An Awesome Game

I got a demo a little while ago and this game was on it. I was a little bit curious of how it would be, especially when I heard Viewtiful Joe the prequel was a smash hit (I had never played that game). A few minutes into the game, I realize that this game is really fun! I only have the demo currently, and I play it all the time. It's more like a fighting game- a really cool fighting game! You can go into slow motion, fast speed, and I also think there's another one, but that's not in the demo. If I can get hooked on a game with a simple demo, I'm sure you could with the whole game! I don't know if this will be much help, but here is what the demo booklet had to say about the game:

---
Joe and Silvia are back in the over-the-top sequel to 2003's Game of the Year (USA Today). Viewtiful Joe 2 doubles up on the fun, offering more viewtiful style, more attitude, new VFX moves and over 40 new enemies to clobber. This time, there's a new heroine in town--for the first time, Joe and Silvia fight side by side in exciting simultaneous two-player action. Get ready to solve new puzzles and whup some viewtiful [...].

It's just awesome. I can't describe it differently. For a full review on this game and better info, [...].

I really loved the original Viewtiful Joe. I was expecting to be blown away by VJ-2. Am I ....no. The game isn't bad. It just feels more like more VJ than a new game. Sylvia is added, and a new VFX move for her to use, but thats about it. Different story, but story definately is NOT VJ's strongpoint. I feel bad, its all my fault. Capcom decided to make a lil extra money and I fell for it. C'mon Capcom, u could've at least warned us. Should've called it "Viewtiful Joe - The Deleted Scenes" or "Viewtiful Joe Xtreme" Koei knows what I'm talking about. I gave it 3 stars cause its just like the first game. But the first was a 4-5 star game so ......

This game is awesome. It is a sidescroller beat em up game. Sylvia and a few extra modes have been added in the sequel. The only problems are that the game can become very hard in the later levels and the graphics are not as good as in the previous game. If you get one version, get the GC version because the frame rate is smoother.

Hardest game ever

I've been playing video games since they first arrived on the scene, and I'm pretty damn good at them. But this game completely kicks my butt. Seriously. That's not exactly a complaint since it's been a long time since I've found a hard game. But jeez, this game may be too tough.

I've never played the original, so this was my first exposure to Joe. It's a fun little concept, and it's fun the way you're powers work. But sometimes I just got frustrated. And there were puzzles I just couldn't work out without a little internet help. In other words, it's easy to get stuck in this game which is a bad thing in a side-scrolling action platformer.

The graphics are nothing special and it can be a little repetative. The bosses in particular take just too long to beat. Once you've mastered their pattern, you're stuck repeating yourself for a few more minutes than is really fun. It can sometimes even be a little boring.

Fun concept. Fun game. But a little frustrating at times. Thank God there's a kiddie mode, or I'd never finish it.

A very wonderful game!
