NO DOUBT THHIS MAY BE A GOOD GAME. BUT UNLESS YOU HAVE SUPER MACHINE AND ARE FULLY INFORMED IN TECH MATTERS, STAY AWAY. THE INSTRUCTIONS AR NOT COMPLETE ENOUGH FOR AN AVERAGE GAMER. A LOT MORE HELP COULD BE GIVEN BY TNE MAKER. I DONNT KNOW IF IT IS THE GAME OR MY MACHINE BUT I WOULD STICK TO COMBAT 1&2

cfs 3 a major disapointment

this simulation seems like a throw back to a time when flight sims were in there infancy.lifeless cockpits, repetitive missions, not much fun at all.if microsoft is planing a cfs 4 i suggest they review il-2 sturmovik, this is the benchmark of combat flight sims.my advice is to save your money or buy il-2 instead.

I'll be kind. 2 and a half.

Graphically this game is one of the best around, but good visuals and graphics can't make up for its dismal AI, as well as its annoyingly consistent programming bugs and errors. Several missteps can be seen in just a 2 minute flight; the pilot changes his uniform as he bails out of his burning Mustang. Ground vehicles are passive when encountered by enemies, and the "role playing" scenario plays out rather dull. There's no award ceremonies or conversations with your comerades or decisions as to what you do next in your role. Isn't that how RPG scenarios ARE? What is this, Microsoft?

The campaign itself is rather sterile and cold, like that of CFS2's, but with less solid goals. You are given a battery of missions to take, some of which you normally wouldn't be doing if you were a fighter pilot at the time. How can a loan Me109 destroy a ship that wasn't a small tugboat?

The planes are your standard WWII material; Mustangs, Butcher Birds, 109s, Spitfires, and a Typhoon thrown in for variation. You also get a handful of prototype planes, notably the interesting but ultimately quite useless P-55 Ascender, and an RAF Vampire jet that took the rightful place of the Gloster Meteor which DID see some service before war's end. There's also some jets; notably the Me262 in a couple variants, as well as the USAAF's own P-80A Shooting Star. Flying these things is pretty predictable; small airframes barely compatible for their engines, but really really fast so you can evade. The modelling of all these planes makes one wonder why MS didn't refer to the numerous workers of CFS2's extremely talented and prolific third party ware producers. Instead, you get MS style planes similar to the ones used in the first CFS; stiff, beginner level craft.

Overall the package makes one wonder why MS didn't make an Xbox version. They'd certainly have had more success with it. But nothing short of scrapping the game and starting from scratch can save it.

I have a Pentium 4 with 256mb of memory and a High-Speed Video card using MS XP. I receive the black screen of death every time I play. Game comes with a 14 page how to fix file. Give me a break. I have CS 1 and II and have never experienced problems like this. I have run all of their suggested fixes with no results. A piece of junk!

This is a great game

I love this game. It can be a bit more of an arcade game than a simulation, but all in all, I was satisfied. This game lets you fly jets like the Shooting Star, Go-229, Me 262, and the De Havilland Vampire, all with intense graphics like their jet stream and, what amazes me, the heat from the exhaust of the engine. None of the planes in this game are fiction, even though some did not see a real dogfight or even fly in an Army, Navy, or Air Force. My personal favorite is the P-80 Shooting Star, which could have made an excellent opponent of the Me 262 in WW2 if made earlier, but its production came in mid-1945 immediately after the war. Another is the Gotha Go 229A-O; it was made by Gotha aerospace. When the U.S army stormed the Gotha factory, they found this jet in-production. It was too late to serve in WW2 and was weeks away of full scale production. If made earlier, it would have caused great damage to the allied powers. The Spitfire is the most maneuverable and was the most important allied fighter in the war. Those are just a few of the 34 variations of the 18 planes in this game. You can also fly around the cities of Paris, London, and many more. I recommend this game to anyone with a joystick. I tried it without one and it is not fun at all. But now I have one and I am really enjoying this game. With the great effects, great plane modeling, and awesome aircraft, this is one perfect game. This game isn't as repetitive as CFS2 because the missions in 2 are basically all the same. There are even torpedoes, so if you want to sink a boat, this is a great weapon to use. Don't forget to read the requirements; this game doesn't work on just any computer so think before you buy it! Have fun!

The best simulator ever!!!!

This is the second simulator that I have bought and out of the two, this one is the best!! It's like flying in real life!! It doesn't have any of the big bombers such as the B-17 or the B-24 or Lancasters but I love it anyway.
If you are trying to decide between CFS3 and CFS2, get this one! However, if you want it to run well and without stopping often, you need to have a very high-speed computer or it will not be any fun at all. (Which is something that I had to learn the hard way.) I love to dogfight, it is one of the funnest things to do on the program.

The controls are really frigid and it's not very fun. It's so realistic that it's boring. The game will let you fly in virtual reality for hours before reaching a target just as a real fighter pilot would have done except there is a warp feature which will cut the time down. You will still run out of fuel lots of times before you figure out what speeds are appropriate. It's a very complicated game and is not really very fun. There must be better flight simulation games than this. I gave it a 1 on the fun scale, but overall it's a well designed game and is the most realistic I've ever played. If the graphics were better I would have rated it as a 4 overall.

Wow, how bad is this game?!!

It's harder to fly a plane in this sim than it is in real life. ...

This is sad

I just got this game and it has been a real let down. It takes too much toime to load and the planes don't respond to the keyboard's commands. The game would be better if the panes would respond to the controls. Maybe when i try it with a joystick it will be better.

Flight simulator 3: The battle for Europe is a lot of fun to play. It's so much fun to fly around and kill the AAF or the British Airforce. You can play as the German Luftwaffe or play as The Brittish Airforce or The U.S Airforce.

It is a lot of fun to hunt down your enemies and shoot 'em full of lead. The camera angles are so unique that it gets very exciting to be in a dog-fight. It is a lot of fun and is a huge challenge to destroy your enemies.

The game's graphics are impeccable and very realistic.

Overview:

Fun- 11/10 fun to kill the Germans and the Brittish.

Gameplay- 15/10 a lot of fun and the camera angles make the dogfights very confusing and fun.

Difficulty- 5/10 Not too hard.

Graphics- 7/10 all the ground is the same except for key landscape features...pretty basic.

Overall- 38/40

This game is a lot of fun, and it's just like you're there in Europe. The graphics are somewhat basic, but it's still a lot of fun to play, the jostick adds a nice kick.

Try this game out.
