I really enjoyed the game. It's very colorful but the sound is a bit cheesy. I have played many mega man games in the past ans this one of one of the hardest. I had to go to youtube to find most of the secrets. If you think about buying this game, you have made a great choice.

The second to last game of the series

This was the second to last game with the original megaman and his originally nemisis doctor willy if you exclude the mega man games from the original series in gameboy format like mega man 1 through 5 redone for game boy inbetween 1990 and 2007 if you don' conclude the foreign games that were not imediately release in the united states. This includes the two stretfighter fighting games power fighter one and two and megaman and bass megaman. Thi s game cam be fun but challange if you use normal shouts on the bosses and don't no there exact weakness. Here. I will start with thye second boss fight with doctor Willy and move backword don't want these tips then close the page. For boss docot willy the second time there are two way that you can beat him if you have enough enery tanks and doge enough. Willy has about a 71% restitance against spring mans spring ball like weapons but about 15 hit from spring mans ability will defeat the crazey doctor if you have enough eazy and change recharge the energy meteor for the ability up frequently enough. second method but possibly harded method due to willy frequently turns his squacer invisible is to hit him with a full power mega buster blast this should take him down with about 7 to 9 hits if you can surve long enough with out infite health if your shoots do not miss him or hit him when he is invulerable. For doctor willy the first time batte 24 he has a slight partial weakness against the electricn white energy ball like attack there is a likely hod of about 18 to 24% pecent that this special move will take away 1/16 or about 6.25% of his life bar away each time it is fire. To do this it must hit this skull like TYE walker walker like boss in the eye area when it's face foward about sixteen times. A quicker faster method is to once again hit him with a full power mega buster attack this attack if it hits the right spot will cause about 6 to 7% more damge pure hit than the electric ball caused the ship to explouded with about 7 direct hits if you dodge his attacks and use your enerry tanks if you have any to heal at the appropriate time. For the 23th boss fight the second battle with spring man his rsitance against normnal shot is strong at 94.7 percent% There are two way to defeat him that doabout the same amount damgage you can defeat him with about 5 to7 if by use of either a directly hit from a full power charge mega buster shoot or 5 to ten hits from slash man ability a point bank range wil defeat him quickly if you doge fast enough. He is drastically weakerwith only a 80.5 % percent resitance from damge if he does or he is out of the short 3 inches to 2 foot strike range of slash mans ability. For the 22th second boss fight the turbo man rematch. Using a fully power mega buster shot will take him out with about 7 hits. But there is another techinque that's even quicker. Turbo man for some reason is weak again soom wave like attacks like used my guile in stret fighter. You have suck and attack you get it once you death the robot master shade man. It is a sonar like sonic protetile weapon it's super effective his resitance is low at only 23.8 percent hit him five times with out it being dodge in the front or back and it's back to the master heap for him. For the 21th boss fight the ice boss re fight you have to method that do the same damage hit him with seven full power mega buster or have him touch you when surrounded by the junk mans equivelnt of wood mans leaf shield from mega man 2 7 times and he goes down like the truck from Duel. For the rematch with cloud man use a ability similar to that of buble man from megamnman to is super devstating and take him down with only about 5 hits give him only a 23.8 percent restiance for a slihglt harder mroe difficult battle you can try the extend the battle another 28.5% if your good enough at dogging know you can defat him and heal before he defeats you. For the slash man rematch he also has super low restitance of only 23.8 percent against the ice robots ability blast him five times and you have your self a fromzein wolverine wana a bee on a stick. The gigantic clown like boss has highj attack strengthhis weak point is a small gem on his you can either try to hit him fiften times in the head with sonic weapon you get from shade man or you can do the same process with 7 to 9 hits by using your normal buster shoot fulling charged instead. For enormorus turtle bus I don't recomed ussing coil mans movie because the turtles has high resitance against the effects of it take 11 to 15 hits to defeat it if you don't hit it when it's recoils inside and is temporarly invulerable will in sends out a few smaller minions. I recommend the charge shoot at full power to take it down in about 7 shout if they hit properly you can cut cut down another 30 to 50% of running time more or less. For the final battle with bas have at least one e one you because base and treble the ecvil mega man and rush joing together. I higly recommed hit him with 7 to 9 full power charge shot instead of hitting him with 9 to 13 times with the ability of the current ice robot. To beat up the giganti guts man like robot with the giant claw you can either hit him 12 time with slash mans low strike range attack or you can use full power charge shoot will doinging and healing at the right time and reduce him to scrape in half the time if you hit him every single ytime in the right area. For the second fight with bass hit with about 8 to 14 of sonic wave blast attacks you get from deathing shadow man or blast him with the mega blast full speed if you think you can out match his speed and take him down with out invulerability or armor enhacement cheats on to reduce damage which I don't think they had back when this came out. It's getting to late I may send you startegies for the other bosses at a later date but use what I have advised for now or watch the guys speed run on you tubve you might be able to beat this game in a phonilmal time of 10 to 68 minutes depending on practic and if you do things legal which people seldom due in these games thanks for reading this if you did.

