Fun Fun Fun for Kids of all ages

This game is really fun for kids of all ages. You have to collect teeth and lead mummies back to their tomb. You get to put on a chicken suit and fly. You can ride blimps and travel to other areas. This game is great for kids because if you die it does not dump you too far back to start over which is a major complaint in Ratchet and Jak. Kids of all ages love this game. Would suggest this game for anyone to buy. Not violent at all!!!!!

sort of boring, but good for young kids

What I like about it
The graphics and sound effects are fantastic-- some of the best I've seen. You get unlimited lives and you are returned near the same spot when you die so you can jump off a cliff as many times as you want and it doesn't matter. Good humor, like when you pick up a sheep, Tak's little legs stick out from a ball of fluff and the sheep looks around like he's surprised to be up there. Sliding down the vines is pretty fun.

What I don't like
My seven year old gets kind of lost and wanders around aimlessly for hours and gets frustrated. He says he likes the game, but turns it off more often then other platform games he has. The unlimited lives takes some of the challenge out of it; you don't even need to worry about creatures biting you because it doesn't matter if you die. So you can just run through them without care. The pace is very slow and it gets a bit repetitive-- you have to whak the same little creatures, pick up the same feathers, and the scenery doesn't change much.

Overall, probably boring for most adults or older kids, and probably fun for very young kids. I would suggest you rent it before you buy just to be sure you like it.

Fun and Fustraition

I bought this game becasue it seemed like it would be really easy and not take much thought. I was so wrong. This game is alot of fun becasue the character tak is posed to the player as a loveable underdog. He has humorous sayings and behavior. The difficulty in this game is sometimes it is hard to figure out which direction to go because everything begins to look the same. The enimies are not hard to beat once one gets the hang of it. The JU JU's are funny and a little bit helpful. Flora, the sprite that supposedly helps tak along the way is not that helpful. She is apart of the game alot in the beginning to show the player how to use differnt things but comes along less and less as the game progresses. She can become annoying when something becomes difficult and tak has to start over constantly. She begins to sound just as fustraited as the player may be when the board is hard to beat. I have not finished the game yet but I find it overall enjoyable and funny.

Rated E for everyone because not violent!!!

In response to the ridiculous review of a previous customer, THIS GAME IS NOT TOO VIOLENT. This game is rated an E for a reason and that is because it is not too violent of a video game. Take Jak2 for instance, it does not have a E because it does contain more violence. The previous person who reviewed Tak obviously did not play the game as well because there is not even a Tiger in the game.

Now as for a review, this game is great. It does have a great storyline and is very witty to say the least. For those platformers who are looking for creativity this game is it. The controls I would rate 8, game mechanics 9, and graphics 9. I would recommend this game to my son, my mom and even my grandma as far as the violence goes.

This game is so cool. I totally loved the graphics in it and all of the fun stuff you get to do. You get to ride a rhino and dawn a chicken suit. I like the spirit level the best. This game is challenging and I didn't get bored. If you like platformers then you'll love this one because it is by far the best graphics in any I have seen!

This game is fun. I like that it takes you to about 13 different levels and offers snowboarding and sand to. It's fun to play and use the animals to help you. My brother is good at it to and he is only 8. The differnt weapons are staff, club, and spirit rattles. You can swing on vines, swim, jump, catapult and more. I liked it a lot. We rented it first and then bought it.

I bought this game for my 2 sons and they love it. They play it non-stop. I am surprised though at one of the reviews on your site. The buyer says the game is really violent...He couldn't be further from the truth...This game is not violent, it has lots of humor. I would recommend this game to anyone.

Fun title for kids and parents

Colorful and beautiful game with large organic environments to explore. The difficulty is well done because you are allowed to continue without losing progress, so it means the game can be enjoyed by kids and adults.

Great character designs. Action is relatively simple platforming so if you dont like platformers you wont like this game. But uses a clever puzzle system based on animal interaction so it feels different to other games, and looks a lot more natural.

Gamecube version of the game also is excellent.

Tak To The Rescue !!

"Tak to the rescue" is all I hear from my 4 year old who can basically only sit and watch her older family members and myself play the game. I think that this game is wonderful for kids of any age. I do not think this game is violent in any way and believe it to be the complete opposite. For the mother with the child punching the T.V I belive your problem lies further within your child then within any game. Besides you have the wrong game there are not even any tigers or such actions in this game!!! I Give Tak a 100% thumbs UP !!!!!
