-player games should get this, despite the FEW noticable flaws.