A great continuation of the classic series for the SNES

Being a Megaman fan for the past 16 years, it's easy for me to appreciate everything that MM7 has to offer. It's a perfect continuation of the classic MM games from the NES to the SNES. I highly recommend MM7 to any Megaman fan. Consider yourself lucky if you own this game for the SNES, though, as it's pretty rare. If you can't get the SNES version, then just pick up the Anniversary Collection. Either way, you shouldn't pass up on this game if you're a fan of Megaman.

For the actual content of the game, Megaman 7 still retains all of the features that made the classic MM games for the NES so much fun to play. The password systems are still here, so you must keep track of passwords to record your game status(however, the Anniversary Collection allows you to save your game to a memory card). Another great feature that has made Megaman a classic series is the music. As the music in the NES games was excellent, it's just as good in MM7.

Gameplay-wise, this game does a great job in allowing you to get the feel for the controls, so even if you've never played a Megaman game before, you should have no problems getting used to the gameplay. Overall, if you enjoyed the classic MM games for the NES, then chances are that MM7 is gonna blow you away, it's really that good.

Best of the original series!

This is the first one I've ever played, and still my favorite! It is magnificent! Anyway, here is my review...

Graphics: 10/10: Very clean and colorful and detailed!

Sound:7/10: Mega Man's buster sounds like a frikin' pea shooter! Other than that, the sound effects are decent.

Music: 9/10: Pretty catchy, especialy the first level of Dr. Wily's castle!

Gameplay: 100/10: Oh yeah!!! This is what I'm what I'm talking about!! There is now an intro level and 4 bosses. Once you beat the 4 bosses, another 4 pop up! There are tons of hidden goodies. Collect R-U-SH letters to get the Super Adaptor! The Rush Coil and Jet are back, as well as Rush Search! And the bosses are creative! And some weapons interact with objects! You can also find Beat, and he can help you! There is also an item shop! Bass and Treble are here, too.

A classic! Get this!

FUN!

Mega Man fans have something to keep an eye out for with this, the only game in the classic MM series for SNES. It has eight all new, never before heard of bosses. It actually started a new custom in the classic series: first a single level, then four bosses to defeat (in this case, Cloud Man, Burst Man, Junk Man, and Freeze Man,) then, another single stage (as sort of an intermission,) four more bosses (Shade Man, Turbo Man, Spring Man, and Slash Man,) followed by Wily's Castle. The game is fun with catchy music and surprisingly difficult stages. Overall, if you own an SNES, look for this on here or on Ebay, it's worth it.

The classic series is reborn

It seemed as if the classic Mega Man series was dead. After the NES expired, the highly-bizzare Mega Man Soccer failed to bring the classic series into a modern age. But finally, in 1995, Capcom tries once again to bring the original series into a sixteen-bit universe, with a classic, traditional-styled game that would be a sequel to Mega Man VI. Read on for my review of Mega Man VII.

PROS:
-IT'S THE CLASSIC SERIES ON THE SUPER NINTENDO, AT LONG LAST! It took Capcom long enough to do this, but I'm glad that they finally decided to do so!
-THERE ARE TONS OF COOL ITEMS IN ADDITION TO THE MASTER WEAPONS. You can get a Super Adaptor that combines the Jet and Power adaptors from the previous game, plus the Rush Coil and Rush Jet are back! There is also the Rush Search, an item that lets Rush dig items out of the ground - this is TOO cool! And, if you look hard enough, you might even get Proto Man's shield!
-THE ROBOT MASTERS ARE CONSIDERABLY BETTER THAN THE ONES IN MEGA MAN VI. I think that point speaks for itself. This game's robot masters are actually some of the most imaginative in the series.
-ALTHOUGH NOT AN X GAME, THE GAME BORROWS SOME IMPORTANT ELEMENTS FROM THE X SERIES. There is the element of being able to switch through Master Weapons with L and R, and the way the fortress is done. These help to improve the game greatly. Also, the Robot Masters react to the weapon they are vulnerable to, making it easier to plan your attack.
-THE GAME REINTRODUCES THE ITEM REPLICATOR, THE FEATURE THAT MADE THE LAST TWO GAME BOY MEGA MAN GAMES SO GREAT. It's about time this was featured in a consular Mega Man game!
-EXCELLENT MUSIC. This game features some of the best music in the entire Mega Man series. Listen to it for yourself to see what I mean.

CONS:
-THE SOUND EFFECTS ARE WEAK. They sound like they game off of the Game Boy!
-THE CHARACTER SPRITES AREN'T DONE TOO WELL. For example, Mega Man's sprite is too big, which gives you less room to move around on the screen! The Game Boy games had this same problem, too.
-THE FINAL BOSS IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT, AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY. Fighting the final boss is going to make you want to rip your hair out - believe me.
-THE GAME'S CHALLENGE LEVEL IS IMBALANCED. You'll find yourself cruising through the game with no trouble at all, and then you'll be challenged more than you ever have before! The uneven nature of this game is one of its weaknesses.

