My mom and I were in the Half Price Book Store one day and this game was on the shelf so we got it. I thought that the intermediate level was IMPOSSIBLE at first but once you get the hang of it, it's really easy! I have had a lot of fun with this game and it has taught me a lot more about riding. The horses don't look all that real but the game is fun anyway!

Very outdated

When I first got horse and pony stables I thought it looked like a good game. I was wrong. It's very badly put together. First of all the graphics are terrible and the gameplay is very slow and scratchy. Here is basic overview of the whole thing: You start out in a stables that has about twelve horses, which are each a different color. All you can do with the horses is 'groom' them but the horses don't look any different after you've groomed them. After you have found your way around the stables you can sign up for lessons in the areana. All the lesson consists of is reading a paragraph on whatever (there are about 50 things you read in all the lessons.) Once you're done reading you take a test. Like if you read about how to stop the horse, the outline of a horse and rider will appear and you will have to click the correct position that the rider should be in. It gets very boring. Once you have passed you can enter a competition. You can compete in dressage, cross country and show jumping were you can chose from five different horses to ride, but they all look identical. In dressage You watch a five minute thing where you see a horse and rider move across the areana. Then it's your turn. You have to literally memorize their movements which is imposible. In show jumping and cross country you just go over a boring sequence of jumps in which the graphics are even worse. I got this game about a year ago and only played it for a week. Unless you're desperate for a horse game don't get it.
