To be one of the best Multiplayer/Single Player out there.

Nothing will get better than this. I'm a dedicated follower to Tf2 and tfc. Look at the pyro in tf2, its going to use that volumetric fire technique. So ya spray it in a small room... it will fill the whole room. Nothing better than that. You can also hear the words... lag? What lag? What about being able to talk to other players, and have your mouth move at that same time? Neato!

I don't get it

There are a lot of reviews for this game, it's not even out... Oh! But wait, every single frickin' review tells you not to listen because it isn't out yet. Why? Ask them.

I have been playing since in the Orange Box which is a wonderful bargain. Team Fortress 2 I have now played over 50 hours. I keep coming back to the multiplayer experience with friends and new maps. It keeps growing on me. I like engineer, medic, and pyro the best and enjoy being in support roles that help the team. I like games that do better when you put the team ahead of your own achievements which then tend to take care of themself.

Best thing Valve has made, ever! Most addicting game (guess) ever!!!!!!!!!

This is THE online game, the people at Valve outdid themselves in making this game. I can't stop playing it, the multiple classes change the entire way you play a match, so it always feels fresh and never boring. In playing this, teamwork cannot be stressed enough, because players have to utilize each others' abilities and perks to win. The all too common issue of single people determining the way a game ends because of a good gun or individual skills is gone from experiencing this game, teamwork is the way you have to play. A team of moderately skilled players, working together and communicating and solving issues as a whole, will dominate any group of skilled players who care about individual glory. Great fun, even if you are new to video games, you learn quickly and master each class with ease. For players who've been playing games for a while, this will be a refreshing new way to enjoy online gaming.

Where did you go?

This game does not exist. Where are the release dates? Where is the hype?... It seems as if this game was big A YEAR AGO, but it has been so long without any new infomation that its hard to imagine this game ever being in the hands of the gamers... but if it does come out... I bet it will ROCK!!!

The worst LAN game ever!

If you are planning like me to play OFFLINE and on a LAN network, dont get this game, it sucks for that, there is a LAN terminal area but no way to set up a LAN game network, everything has to run online and it says its DSL compatable but dont believe it, you need cable to run this bloody thing online anyhow! I have yet to play a game as the DSL speeds are too slow to connect and I have no way to play a LAN game like I do with Battlefront series of games, whats the use of 4 computers in my house if I cant do a networked game, this game is a waste of money, I am highly pissed off on this companies bull&^$&!

The law needs to be changed on opened software purchase returns and allot of these companies would get the idea to finish a game and make it playable by all before releasing garbage and taking my money, I am on a fixed income now and cant afford these software bastards stealing my cash with crap that wont run!

Get Ready for some "Close Combat" action

Couldn't get it to connect to any server

O.k. - technically, I shouldn't rate this game on how much "fun" it is - because I was never able to connect to a server to actually play at.

For some reason, the "Steam" portal - which is created by the same company - works fine, I could connect, download updates, all that fun stuff.

But anytime I tried connecting to a server to play Team Fortress 2 - it would never connect.

I'm not a network engineer, or a programmer - but would somebody please explain to me how the same company can create one program that is able to connect through the internet, but another program (that runs at the same time as the first) isn't able to?

To me that's just bad programming.

After spending several hours trying to get this game working, I just threw it in the trash - a waste of $14.

It will also make me think twice about purchasing ANY game form Valve, Half Life, Counter Strike, Portal - whatever.

I've played several other games which have been able to connect through the internet without any effort, or reconfiguration on my part. Why should I have to put in all the hassle to try and play this game?

I don't think that I should have to turn off my firewall, or delete other programs - just so I can play this one.

Sorry Valve - you lost a customer.

Not a Real Product!

Valve has already admitted that TF2 was a cover name for Half-Life 2
TF2 doesn't exist in separate retail form, however, supposedly a TF2 will be included with Half-Life 2
Its just amazing how many retailers bought into it, and then, how many people actually think that this was supposed to be released (separate from HL2)
Ignore this, and go get Half-Life 2
(and use a Nvidia card, Radeons aren' that good)

Finally, after about three years, the game Sierra has promised has finally been announced... again. First showed at E3 a couple years back, it made a big impression on the crowds, then disappeared while Sierra continued to release patches for TFC. Well, now we have TFC 2 coming soon, and judging from what I've seen and heard, it will be better than the original. By a long shot. It will focus more on real life war than the original's so/so attitude. And it is the successor to TFC, one of the best games in its field, second only to Half-Life. So what I have to say is if you like FPS buy it. If you like online multiplayer, buy it. If you play computer games, but it. Really, just buy it. I'm sure it will have been worth the wait.