OVERALL:
Overall, despite a few complaints, I think that this is one of the finest entries in the Mega Man series. The only reason I think people tend to bash this game is because they compare it to the X series and not the classic NES games. There really isn't a whole lot wrong with this game, and it's one of the best games in the series out there.

A true classic

Big question for Capcom:

Why didn't you guys do this sooner?

Megaman 7 is a true classic. The weapons are fun to use and the bosses are relatively interesting. A big bonus here are all of the codes and secrets that are strewn throughout the game, just a few are: Rush Adapter, Proto shield, and secret 2 player mode that allows you to duel as either Bass or Megaman!

There's not too much bad to say about this game, except that there are some cheesy parts- like the opening sequence with Otto's car (it has eyes? What for?). The graphics are also pretty good. The music is outstanding- especially in Dr. Wily's castle.

Pluses:
-The ONLY original megaman series game sold on snes.
-Good graphics.
-Lotsa secrets.
-FUN!

Minuses:
-Why did capcom wait so long to come out with the original series for snes?
-Hard to find.
-Okay, you made the move to snes but you still have to press down and jump to slide? (As oppossed to the X series where only one button is pressed to dash).
-The bosses in the castle do not explode in the cool way the do in the X series, in fact the way they do is rather lame unfortunately.
-Slashman stage a cheesy move to capitalize on the then new movie jurassic park. (Though, with the passage of time it may bot be as apparrent)

Conclusion:
If you can find it, buy it. A true classic. If you play Megaman 8 after playing this one you'll be wondering aloud why they changed so much in 8.

An SNES classic! A must have for action-adventure fans!

I have owned my SNES for nearly 8 years, and for much of that time have enjoyed the Megaman series after renting X3 for the first time and enjoying it. I will say this: if you are any one of the following three things, I would reccomend this to you.

1. An action-adventure fan
2. A Super NES owner (you must apply to this)
3. A Megaman fan

If you apply to any of these, try to find this game. It's rare, like most Megaman games in existence, but it's worth it. The challenge is well balanced. Some bosses (Cloud Man, Junk Man, and Spring Man, for instance) are easy. Some (particularly Turbo Man) are a pain in the bootay. The graphics look splendid, almost as colorful as the PS classic MM8. The levels are well designed. The music is good and catchy. For Super Nintendo, which is truly the best system ever invented, this is perfect. Go to your nearest bargain store and look for it.

A major letdown.

After Wily is imprisoned, Wily has brand new robotmasters that are reactivated and break the bad doctor out of jail. Mega Man speeds to the rescue of his city and meets a new robot named Bass, whose origin and objective are unclear initally but through a major plot twist, Wily's plan comes full circle. Here's the lowdown on Mega Man's first adventure on the SNES:

THE GOOD
The level designs are pretty good by standard. We get some interesting new bosses including Shade Man and Turbo Man (Shade Man's music rocks and his stage reminded me of Castlevania). The Rush adaptors from MM6 are mashed into one Rush adaptor here that allows temporary flying and a unique "buster" in which Mega Man throws his fist at the enemy! There is also a new Rush function called "Rush Search" in which Rush can find hidden items (including the EXIT option). I also loved how this game connected with MM6.

THE BAD
The sprites in this game, particularly Mega Man's, is funky. The music is mostly subpar with only a handful of tunes that are memorable, and the sound effects sound like they came off of a game boy! While the level designs were alright, Mega Man's sprite is just too damn big for the levels and this goes against manuvering. Proto Man also doesn't do much but give advice here and I wished he was given more game time (that doesn't come til MM8). Like MM6, this game seems like it was rushed... and it is the rarest Mega Man game known to man.

OVERALL
While this game holds onto many qualities that the series has, it has many factors going against it. If Capcom had spent more time on the game before its release, it would've probably been a great Mega Man game. Alas, it didn't come out too well. My suggestion: only get it if you are a Mega Man fan, AND get it for a reasonable price. It's not a gamer's heaven, unfortunately.

A great series in its finest hour

Unlike the first two SNES games, this is not part of the X series. Rather it is a sequel to the NES adventure Mega Man 6, in which Wily was finally jailed. Here a secret plot is revealed and Wily escapes prison. Shortly after you meet the mysterious warrior Bass and his robotic dog Treble (odd how similar they are to Mega Man and Rush, isn't it?) The Rush Coil and Rush Jet are back, along with the new Rush Search (Rush digs in the ground for items, but sometimes just pulls up junk), The Super Adaptor, which gives you a rocket punch attack and double jump. Search hard enough and you'll battle Proto Man, the mysterious brother of Mega Man. Defeat him and you'll get a special item! Pretty much any aspect of the NES Mega Man games is present here, making this an awesome 16-bit return to normalcy for the Blue Bomber. This is the best game in the Mega Man series, despite a few flaws. If you have a Super Nintendo then DO NOT BE WITHOUT THIS GAME.
